Are you ready for the "Big One!"
mikedavid00 replied to Fat Freddie's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Yes. All you have to do is take on a policy that most other countries use. If you want to come here, an employer must sponsor you in. For instance, if you want to live in Dubai, you must have a company sponsor you in. You will have a work permit, then be allowed to live there while you are working. You are never allowed to apply for citizenship. If you are fired or your permit expires, you get kicked out. Again, most EVERY COUNTRY has a policy like this. Most simply don't allow any immigration at all. You might be able to go to Japan to teach english or such, but that's it. Even goign to France is near impossible. Frances problem is refugees and family sponsorship policies which are too soft. Now Canada. Canada has a point system which says as long as you can pass a medical exam and English test, you can come and just 'live here' with no job prospects. You can practice the point exam online. Falsify your documents, and come here easily. Once here, you are entitled to all the services that us as Canadians have been paying into our whole lives for. Then you are free to sponsor in your family from back home and the cycle continues. Your ailing, elderly parents will be able to come here with no english test. I have a friend working on getting his parents over now. They are elderly, retired, and are of no benefit to Canada. I'm not trying to be mean, just truthful. (i know people get touchy over that statement). When his parents come, they will not contribute. They will use our healthcare system, then we'll all listen to the news where we'll hear about how poor the healthcare is getting. After a while his parents will soon be enetitled to social secrurity where tax payers will be paying to give them a monthly check as the country slowely and shurly starts to crumble. This situation happens day after day with people wandering out of pearson airport to re-unite with their family and just live here in Canada. No job prospects, no nothing. Just enetitlement and advantage of the easiest system in the world. And factually, this HAS gained the Liberals party status and has ensured that they are in power this long. The above story happens in maybe 3 countries in the world. Almost no country allows the above to happen becuase it's simply illogical and self-damaging. Our immigration system, and then political system desperately need to be overhauled to save our country. -

And then remember when all the media asked for a total number of all people living outside Canada and the gov't said there was no way to tell? Lol.. So they can tell us how much are in little Lebanon, but can't tell us how many in total are abroad? I feel we have the right to know they shouldn't cover up the number. I'm sure it would be a major eye opener. Anyone who has been out of Canada for 3 years holding duel citizenship should have their citizenship revoked and need to re-apply. Nah, they shouldn't be able to re-apply. We simply don't need them here. -

Lol.. You and Guyser went into areas that take a lot of time, cites, and effort to prove you guys wrong. This is why I have a condenser mic on order and will be hosting a podcast on the subject with a guest. You are applying 'simple logic' to everything but haven't taken time to research the nuts and bolts of the situation in Alberta. Neither has most of the media. -

Crime Rate Drops to Lowest Level

Yes I was listening to this on the way back from work. Do you suppose that maybe crime rates go down when the unemployment rate goes down? Just a thought. -

Nice try guyers: Visible minority population, by province and territory (2001 Census) (Newfoundland and Labrador, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick) However, I didn't know that the Easter provinces had a whopping 10% visible minority population in 2001. I would have put it around 3%-5% or so during that time. What are you talking about, it was mainly the ethnic voting blocs that kept the Liberals in party status. This is proven and factual. If they weren't here, there would be very few Liberals in the house right now. -

If they are not coming here with an employer who is sponsoring them in, then they aren't helping Canada at all. This is basic, basic, immigration policy that the rest of the world has except for Canada. -

