  1. What are you talking about? A poll was released today where the majority of Canadians now do agree with me. Especially in Quebec. I know Jennie you would gladly trade me in for a Pakistani grandmother as a citizen. And that's part of what makes you Canadian. You are weak minded and brainwashed by our media and gov't. Hopefully the climate will change in Canada and we can take back our country and abolish the CBC hate machine. Then the types like you will change your tune around and realize that every store has 2 sides, and that we should discuss multicultralism openely and way the pros and cons. So far, it's not working and never has. Let's stop it before it reallly gets out of hand and it might if Tory gets his way.
  2. Introduction of Shariah law into our legal code. Slave women wearing burka's over their head while voting which is not even allowed in arab countries. And a completely seperate school system to cost billions unuallly in Ontario. You don't get it. You *think* you are including, but you are really only creating special rules and DIVIDING. We are equal when we all play by the same rules. I respect your turban, but our laws will not change for you and our public institutions will not accomidate you. If you don't like it, simply leave or do not come to Canada. Chances are, if you are taking these issues to court, you have some time on your hands should not have even gotten into Canada in the first place.
  3. Hold on there chief. No one is 'forcing' him to take off his turban. He can wear what he likes on his head. But when it comes to our PUBLIC STATE, there shall be no mixing of relgion and state services. If he chooses to come to a country where wearing that kind of headgear is out of the ordinary, then he needs to suffer the consequences: racial slurs from morons, not getting a job in a factory becuase he can't wear a hardhat (funny no one has challenged that one.. yeah it actually involves LABOR and WORK!), and unfortunately he wont be able to be a mounty because by choice he chooses to wear that headgear. Part of a secular society is to keep religion and sate appart. The mounties are paid an average of $80,000 a year I believe I consider them almost that of gov't workers in a CUPE union. They are ticket police in my eyes, nothing more. Go to the RCMP headquarters in Ottawa and you will view them as a political organization rather than some CIA type of service. http://www.rediff.com/news/1999/may/18us5.htm
  4. Wow that was a great post actually. Look what I'm reading from TimesofIndia: "There are deep rooted problems within the Sikh community here in Vancouver. They are always on the newspaper not for their actions as model citizens but for murder, sham marriages, drug related violence (over 100 indo-canadians were murdered in the streets of Vancouver in the last 10 years), illegal immigration, wife beating (more than 4 Punjabi women were found murdered allegdly by their husbands here in Vancouver in the last 6 months alone) etc. Because around 75% of Indians here in Vancouver are of Sikh origin they are giving a bad reputation to all Indians. This is opposed to what I have experienced while working in the U.S where Indians are the model citizens like other Asians (Chinese, Koreans etc). 26 Jul, 2007 l 2330 hrs IST Name:Raj Location:Vancouver " Why is he saying this about the US? Because they have a functioning immigration policy and people are only there to work and then leave. What we have in Canada are a bunch of Sikh's sitting around and collecting cheques all day. The women aren't working. And India's problems are coming here. I work and pay taxes and certainly don't support people entering Canada that are not here to work and into killing their wives because their only 'women' and not treated as humans. It's sickening. Canada has GOT to get an immigration policy now. You don't work, you don't come. No your gradmother can't come either. "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country"
  5. You can be a Sikh if you don't wear a turban. Only 50% of Sikhs even in India wear a turbin. If you wear a turbin, then you can't be a mountie and then don't come to Canada. How about that. The French kids are all doing fine now that they had to remove their turbins and hijabs.
  6. Exactly. If you goto a cast for an acting role requiring that you are pregnant, and you are not pregnant, then they can discriminate against you and you do not get the role. You just wont be able to do play the part. If you wear head gear, then there are simple things that you will not be able to do like go swimming, drive a motorcycle (the latest issue they are having) or wear a headset in a call center (i've seen that one first hand where an old friend of mine said 'why don't they give us bigger headests'). Tough luck, you don't like it, then DON'T COME HERE. Make no mistake, they would still come here, they just wouldn't wine and cry about it. They would say 'I can't wear a helmet so I can't get a motorcycles license'. If India accomodates that (which they do), then they can stay in India and ride their motorcycles around all day long. That's the thing. The kid from the student assosiation says that they have the right to change our laws and that what democracy and freedom is about, but then our local radio show host says "But wait a minute, aren't you trying to supress his freedoms of speach and censor him?" Isn't that a double standard? God we've got to overhaul in immigration. I'm willing to take the hit in my property value. I'll do anything. Lets just move to work permits now.
  7. Guyers you know very well that this discussion is within the context of modern immigration which is mostly comprised of stoneage cultures and the third world becuase people from western europe no longer choose to come to Canada. (although the still go to the US to work regularely).
