No they haven't in this manner. He's talking fully segregated school boards with public funds. To teach them religion and culture. He used the word 'culture' in one of his interviews. I'm talking elementary, highschool, etc. Full school board and funding exactly the same as the Catholic School board. On par.

You know it's time that conservatives come together and discuss this problem. Harpers gov't seemed to do a stellar job before the Lebanon crisis. When he declared he supported Isreal and declined in the polls, he then changed his tune very qucikly and continued to stay low in the polls. This is before Dion was even in the picture. Harper began to act like a Liberal and pander for votes. He decided not to speak to the media anymore, and he decided to govern to the polls. His office took away the income trusts and broke a promise. He then did the stupidest thing to man and impose economy killing environmental regulations due to the media hype of the month (which has now died down if anyone has noticed). This was all done for the polls. Now he's at a Hindu temple pandering for votes and giving money to special interest groups. Our provincial opposition leader is promosing to fund religious schools with public funding if he's elected which is not in the best ineterest of the Canadian public but only his election campaign. Even the Liberals refuse to do it because it would create more segregation which has proven to be unhealthy in Canada. They have given 1.4B to natives in Quebec. They have further divided Canada and created ethnic segregation by declaring Quebec as a seperate nation. At this point, as a conservative, I feel that there's not a party that is reprenting my values. I feel that the conservative party is getting too corrupt and simply are existing to pander for votes. He should check the polls becuase it's NOT WORKING. They have done nothing about the immigration policy, they have done nothing about our real problems. If there are labor shortages in Alberta, then as a gov't he needs to FIX IT. Not give 1.4B to ethnic groups in nation within a nation. He needs to get out of the religious mosques and hindu temples and get his *ss in gear and fix our problems. Maybe THEN he will get some respect and the polls will go up for him. I almost can't believe this is the same person.

Hey, Well I never thought I'd say this, but I am officially supporting the Liberal party here in Ontario and will not vote for the Conservative party here in Ontario. Here's why (link): The big news here today was that our oposition leader John Tory promised to publicly fund religious based schools much like the seperate school board. Even the left wing radio host was against it. The minister of education from the Liberal party said all this does is support segregation (which I think we all agree on). Immagine Hindu school for hindu's, Sikh school for Sikhs, and of course, Muslim schools for Muslims. All punblically funded which would have a drastic change in our Canadian culture in the next 15 years. There are some things you shouldn't pander for votes on. But he knows who's voting in Ontario and all the minority special interest was supporting him during his announcment. He's very serious about it also and will give 400 million right away. The number he feels he can buy votes I guess. Some things are non negotiable to Canadians and I think this is one. Not one person encouraged this who called the station. Some were Liberals too. Talk about ethnic enclaves - this would take segregation to a new level here in Canada and the world. Also, John Tory is in favor of banning cel phones from cars. Not even hands free, a complete ban is what he wants. When the issue came up, Dalton McGuinty refused to ban cel phones from vehicles and sided on the personal liberties. McGuinty did the unpopular thing of re-openning nuclear power plants which took courage becasue the lobby faught so hard to close them down. And finally, McGuinty said something I wont forget "if you want to help the environment and reduce emissions, then go out and buy a brand new car which will reduce emissions". That was honest and very unpopular thing to say. When it came to the Christmas tree in the courthouse, he said that banning a Christmas tree was not a true sign of multiculturalism and it went too far. Very unpopular, and honest thing to say. When I think of John Tory wanting to go down that road of publically funding schools to further segregate Canadians, I'm sorry. I cannot support him and will not be voting for him. I'll make that official right now. McGuinty is no saint, but I think my choice is pretty clear to any Liberal or Conservative voter. He's done an 'ok' job and is heading down the right path for Ontario. I shudder to imagine John's wacky path that he wants to take the province.

I agree with what your saying. But it just depends on what a person considers a 'country'. Some my follow a mandate like 'multicultural' others may look past that and see what the common person is. Ok, if you HAD to label the country as a religion, anyone would most likely say 'Christian'... for the next 20 years or so when we officially become stone age.

So basically you have 1000 jobs opening a month? Gee workopolis doesn't show this! Either way, you'll need low paying laborers becuase those are the bulk of those jobs. Please don't make me prove something that i've proved before. Why not have an immigartion policy that allows work permits to allow workers to come and take these jobs and stay if they prove they have been productive in Canada? No Geoff. We need an immigration policy. Immigrants will then follow and fill those specific jobs. What we have are over 200,000 people coming to the GTA for family re-unification which is destroying our welfare state slowly but shurely. This is not beneificial to Canada. You are looking through your own rose colored glass. The accountants here are very low paid, and do mainly grunt work. Have you ever done accounting grunt work? It's brutal. Become a software developer and see how well you fair. Go to North Bay ontario and see how well you do. In the US, you can do well anywhere. Canada is not like this. Accountanting used to be a very well paid profession. Here in Toronto,accounting has been completely saturated due to immigration and the pay (and quality) of acconting has taken a nose dive. Come here to Toronto and just try to get an accounting job. Just try and see how far you get. Your jaw will drop when you see how low the pay is and the credentials that employers want. I agree with you, but we do not have a functioning immigration policy to fill these job shortages. I am PRO immigration policy. If there are jobs that cannot be filled and the employer can prove it, we should bring people in to fill those jobs. And I mean you land on Friday, begin work on Monday. Just how it's done in the US and any other country in the world. We have to stop people from just 'settling' here. Or 'living' here. That's silly and you know it. You are saying that alberta's getting over 12,000 jobs a month? Don't believe those news bytes, they've proven to be wrong each time.

I wouldnl't say that. Depends what you consider a 'country'. If you consider the country the people, and the majority are Christian, then you could say that it's a 'Christian' country. Which is what we are. You can nit pick the English and usage of terms, but it's viable to say that this is a 'chritian' country. Kind of like how Pakistan is a 'muslim' country.