But that is the very viewpoint that gets us in trouble. Terrorist countries make far, far, too large of the pool of our immigrants that we get. We do know that they vote Liberal and are in our Parlement right now and taking over ridings such as mine. We also know that they have a far higher than usual unemployment rate. They also have more children than any other religion (heard this from a Muslim in Canada who claimed it was tru, can't confirm officially though). We also know that we have found many terrorist related cells here in Canada. Besides that, that is all we know about these people coming here to Canada. I think they are here mostly because they vote for the Liberal Party of Canada and see to it that they are kept in power. "But Tarek Fatah, a Rae supporter and member of the Muslim Canadian Congress, said appeals to "tribalism" went well beyond the Muslim delegates. He said Kennedy, despite his claim to represent party renewal, was the candidate who benefited most from the support of Muslim, Sikh, Ukrainian and Tamil blocs, who moved en masse to Dion after the second ballot. "This is a step back," Fatah said in an interview, adding that Kennedy has "taken us back to the '30s and '40s" when Catholics and Protestants voted in blocs. "It's tainting the political system where policies aren't being discussed but race, ethnicity and religion (are pivotal)." Toronto MP Navdeep Bains, who is credited with moving 237 Sikh delegates from Kennedy to Dion, said Fatah's complaints are simply "sour grapes." -

It's not my video at all. I just found it on youtube while trying to look for wedding stuff. I take appreciate the Israelies defending themselves and excersing their laws. I'm suprised how thin skinned a lot of people on the forum are actually. The incident was really between kids. None the less, it was a real situation that happened. A raw situation. Something that you wont see on the mainstreem media becuase it's not really news. It really paints a picture of the daily lives of these Israelies and the struggles they go through just to live in peace. One day, maybe Israel will have peace. But this peace is only possible when Muslims in the area decide to stop the conflict. -

He did more than ignore it, he made a joke of it. And this happens in many of the other threads. Why don't you admit you have a softspot for Xul and then try to analyze your own psyche and figure out why you are holding that 'preference' or bias towards him. Maybe you'll discover that Canada's politicians and media has programmed you. It is Naive if you don't think he's laughing at us. He's already laughed at us and maybe you should read this thread again if you can't see it. If I was to move to France, I wouldn't care about the gov't and its services. I would care about fitting in with French people and that includes dressing like them, speaking like them, and taking on their ways including food and culture. I woulnd't have a screw you attitude and care less what people would think of me coming. But this is the attitude from the people who are coming here these days. They simply do not care to integrate and Xul will be joining his ethnic enclave like the best of them. And to no benefit will this be to Canada. He knows this, I know this, but the jokes on us. We desperatly need to overhaul our immigration system so people can no longer simply 'wander in' to Canada unless they are only here to work. This would greatly benefit our lives as Canadians and work shortages would be resolved. Of course, Xul doesn't want this kind of program. And the Liberal Party of Canada doesn't want this program either. So they both have somehting in common. It's this which is killing our democracy and country. The jokes on us, and Xul is laughing his way to Canada. The little girl was protecting her laws and country. She didn't give in. You've all given in and this thread proves it. -
I don't remember harper saying that he wanted to stop trade with China.. lol.. What on earth made you spin that.

See guys? This is the response Xul gives. He really doesn't care what we as Canadians think. He just cares about our policy to let him in and then his family. Why do you think I say what I do towards Xul? I know he doens't care neither does he take it personally. What's amazing is people here on the forum are more upset than Xul. This is the 'CBC' led Canadianism that you guys have. People suggesting I get kicked over having an opinion on our policy. At the end of the day, Xul proved my point and rubbed it in your face. He got a laugh out of it like I did. He almost gloats and grins that he's coming here with a 'tough luck' attititude and finds it all a joke. And then people here want me to be nice and welcoming to him. Maybe the lesson here should be on you guys? Maybe you should rethink your own position, be open minded, and see how this thread played out, then ask your own self why you decided to hate on my opinion, and feel that the red carpet should be rolled out for Xul. Question why you feel you need to treat him this way. Ask why your emotion ran so strong because I brought up someone who is not in Canada. The feeling was so strong to protect him. Yet other posters easily slander each other on a daily basis with no intervention. 'Canada has lots of hot girls and I want to come'. Don't you see, the joke is on all of you; me and Xul are the ones lauging actually. Think about it. -
You gotta love the US: Property Tax Exemptions There are several property tax exemptions that may be available for qualifying residential properties. Some of these are relief for disabled or elderly individuals on fixed incomes. Others are for incentives to construct or preserve residential homes. Details on available exemptions are linked at left. Residential New Construction Exemption Newly constructed single family, duplex, townhome, or condominium properties may be eligible for an exemption on part of their valuation for up to two taxable years following the taxable year that construction began. The taxable year is from February 1 to January 31. Remodeling Exemption Residential properties at least 25 years old are eligible for an exemption for up to five years of any value added due to certain remodeling projects. ---- This my friend, is called growth, prosperity, and fucntioning, healthy population and gov't.