  8. There are many sikh activist groups on Facebook with the underlying message of 'we're being treated unfair, give us x..' The Sikh's actually seem to have a lot of time on their hands. (and what's funny.. two of my best friends are sikh and I have ex gf's who are sikh... i used to have a lot of sikhs around me on a daily basis when I was in Ottawa. Since coming to Toronto i've lost touch with all my friends becuase i'm too busy working and such.).
  9. Wow you are so cool. You are multicultural now. After all, multiculturalism is tandoori chicken and spanish rice. Don't you find that statement to be... what's the proper word... I can't find the word.. How do you say.. like you think you are superior to immigrants to you bottle up their culture in a peice of food like they are just little people in Canada.. Self rightious? I dunno.. but you get the idea.
  10. That's exactly why there is technically no such thing as multi-cultralism. There are only groups of people who practice cultures from OTHER countries. These people segregate to their own and also tend to practice racsim and continually try to establish a power base through politics and public funding. That does not give Canada a culture. All that does is create segregation and racsism. And ultimately civil war or seperation. Canadians do not live in peace. That is a myth.
  11. Yes it will. We are sick of it. Sikh's have demanded that the CBC call them 'Sick' becuase that's how it's pronounced in *THEIR* language. The CBC said 'Ok, but you know people will think we are talking about sick people. Not Sikh (:seek). So now the Sikh's are trying to change the English language word that WE use, that we had first. How about the Sikh's learn to pronounce the 995,116 to our liking and then we can call if even. (man i thought of a great jokes when making this post.. but don't want Jennie contating the Human Rights Tax Hole on me).
  12. Well A *POLL* released today says that Canadians believe our countries is born from a catholic and protestant french/english culture which is present. You have trouble noticing it because you ARE Canadian. A European called up our talk radio station this morning and said that he noticed how we are right away. he told the Sikh student association rep that if he didn't want to join in and benefit Canada and work (yes he said work) then he said don't come here. The student says 'Are you saying that Sikh's haven't worked to build Canada?' and the host cut them off there. Here you have one immigrant from Poland saying he's Canadian, and one person from Canada saying he's a Sikh Indian. What a messed up new way of being we have created. It's a mess of words and falsehoods. It's not a real culture. And buddy, when I see elderly Santa-Clause looking 'Singh's' Canadians are prudish, aloof people who are overly polite yet don't mean it. Canadians generally have a 'lower moral' and don't do what 'feels good'. They want a nanny state and are self hating hypocrits. We don't think for ourselves, but look for a 'God Like' figure to figure things out for us. We're like a bunch of church going Catholics... We really are. Americans were of a different breed and did their own thing and started the greatest country in the world which I always fealt I really did belong. Part of what made the country great is the fact that they declared their country was a nation under God and stuck to it. They also created a functioning political system which is the reason why the country is the way it is today. If they took on a parlementary system, states would have already seperated by now. Even right wing members on the forum like Geoffery feel that we should take our queues from Sweden and Austria and other nanny states like that. That's totally Canadian. Me I'm American and I even like George Bush. Imagine that! You know, one of the great designs of the world is the US Political system. It's just so accountable and fair. Americans and Canadians were more similar at one time, and our political systems took their affect on us year after year. Look at the end result.
  13. http://www.canada.com/ottawacitizen/news/s...956&k=10154 77 per cent said immigrants should adapt to Quebec and Canadian society. "In Quebec," he said, "people are saying, 'We want to accommodate new Canadians and minorities, but hold on a minute.' What we are seeing in the province is a build up of accommodation after accommodation after accommodation. It's reached a tipping point in Quebec and our leaders outside Quebec should be watching because it is coming to their neighbourhood."
  14. That's smart of you. He seems like an amature... I mean.. He thinks he can spend until the cows come home and then cut taxes at the same, all the while trying to start a whole new school board and then continue to let 200,000 people a year into Ontario and pay for increasing inferstucture, medicare, and social services for these people. Dalton taxed us $900 a piece because he was most likely forced to when he realized how little money he had. When you don't tax when you need to, you end up like the city of Toronto. Of course, when you control an immigration policy, then none of these things become issues and we can live in wealth and peace.
  15. Harris campaigned to close down hospitals? When the immigration's flood gates are open and populations are out of control he actually campaigned to close down hospitals?
  16. No that is your neighbourhood. That is not Canada. You are talking about 80's style 'festival multiculturalism' which is healthy. I'm talking about complete segregation and racism.
  17. That's true. People are going to save their own behinds at the end of the day. Just to show you how un-seasoned he is as a politician, look at this video. It almost makes you cringe when you see how he doesn't really know what he's doing: I feel real bad for the Ontario PC party at this point... wow..
