  1. I heard Tory on the radio this morning taking back some words. It's just hard to beleive he's a conservative. He has NDP values at hart. Dalton is liar. His party does the same political tricks. They loot the public funds the same way. They lie, cheat and steal and pay off groups to get votes. One thing I do know, I will not have an ethnic school down the street from me. I will be allowed to talk on a cel phone in my car, and I don't have a man leader deciding how he's going to tweak and control our society. He's really NDP. He doesn't belong in the party. He's talking about what people can and can't do. What they can and can't say and I just don't like it. He's an idealist. He was asked about Shariah Law and completely paused and ducked the question Paul Martin style. If you heard this mornings interview you would even loose confidence with him. Here's the next 20 years of ethnic schooling: Ethnic schooling is created. 1 year - Ethnic school will force women to wear burkas which will cause islamic infighting. Now 'branches' ethnic of schools are born. 2 years. After terrorist attack, a teacher at an ethnic school has ties with x organazation. 4 years. Sikh's make a non sikh student wear a turban in the school to comply with thier 'religious' beliefs and this costs us millions challenging this and wasting our courts time. 5 years. Language invovlement happens. Teachers are asked to speak a certain language for language teaching in order to futher ghettoize schools 6 years. Union issues. There is a mass shortage of teachers. Ethnic teachers get fast tracked while the rest of the teachers get held to higher standards. ffwd 15 years. Now 80% of the GTA are minorities and things are out of control. People beleive that Canada is an extension of their home country. A housing sub division gets built. It will be a more caucasion area probably very far north. There's only a budget for 2 schools in that neighbourhood. One will be secular or christian. The other school will be ethnic. The ethnicity who wins the school basically mean that they neighbourhood now belongs to them. Then the first war breaks out between x culture, and y culture. This makes national news. This doesn't just segregate schools, this segregates WHOLE NEIGHBOURHOODS. You don't understand the true power in all this. This is not a small thing. You have no idea the can of worms that will be open from all this. Tory is just dumb. He's an idealist.. He could become toronto's next mayor, but keep down there. He doesn't belong in real politics.
  2. Yes I certainly have. Provinding these cites would be too time consuming. We have excess labor which drives down the prices and creates under employment for the private sector. I'm further suggesting that when 1/4 or 1/3(as I see it) people who work at all have to fund that much of the work force, it's double worse on us private workers and we get less take home money. Factor in demand of housing due to immigration and bam. Our quality of life as a Canadian just tanked over 15 years. Just yesterday on the CBC this ethnic legal organization (more gov't employees IMO) filed a report saying that visible minortities have grown in poverty over 300% in the last 6 years or so.. I can't remember and I'm at work so I can't look up the cite right now. This is because there are too few jobs, far too much labor, and those jobs that are around are very low paying.
  3. But what about Islamic holdidays like Ramadan?
  4. I agree. This election is very important for Canada as a whole. well the people who are goign to win this vote is an immigrant shift and i'm not sure they don't care about creationism very much. The immigrants need a reason to vote for Tory. it doesn't matter what we think. But most immigrants know what will happen if ethnic schools are introduced. Same with Shariah law. It pandered to a small group but not the whole. This very well may secure a Sikh vote (*might* becuase they have loyalities to the Liberal party), it's goign to secure a Jewish vote for sure because they have a good percent of all their kids in private school.). Will it appeal to the average immigrant who want to ghettoise their kids? I'm not sure. I don't know what's goign to happen.. i know it's very important!
  5. How about 'Mohommad Day'. I like that better. So does Tory most likely.
  6. I'm not voting for him for a reason. I hear him all the time on local morning radio. He's just 'not conservative'. He's really NDP/Trudeau'ist. he's an idealist. He belives in banning everyting and controlling free speech (no litterally.. he wants a complete ban on cel phones while driving'). Supposedly the feds really want him in power because they know that once Tory has won the immigrant vote, they will likely win the next election and gain the majority and this is one of the secret reasons they could be holding back parlement. For the feds this election means everything. For us Canadians this issue means a lot because it's almost like a referendum; you want A or B. In this case, do you want more ethnic ghettoization in Canada, or do you want a melting pot. Vote Tory if you want further segragation and cans of worms. Vote Dalton if you want the Devil you Know. Canadians tend to do the latter.
  7. It's funny how few people realize this.
  8. I agree. I couldn't believe that when I heard it. As I said, Tory is almost like this NDP candidate. he's not a realist, he's an idealist. He wants to control the puppets and determine what he believes to be taught to our students. He wants to play God Of Ontario and I just don't like it. He tried to run for mayor in Toronto didn't he? And he lost?
  9. No it's not faith based. It's ethnic schooling. Look at the outlines of what's involved. It will be ethnic ghettoization schooling. That's the last thing we need. Little childre grow up to be big adults.
  10. I know. I was there during the whole thing. People actively left the gov't for more money. I had friends that did the same and wished they didn't. Gov't work is make work. It's useless nonsense. All of us in Ottawa knew it. I guess that's the only time Canada became 'American' for a few years. I still feel that Canadian salaries are far too low in the private sector because we have far too much surplus of labor due to immigration. That is my major beef with immigration. Cultural and religious issues are secondary to me.