You don't live in Western Canada do you? I meant to say white colar labor. Job grown in the west is mainly low paying and part time jobs. Immigrants many of the time do not like to work these jobs. We have the Labor, they are all sitting here in Ontario doing nothing. But since we don't have a functioning immigration policy, they never got to immigrate to where they are needed and with a job. And that last quote is ideological, not reality. I was at a bbq on the weekend. Here you would whitness 6 adults sitting around a living room and each taking turns talking about how much school lied to us and how low paying all the jobs are in Canada. We all set high standards, we went to school and did well. We got nothing for it becuase Canada has far too much labor. Our house prices are out of wack also becuase of immigration. Someone working their lives in Dubai then coming here and buying a small house while they live off gov't old age welfare (true story) does not help us in the least. All it does is drive up housing prices. I felt bad the couple had a baby and was struggling 30,000 in debt barely surviving. 2 Univerisy grads in a shoe box house worth 300k barely able to survive becuase they were victim of living in modern Canada and our INSANE immigration policy.

Yes him being here will indirectly have an effect on me. I've said before many times that you can't blame the immigrants for taking advantage of the easiest system in the world. It's actually our fault that he's coming here and I do believe that it's not to our benefit as a country. It sounds rude to say these things, but I'm not going to 'do the expected thing' and follow the CBC's lead of 'welcoming newcomers' just becuase 'that's how Canadians are and it's what we do'. I'm not going to welcome people here who I feel are goign to damage the country financially. It's a somewhat free country and I have a right to feel the way I do on this topic. Xul I beleive is older and knows the situation very well that I'm speaking of becuase he takes part in the other forum and I'm sure he says 'the guys right, but oh well, i'm coming anyhow' as he feels a sense of entitlement. I feel that you are trying to take away the sense of entitlement that I have to my country and split it down the middle with Xul. The only reason he actually posted on this bored was a discussion of the Chinese policital party from BC which gained his special ineterest. So while I can't do anyhting about him or the 500 people tommorow that will be laning at Pearson Airport tommorow, I can let him know as Canadian how I feel becuase I am taking the cost of settling his family here. At the end of the day though, he really doesn't care what I think so I won't go out of my way to welcom him or anyone else coming here either from Italy or Samolia. (females from Brazil between the ages of 18-24 are the only ones you'll see me welcoming with open arms). -
BS. New grads start at 40K. See http://salarywizard.monster.ca if you don't believe me. Okay, how about this fact. I started my career in the 80's at a salary of $18K. Within 2 years I was making over $30K and bought my first new house (Ottawa) for $70K - or just over 2x my salary. What does a high tech grad make after 2 years these days? $65K? Can you buy that same house for $140K? In fact, that same house costs about $270K now (I shoulda kept it and paid it off 10 years ago, but that's another story). Can you see how buying power is being eaten away and that salaries are not keeping up? That's why you need 2 incomes to get by today. YES THAT'S WHAT I KEEP TELLING PEOPLE! And I feel this is almost soley because of Immigratoin. We have too much labor, too much education, which drives down salaries, and directly effects my quality of life. And the grad makes around $37k after 2 years these days.

