That is false. Simply don't let them in the country. Problem solved. What he does in China is not our problem. Now Xul will arrive and also become Canada's problem (althrough I'm sure he wont kill anyone). He is well aware that there are no jobs for him (or us) here in Canada, so why does he insist on coming with his wife and kids? Ah yes... Enjoy your free lunch on my tab. I'm seriously tired of paying for you guys to come to Canada when you simply are not needed. Your kids will use our school and you our services and you have never contributed and probably will never do so. People are offended? Oh but Xul's one of us.. a Canadian on the forum so I guess I should be able to talk to him like anyone else from Canada.. Or is he.. somehow.. 'special' where I cannot say anything to the almight Canadian immigrant that stats show simply do not net contribute regardless of the class they arrived under. This is a new year and era of open discussion about immigration in Canada and the Liberal multicultural days of keeping our mouth shut have died after Dion got elected. No xul, you're not needed here. And our policy caused this person one of my fellow Canadians to get killed. And no, being a Canadian is not a peice of paper or document. It is to you, not to me.

Gee.. there's a suprise. Funny how you guys were late to find out. It was burried deep in the media but I found out days ago. For how many years have I sat here warning people of our immigrations system. What happened on the bus was ultimetly an immigration issue. Nothing more, nothing less. The above statement is 100% factual. Going into anything further is fantasmigorical idealistic for another thread about humanity. Canada is letting mentally ill, criminals into Canada who simply should not be here. He's here to work at walmart? Lets get real. He's really in Edmonton to make sure the Liberal party eventually gains power. Nothing more, nothing less. That's ultimatily why he's there - not to benefit Canadians. I should send the family an email and voice my concerns.

Do you trust the gov't is going to do this? Man.. after all these years you still trust the gov't is going to 'offset taxes'. That's the oldest scam in the book.. you should no better.

No. The gov't should have no involvement in the oil and gas business.

Young People Earn Less Than Parents

That's my point though. McDonalds, labour, part time, etc. And those mentioned regions are VERY low populations. -
I completely agree. I feel the gov't should step out of the business all together and have absolutely no licenses available amd completely butt out of this insustry entirely and we should eliminate this dept. What people put in their body is their choice, as long as it doesn't have the potential of effecting me. The gov't needs to get out of the food and drug industry.

Then independant private companies can put their stamp of approval and testing on products for consumption or people will be hesestant to eat it. (and the results more accurate and safe most likely). I say, keep the gov't OUT and let the private market work that out. Get rid of Ag-Can. These massive, Canada wide gov't departments are killing us... to fund people who work half days and surf the web making $70k a year while truly skilled people are making $35k and barely being able to live. (I had to friends at Ag Can at Dow's lake.. the offices and landscape is amazing. Ag Can is the best gov't dept. to work at IMO). Let's get rid of it all together.

Oh yes the unionized labor jobs from the oil sands. 20 an hour is like $40k a year. The teenarger did $69k last year and you naturally don't tell the truth of how he made it. There is no job for me in Alberta. There are low paying labor jobs that 'desperately' need to be filled. If there were truly shortages of jobs, the job postings wouldn't be so demanding with experience and credentials and there would be white collar job postings. And yeah, the job creation numbers would show these jobs. Instead, they are mostly in PART TIME work in the services industry. Big deal. If I could rewind 10 years, I would have moved to Calgary. But now when there are no real job oppertunities except for labourers, and 940 sq ft. homes going for $1,000,000 with NO real salaries to back that kind of mortgage, then it's certainly not a good time to be moving to Calgary. Alberta also lacks private sector small and medium enterprise.. come to Ontario and you will see the difference in that regard. People always try to get in when it's too late. Ontario has a very natural economy, but unfortunately immigration, liberal policies, and an over supply of 'people living here not contributing' have now ruined it due to the amount of high taxes. -
New Impaired Driving Punishments
mikedavid00 replied to Chuck U. Farlie's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
Keep in mind that these laws belong to us, not the gov't. Citizen tax payes should be able to vote on these propositions to our law. We should desice who we want on our roads or not. The roads belong to us. We pay for them, AND the salaries for our politicians. -

This is why it's being done. The more you pay insurance, the more the gov't makes. This again is why we are amongst the highest taxed country in the world. We need that money to support surgery's for people living in Lebanon or newly arriving from the third world who do not speak english and have no net benefit to Canada. The chance of about 50% of drivers driving at 9pm on a fri or sat night after dinner could have this alchohol level. Oh well, I guess the Mulsims don't have anything to worry about. Jesus drank wine. Thus i should take this to the human rights commision that i have a right to drink wine at dinner like our Prophets. -
It looks like the high immigrant, seat rich population is happy with the Liberals for giving them all the support and benefits they need to racially ghettoise together, get aunty-ji a surgery, and bring more people over. The tax paying BC'er in the private sector paying for these people is pulling his hair out and has lost political franchise in his own province. Also an unusally high amount of gov't jobs. BC is a communist state almost.