  11. Ok so who are you going to vote for supposing the Cons WILL BRING ETHNIC SCHOOLING. But let me make it crystal clear, the Conservatives WILL give you ethnic, ghettoised schooling in Ontario with schools coming to your neighbourhood of students and parents who refuse to integrate into Canada. I know a lot of promises get made and never come to fuition, but suppose that garunteed it WILL happen, are you still going to vote for the Con's? I know I will not be becuase it's a far too important issue for Canada as a whole... plus I find Tory more of an NDP'er rather than a Conservative. He's at a city politics level IMO.. he's too 'idealistic' which tends to get us Canadians in trouble. Wow I never though I would vote Liberal but I guess it's time to put a sign on my lawn.. well.. i guess that depends who my representative is.. If he's someone who hijacked a nominmation for his riding, then he's not getting on my lawn and I'm voting no one. They can all go to hell. I just really hope the ethnic schooling becomes a major issue.
  12. See Jennie that's the problem with Liberals like yourself. You have all these grand opinions and ideas, but you REFUSE to keep yourself posted and educate yourself on certain issues. I read all these responses just shaking my head (except for a few). I will profess that religion/cultural schooling (becuase culture is on the curriculem) will be the second most dangerous thing to happen to Canada beside trudeua introducing out immigraion policy. And you will say 'well you are just a racist becuase you are affraid of what you don't know and change'. But see Jennie. that's where you are wrong. WE DO KNOW. WE KNOW THEM TOO WELL. WE ARE FRIENDS WITH THEM. WE KNOW THEIR MINDSET AND WHAT THEIR GOALS IN CANADA ARE AND WHY THEY ARE HERE. Some people here aren't dumb. They see the bigger picture in all this. But you have to be very cosmopolitan and very well read to understand these concepts. Mark my words, in 20 years, after several incidents, they will not be building Sikh schools physically close to Muslim schools for 'safety reasons'. When the kids graduate from highschool they will be SO ghettoized in their culture, they will graduate with verbal accents, they will then lobby for their own universities and then demand that their race get a certain portion of of all jobs after school. And they will loby for more special rights so only teachers are that of their own religion and culture. The above scenario in history has proven over and over to destroy countries and cuase civil war. Canada is paving the way to nothing but racial segregation and disaster. Is this the Canada you want to live in?
  13. NO and that is why I'm not voting Conservative. I also feel that John Torry is more NDP than conservative. So I'll choose no one. Hopefully the immigrants will vote in Dalton becuase the immigrants will determine the winner of this election. The only thing is that immigration is not in the hands of the prov. gov't so their #1 concern is moot. Who knows what they'll do.
  14. Wow it's certainly not like that in Ontario. Here companies have a habbit of breaking employment laws regarding vacation time and holidays.
  15. I disagree. You are seing the country through the eyes of Alberta. Alberta makes up a small percent of Canada. Go out East and ask which jobs pay more. Go out in Vancouver or Victoria Island and ask what they would rather have. Gov't jobs are the cream of the crop here in Canada for the most part. Especially in Ontario and Quebec.
  16. I simply disagree with this statement. Most professionals reach the ball park, but certainly don't surpass the pay in most cases. If you work in a tech support based call center, you will get paid $10-$13 an hour. If you work for a gov't call center essential doing the same thing but with FAR less calls, you are making $60,000 not including all the load of benefits. I think you meant to say 'executives'. tha'ts where the private sectore might pay more.
  17. yeah but don't you think that possibly it's the private sector that is paying an unfair wage due to an excess of labor? Look how expensive it is to live in Canada? look at the average american household income.. ours should be around $50k average IMO considering how expensive it is to live in Canada. The gov't does have a dept where it determines what they feel fair wages are for certain jobs. And I hate to say it... wow i really hate to say this, but I think they are right. If you have a degree and went through school, you shouldn't be working in a call center for $12/h with no benefits. I think the private sector has far, far too much labor in Canada so this drives down wages and devalues education. The gov't has the luxury of not following this model and paying what they feel are fair wages. This topic that you 2 are discussing is the very core of my anti-immigration rant. My viewpoint is it drives down wages and devalues education. The gov't seems to be the only fair waged people in Canada. This just isn't the case in the US and we have to ask ourselves why that is?
  18. The reason why our wages are so low is becuase we have an excess supply of labor in most parts of Canada due to immigration for the most part. If we stopped needless immigration and moved to a logical system like every other country, wages and home prices would correct themselves and private sector wages wouldn't be that far off from gov't wages. But I think I'm alone in that opinion. The gov't pays its workers what it feels their workers deserve for the line of work. When you factor in the dollar value difference to the US, I feel that our gov't wages ARE justified. I feel our private sector wages for most jobs are too low due to way too much skilled labor, education, and other labor in our market. When there is not an excess of labor, then you get places like Calgary where you are taking a loss if you work at the gov't. I'm only saying that the back office gov't jobs for the most party are over staffed and needless and don't serve the publics interest. It more just another form of a welfare program for people with degrees. Try and get an American to work at the gov't. They will laugh at you. They want healthcare and paycheck. Here in Canada though.. it.. well it reminds me of Cuba. Those able to get those gov't jobs are elites and 'special'.. it's almost like winning the lottery. Once there, they are in a new world i've gov't workers and parties and insiders and catored events and free tickets.. and man.. i've been around that my whole life.