  18. Someone a long time ago (in the US) said that our system was bound to fail unless it was completely private. He was talking about servies. Only those that use pay. Highways, Schools, welfare insurance, medical insurance. Everything except a true common interest which was national defense. The public schools wouldn't survive unless all of us that didn't have kids paid for those that do have kids. I wonder what would happen if Canadians got 1/5th of all our taxes back each year for public education, about $10,000 a household lets say, I wonder how much school they could buy for that price seeing as there would be TONS of competition and drastically lower prices from todays private schools. Teachers would get paid what they are worth and would be accountable with no free summers. Unions would be destroyd. $5,000 x 20 kids is $100,000 a year. $50,000 goes to the teacher, $50,000 goes to overhead and profit and classes are until 6pm and weekend classes offered for free because of all the competition. This is perfectly viable. 20 kids in a class with better quality education, weekend classes, classes till 6pm.. that is something I would go for. Facitilites would be air conditioned and top notch. This would be so huge, so big as an industry it would rival our healthcare spending. It would really be that large. Maybe it's time the gov't get out of the education business. They clearly don't know how to operate it. Edit: my origional point was, after the schooling is over, or before your kids are in school, you no longer would have pay the $4000 a year.
  19. I dont' think Soleberg is the minister of immigration anymore. We need to jail any mexicans that come here illegally. You'd probably find MANY more illegal Chinese, Sikh, and Pakistani here than Mexicans.. just letting you know.
  20. That's funny, how can I be a white supremacist when I'm of a mixed race? I'm apposed to immigration because they are making us poor as a country. edit: Quality of living is like a pie. Everyone gets a slice. The more immigrants that come, the smaller all of our sclices get. There might be more pie for eveyrone, BUT IT'S THE SIZE YOUR SLICE THAT MATTERS BECAUSE IN THE END IT'S YOUR ONLY SLICE OF PIE AS A CANADIAN. Do you want EVERYONE in Canada to have an increasingly SMALLER SLICES? Or Do you want to have a nice BIG SLICE and maybe even bigger than the Americans some day! That's the most easiest way to describe the greater issue at hand. You can twist it any way you like to favor immigrants, the facts are, the Canadian slice has been shrinking since we let open our flood gates to the third world. Modern immigration needs to be controlled and regulated so letting in immigrants results in us getting a bigger slice of pie.
  21. You don't know enough about the whole system. In India, they basically enter their universities in at 17 years old. It's a status thing over there. It's an extension of highschool. Not a real formal education as MANY people point out at www.canadaimmigrants.com. People will tell you just how difficult our schooling is over here. India and China et al feel that the key to making their countries great is to learn math and have everyone have a paper cert of some sort. Cuba and all other poor coutries do the same thing. The quality of education does NOT equate to a countries wealth but that's another topic. Too much education is basically a bad thing. Anyhow, what i'm trying to say is that in the third world or a place like cuba, it's not an annitiative, basically everyone has a degree. Many Doctors getting paid minimum wage or working at hospitals for free just for status purposes. Somewhere along the way, Canada figured that these degrees are the same as ours for some stupid elitist reasons and Trudeau fealt that if they had a degree they could just come here and get a job off the bat. In a point in time, that was actually true to a small extent. My soon to be father in law came in 1968 which a teaching degree, moved to Quebec because 'Quebec needed teachers' and low and behold, he became a teacher with those foreign credentials. Eventually that proved to be a bad policy becuase TOO MANY teachers started to show up and then unions got involved because they began to take jobs away from Quebecers. So they made these people go through Canadian schooling. FEW HAD THE DRIVE AND WILL TO DO THIS so things changed and we had people using their teachers degree to come to Quebec and basically do something else or re-unite with family members. Also, the quality of teacher was extremely poor due to language and other issues. (Attend any Canadian university and you'll see why foreign teachers from the 3rd world are a bad idea. Yeah.. some of you guys know just what I'm talking about). Today, 30 years later, we STILL have people coming here, with foreign degrees, that our private or gov't sectors simply don't recognize (with good reason) and they are just wandering out of the airport to re-unite with friends and family. See Xul as an example. That is a real, tangible example. We all know very well that no private company is seriosly going to hire him as some market researcher etc. It's laughable to think so when he's not work place litterate. But in these days, XUL HIMSELF knows that he's not going to get hired. Now you have to question what he'll be doing here? Will he be goign to school? Most likely. -University/College/English courses - all subsidised by you the tax payer. What will his wife be doing? -Social Assistance support for settling immigrants plus allowance for his kids - all paid for exclusively by you tax payer. Medical care, new baby (of course), glasses, fee-bees etc. -Could be VERY expesive or not, either way he'll be using it in the first few years as most immigrants do (fact) and we'll be paying for it. Usage of roads and highways. -This is a usage of our infrastructure that he has never paid into and will be using without paying into it. We have to pay for him to use our roads (sounds funny, but it's factual). And Oh yes. Elementary Schooling. Schooling, classes, ESL for the kids. These are all services that we have to pay for: not Xul. The crux of the argument is, we do NOT have a job for Xul in Canada, yet we continue to let him in unchecked, and free to use our services. This policy will eventually ruin our social services beyond repair if this continues. And Xul is only a small margin that come under worker class, the majority or sponsored in FAMILY class. Elderly, Sikh's, Jamaicans, and other people who have no business being here. Letting Xul into Canada should not mean his mother coming here also but that's what always happens and this family sponsorship is KILLING our healthcare system beyond repair. Even if Xul worked labor jobs, he's STILL using more sevies then he's paying into.