I never personally attacked him at all. I am fully allowed to say that I do not feel that he belongs in Canada. That is not a personal attack, but rather an opinion on our immigation policy. The left and CBC have gotten such a strong hold on you, it actually emotionally hurts you that I'm saying that a family in China at this point in time is of no benefit to Canada. This is not a cultural CBC fairytale of hope that you see him coming as. This is an economic issue and a policy issue to help better Canada. -

mikedavid00 replied to mikedavid00's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Way to welcome him to this forum. You've outdone yourself. But you see that's just it. I'm not being fair anymore. It is not Xul's right of passage in life to come to Canada. And everyone will say 'well Xul and his family should be able to share in what is Canada' blah blah. But I take an economic point of view. Him coming here and using our services is what is killing us. It's the reason our healthcare, infrastructure and schooling are messed up beyond repair. We are even running out of power and the net economic gain of for each person is *decreasing* year by year. I don't give a damn about his experience of Canada. Good he can visit if he wants, but to live here for good? We simply do not NEED HIM here! If we did, then I'd welcome him. If Xul isn't going to help me, or other Canadians, then I do not want him here. It's nothing personal against him, it's just that he's a real world tangeable example that we can all relate to. I'd like to hear his story of who he is and why he's coming. I'd like to hear the whole story, age, kids, wife. what his plans are. And when he tells his story, you will see that there is simply nothing for him here. Basically, the only person who benefits from Xul coming here is his family. Not me, not you. Just him... .. and the Liberal Party of Canada of course. (which is the real reason he's even allowed to come). -

That's what you don't understand, there are no civilized solutions when you are dealing with uncivilized people. The solution is very simple - you do not come to Canada unless an employer sponsors you. You may not sponsor in family members. If you are not working, you must leave immediately. You may not come as a student becuase our schools are now only for Canadians. There are also a list of countries of origin which you may not come. This includes Pakistan and Samolia. The problem is now solved. Remember that 9-11 happened because of America's weak student visa policy. Nothing else. This summer there is said to be terrorists trying to come into the US. Each day there are visitors coming out of the air port from Pakistan. The US allows this. I'm shocked and amazed that an old Pakistani coworker of mine had friends from Pakistan that got granted student visas in Texas. I was just amazed how they can let people from recognized terrorist states into the US. That is the REAL reason there will be another attack. Put all the other stuff aside. I'm sorry, I cannot feel sorry for the US if they get attacked again. I'm saying this now. Anyhow, Xul in this case would not be coming to Canada. I really don't know what he and his kids and family will be doing here beside using welfare state (schooling, roads, medical etc). We know he'll be doing that (as stats prove so don't argue me on that). I just don't see the point of him and his family coming here. It's simply not needed here in Canada. And he knows it too. He's not dumb, he reads the chinese immigration forums and knows what to expect when he comes. We're being taken advantage of as a country by people like Xul and the other 800,000 waiting to come here. Edit: I just wanted to add that these things 'aren't nice' and 'sound harsh' but you know what, I'm just not being nice and 'fair' anymore. Ideally, yes you must discuss things in order to reach a resolution and move ahead. But you can't discuss things with 2 year olds. You have to wait until they grow up, then you can discuss things. The stonage have a lot of growing up to do. They can only grow up in their own countries. Sadam would have fallen eventually by a civil backlash. It would have happened eventually. If not him then his sons. But we needed to let that happen naturally. Until then, yes, let's do business with them, but for God's sake - KEEP THEM OVER THERE. STOP BRINGING THEM HERE! -

Yeah you're right. When those plotting terrorists were caught and arrested here in Canada, the CBC was discussing giving money to Islamic groups so they can teach kids the difference between right and wrong. This one girl tried to get funding from our tax dollars so she can make comic books for kids in her bullsht after school program she was running. And she was like 'you see, this is what happens when they're left alone'. Lol.. everyone will play politics after we get attacks. I do think the innitial reaction will be to reform the immigration policy. That's something the UK is doing right now.