  19. I guess that's the crux of my argument. That's why i coined 'white collar welfare'. That's honestly what it was. Take a look. They actually shot a 3 min peice on this issue for CTV news. You'll see real ottawa civil servants and their blaring sense of entitlement: Video Link
  20. Firstly, I was there as a student and there for 8 months as a software developer many years back. The projects they had my working on were MAKE WORK. I worked for a Major (like a major in the army). He was french. Almost the whole building was billingual actually. A good 2/3rds at least. *All* the support staff were completely billingual. All of them. The project I worked on? Well the major wanted a button that he could click at the top of an MS Office applicatoin (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and he wanted it to automatically paste something in the header and footer because he was too lazy to do it. No I'm not kidding. The other project was an org chart project that never came to fruition despite it going on for several years. They wanted to print out this org chart with peoples pictures in the middle and put it outside the elevators on every floor. Other people said it was a bad idea becuase too many people come and go and it wouldn't work. I never know what happened with that but i'm sure it just died. It was seriously a joke. Even back then they had 15" LCD's screens and CD burners. Much more than most private companies had at the time. And it was GOV'T CULTURE to sit at peoples desks and talk for 30 min. It's just what people there did. You should hear all the converstatoins I would over hear on a daily basis. It's funny you mentioned it. And I will most certainly say that the great majority of people there did absolutely nothing. Nothing in the least. We had 2.5 hours of breaks a day. But working in the private sector, I can say it's much more rewarding and I have much more control over what goes on. Working at the gov't.. well.. it was a joke. Everyone always on vacation. All make work projects. It really was a joke. There was almost this 'low moral' there because I think people really knew deep down that the building was a lie. It was welfare. Nothing more. They knew they were working a lie. I worked a lie for 8 months and I appologize to all the tax payers here on the forum for contributing to the waste of our govt.
  21. Canada is a 3rd world immigrant dump. I would choose having Nuclear power any day.
  22. You're right. They're also Canadians!! hehe
  23. I used to work for the department of national defense in Ottawa. All my friends were students from around Canada. I first hand whitnessed the waste and un responsible spending that went on. How severe? I would say that 80% of the building was make work projects and didn't really neeed to be there. Heck.. 70% of people weren't at their desks at any given time. I later coined it 'white collar welfare'. The projects on worked on were totally useless make work projects. You guys have no idea. Although I think 1 out 4 here on the site are a civil servant or some form of it. And it's not that. It's also the companies in Ottawa who do NOTHING ELSE but work on Gov't contracts. Basically you can include them also in these stats becuase our tax dollars are paying for these companies too. Then there's also 'charity' organizations. For instance, I am listening to the CBC Radio here in Ontario and they featured this organization who recieves fudnign through citizinship and immigration Canada. While she is not a civil servant, her paycheck is funded through out tax dollars. This lady was talking about how they help immigrant high school students: "We teach them how to use a locker" "We show them around the school and tell them where things are" The lady was south asian, and the majority of the kids in that school who were immigrants were south asian. There were 50 kids present for her little introduction. She aslo said that she is threre through the whole year for the parents concerns, or if the kids have a problem in the 'community'. So it seems that a certain ethnic group that gets our funding to recieve special treatment in a public school. She is also a civil worker at the end of the day. I would actually put the number at around 1/3 are either directly working in the civil service, or are soley funded/employed by the gov't protectionism and the civil service (LCBO for example). Communism?
  24. Ok. So I'm researching and reading up on things as I usually do. I read about everything. Research everything. Read numbers and facts all the time becuase I like to get to the bottom of things and find out the truth. Anyhow, this I just can't beleive so I'm going to ask you guys if this is true. I was reading our employment numbers (as I don't like to do because i'm more interested in job creation numbers). Anyhow, I read: Class of worker Public/private sector employees (in thousands (meaning millions below)) Public 3,248.7 Private 10,936.1 Does this mean that 1 out of three employed people in Canada are workign as civil servants?? Isn't that 1/3 communism? http://www.statcan.ca/english/Subjects/Labour/LFS/lfs-en.htm "Canada's public servants earn an average salary far higher than those in the private sector, while the core public service workforce has swelled to its largest size in a decade, according to a new report. In 2002-2003, the average salary of workers in the core public service was $53,000, increasing to $73,400 when factoring in benefits." Again, if this is true, isn't this basically China style communism? A communist rule where I am pertty much working to fund 'insiders' pockets? Whare you your opinions on this?
  25. I think people are confusing 'our economy is good right now' with 'canada is on the right track'.