  22. Ok I'm at work now. The secret that no one likes to mention when it comes to immigrants and why they are not on par with Canadians as far as equal job oppertunities is their English. It really is that simple. How bad is their English? Bad. Real bad. It's to the point of not being functionally litterate. It takes 10 years total to learn how to speak English and then begin to comprehend abstract thoughts which is required for most work situtations. And this is 10 years of speaking English and nothing but English. Modern immigrants typically do not speak English in their daily lives and have little desire to do so (proven). They choose not to impove their accent and feel that they are well understand and that peoplpe who say they can't understand them are 'doing it on purpose' (proven). They also feel that their accent is part of 'who they are' as a person (proven) and do very little to improve their language skills. Being illiteral in the workplace costs companies in Canada millions in efficiency (proven) and comapanies choose to hire people with excellent communitication skills (proven). Anecdotally, my last boss told me that the only reason I was hired is because the other 8 applicants simply had communication issues. They currently had a Chinese Canadian there who staff had a lot of trouble working with and they didn't want to repeat that mistake. I was his last choice becuase those competing against me obviously had higher paper qualifications. My boss was very happy he got me and I actually created a $20,000 revenue stream from Ford Canada doing program analasys. Ford pulled out of our company for other reasons, a bunch of people got laid off in all departments. An immigrant would not even understan what a marketing program is and have little worldly knowledge of such things or have little grasp on our economic, work based society because they are mostly from other parts of the third world (fact). Canadians do indeed hire immigrants. Many employers have been down that road and made the mistake, others don't learn. Others just see paper qualifications for the lowest cost and treat everyone as equal. Either way, there is a supply of labor in Canada. A supply of educated labor for white collar positions which creates competition and lowers wages. When an immigrant does get hired at a white collar job or gov't job, it is at the expense of a Canadian (fact). That is simply factual. When they get hired washing dishes in Alberta, it's because they are truly needed. But these immigrants don't want blue collar, low paying jobs (fact). They came here as world elites and schollars (in THEIR minds)(not a fact. Just my observation and anecdotal). See below and why companies choose to hire Canadians for some jobs over immigrants: 22% of adult Canadians have serious problems dealing with printed materials. About 45% of new Canadian jobs created in this decade will require at least 16 years of education. Canadians with the lowest level of literacy skills have an unemployment rate of 26% compared to 4% for Canadians with the highest literacy levels. Nearly 1.4 million Canadian children 15 years of age and younger are living in low-income homes. 34% of children from the lowest income families do not complete their high school education. 60% of Canadians on social assistance have not completed high school. 42% of Native Canadians do not graduate from high school, compared to 22% in the non-native population. Almost three-quarters of 626 Canadian companies surveyed feel that they have a significant problem with functional literacy in some part of their organization. Only 10% of Canadians see illiteracy as part of our economic problems. ANOTHER INTESTING POINT: In South Asia South Asia is home to one-fifth of the world's population and 40% of the world's absolute poor. Nearly 98% of the world's illiterate population lives in developing countries. Half of these people live in South Asia.
  23. I never said they were bums, I said that they have an unusually high unemployment rate and are bankrupting our social services.
  24. I am familiar with that report. I also said that it's a RECENT phenomina in the lat 10-15 years. You are quoting numbers from almost 20 years ago and are not valid now. You can spend a LOT of time researching this stuff and trying to draw conclusions. If you research well enough, you will find that immigrants are draining our social services over time. It's not in 1 year. The report you cited is a moot point. In the 1980's Canadians could still buy big homes and had a choice of job. Education was worth something back then. Canadians were also in charge of their political franchise and during this time it was not over taken by immigrant votes. See Richmon Hill Ontario as an example. edit: See this video as an example of what it was like back then. The video will bring back memories of 'ahhh.. yes that's how it was when we were canucks). Lets talk about 2000 and up and focus on the this time frame. And also, use your head - of course immigrants between 25-50 years old are attending far more school than Canadian borns. At 25 years old we are DONE school. When immigrants are attending school in Canada, *WE* are fotting the bill. See Arar as an example. You have done very, very little research. Go ahead and spending months researching this. Look at all the data and you'll see for yourself.
  25. Same thing imo.