I agree. You know Geoffery you shouldn't be trying to defend Harper. Admit it, he's had a lousy run since the Lebanon crisis happened and he defended Israel. He's been a lousy PM since and not standing up for conservative values. If there is a seperation between church and politics, our leaders should not be going into churches. I agree. Beside the fact that most of the 1st world should have a booming issue to from Poland to the US. Either way they've been saying this since I was a kid and still nothing has happened. Pay has decreased for all intensive purposes with less job opennings to the public per capita. I agree. But my idea had busses that would bring people to the airport and bypass any testing. Canada *desperatly* needs people from Nigerea and Islamibad. Let's just open our borders completely. Everyone was calling up the radio station trying to make this into a culture issue. And wow you should have seen the CBC. They just outright made it into a pro-chile, culture issue. They interviewed 2 people. One from the Chile team, and another 'Chillian-Canadian' that was there. Both saying how this is a 'black mark' on Canada infrton of the world. Like anyone cares about those trouble making punks. What happens when Canadians miss behave in Mexico as one call said. So they shouldn't even go there.

Actually if you think about it, Immigrants usually don't like getting in trouble with the law becuase htey can get deported and it hurts their immigration/refugee case. So if you think about it, the more immigrants that come, the less crime we will have. Those that have secured citizenship or have second gen kids.. that's another stroy. And didn't youth crime go UP in that same report?

Actually I got an idea. How about we have a NEW immigration policy. Another one that is specific to Canada that is genre breaking and unseen anywhere else in the world. Let's call it the S.I.P (Stonage Immigation Policy). This policy would allow anyone, I mean ANYONE to come to Canada. That goes for Congo, Samolia, Pakistan, Bangledesh, Iraq, Afganistan, ANYWHERE! And we can even fly some over. Have busses run through the streets of IstanBul or Islamibad and have them load up on them busses and we can take them to the airport and bring them to Canada. But first we need to go to Punjab India and make sure that all those Sikh's who wear a turban get first preference into Canada for their hard earned contribution to the Liberal Party of Canada. This will solve our crisis. MORE PEOPLE! Don't be dumb, let the world come here and we'll have no problems.. Right? I was being sarcastic. He will fit in with Canada because he has an issue with Isreal. But he wont fit in with Canada. He will join his ethnic community and not step outside it much. People like the Chinese becuase they are non violent and don't cuase trouble (I said chinese, not vietnamese hehe). But make no mistake, they are the most ghettoized immigrant that Canada imports. This is most likely due to differences in language I guess.. But you gotta ask the question; why do we allow this? Of all the jobs I ever worked, I've only a few times ever worked with a Chinese person ever. I wonder much of the time where they actually work or what they do to make ends meet. I certainly don't run into them much. I mean I should, they are Canada's largest immigrant group. They are the largest minority in Canada. But I have many more south asians in face and at work than Chinese by 5 fold hands down.

You have no idea what your talking about. Have you ever worked out here? The average income is much higher here than in Ontario, and full time employment far outpaces Ontario as well. So what up? I already cited stats proving that I am correct. You just ignored them. I also showed post after post of immigrants in Alberta claiming that Albertan's were racist because they simply couldn't get hired. Were there in 1999? They were hiring people over the phone and flying them out to work white collar jobs with stock options if you just claimed you knew how to work a computer. The same is *not* happenning in Alberta.

No it's not. Our grandparents had many children becuase 1 person can stay home and look after all the kids. Muslim women have a staggeringly high unemployment rate at over 50% and thus stay at home and have many kids. Me and my fiance however are both working people and must return to work after 1 year. We'll have no choice but to put our kids in daycare which wil cost us $40 a day. It's either that or we loose our house and car. We can only afford to this once or twice and that's it. NOW, if I was working a job and my house was worth half the price and such and we were wealthy here beside the uS, then yes I would love to have 4 kids or so and build a real family unit. But no. We don't have that luxury living here. Things are too expensive. I'm too busy sharing my wealth with people wandering out of pearson airport who are busy re-uniting with their family and filing new spsonsorship application while they give us the finger when we're not looking and call white girls whores.

You sound like a typical dreamy lib who doesn't understand the economy and the way the world works. Canada and our little dumb nanny state isn't going to solve the problem of our 'busy society'. YES. However, the above situation would still not be applicable in the US, France, etc. You just can't let anyone in on a work permit or the employers would make sure all our employees come from Jamaica or Haiti so they can pay them less. While we need work permits, you need a policy around that too. But yes. Work permits ARE what is needed to solve our problems. And yes, the demand for jobs, even in alberta, are LOW PAYING, part time jobs. In US, France, anywhere else, you would have to prove that you could not hire a Canadian to do the work. Frankly I'm shocked that companies in Halifax would stoop so low as to hire an underclass to work in fields when you guys have such a high unemployment rate. That is shameful. Don't tell me the kids wont work, they will, the jobs are just no longer available to them because 'others' are working there. This is not the case with illegal mexican workers becuase there are just so many jobs in the US that there are no shortages for young people. Halifax and the east coast does NOT have this problem and amongst the highest unemployment rates in North America. What's wrong with you people?? lol.. why would you take money OUT of your economy and give it to foreign nationals to send home when your unemployment is so high.. i mean gawd.. i never heard something so stupid!! Wow!! lol!!!! omg.. wow Anyhow, in France, you also have to additionally prove that you are paying the employee a HIGHER salary than the average Frenchman gets for the same position in order to ensure that the employer is not bringing in an underclass. It's not easy to come as a foreign worker. Regardless, if there are *real* shortages for work, these jobs will get filled where they are needed.