In Ontario hourly wage goes up
mikedavid00 replied to Topaz's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
...and are the bulk of the new jobs created in Canada (and Alberta) these past few years. Any white collar jobs have been gov't for the most part. Canada is becoming poorer and this pins right back to immigration IMO. -

mikedavid00 replied to jdobbin's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
So are you suggesting that this is typical? If an 18 year old (who's not even done school) just moves out west, they will make $69k in the private sector all by himself? Yeah thought so.. why not tell us the truth of why he made $69k.. -

I wonder why everyone is in denial and wants to idealise on these sorts of things. Let me make it simple. Too much education - This devalues the education itself: A degree = no job or low paying service related job (ie: bank teller from a business admin degree or diploma). Too much labor = This saturates wages so they are lower except the civil service jobs (amost 25% of all jobs in Canada receive their money from gov't funds. This is the primary reason we are over taxed and leaves the least amount of money for the citizen). Too many people moving in 'un natrually' - Homes get purched, real estate market sky rockets, now university grads cannot even afford to buy a CONDO's all by themselves. The cost of living simply skyrockets. This is supply and demand. Homes in Calgary going for $1,000,000 that are 900 sq. ft bungalos, with no jobs in the area that could even support that mortgage. This is due to an influx of people (NOT THE JOBS PAYING HIGH). But that is another topic. So the average young person is left with a 400 sq. foot condo, a low paying job, and maybe one day they can afford a car. And all of this simply due to open immigration - THAT IS WHY I DO NOT SUPPORT IT AND IT IS MY #1 ISSUE RIGHT NOW. Go back to 1980 and I'll show you my mom at that age in a Corvette, a house, and property investments - all from a single income. -

Under this context, it's just not something that you do in the first world. If you want to give our your cd's and media packages, you can courrier it over. They have media relation secretaries to handle these things. You certainly don't take elites and have special closed door meatings for a select few media elites. That is just 1 more form of corruption. Do the noble thing, step up on the podium, make a statement, and answer questions. I mean the story was dying down.. i can't understand why they did this for. Now we have more headlines and someone running down the stairs with a suitcase filled with explosives.. We really are becoming Canastan.. -

Again I sadly have to agree. They must be half retarted to do some of the things they have been doing. The CBC has hardcore turned on the Conservatives today after they got refused.. they even played the clip on the radio of the reporter getting rejected.. you should hear the newsbyte on the radio. And being the unprofessional organization they are, the CBC did nothing but smear them today and now have switched it to 'the Conservatives are stealing from tax payers' sort of thing. The fact that they called select reporters, behind closed doors, and excludes the left leaning, state run, liberal funded CBC shows even further corruption. Again, what they do in the third world. -

His satement was factual. Surveys show that majorityof immigrants simply do not identify themselves as Canadian. To a point even that their own children born here do not. Any high immigrant area votes Liberal. That's just factual. And was about the ONLY ridings that voted Liberal last election. So yes, that statement is certainly factual. -

No i'm very serious.. I feel alone in the fact that I feel this is extremely serious and I feel something should be done here. Man this is a real, real bad sign that we're doing these things in our country. Maybe it's just time to have an election and then let all the heads role and then reform our political system. -

Oh lord.. Wow.. i'm almost about to say this is a CRISIS situation in Canada. This is bigger than adscam, bigger then petty political shanagans.. this is definately, very, very serious and very very telling of the country we're in right now.. These are very negative, very serious developments for our country. I can't do anything but watch. -

I still find this very troubling. Very bothersome that such a major political party in the first world would do this. Harper obviously approved it and those involved should step down. -

And that's why the mainstreme public don't really know or care what's going on. Even the media (who aren't very politically savvy by nature) haven't blow up this story. However, why is it that already there are 15 pages of posts and politically savvy people have given great attention to this issue. Why is this issue deemed as 'very serious' to many people including a conservative like myself? It's like the animals detecting the storm before it arrives. Those most sensative see the red flags ahead of time. Look at what happened: A federal party attempts to bend laws in ill contempt to win an election. The opposition appointed election group then orders a police raid and leaks info to the media in order to smear the image of the elected party. Judges, the highest police force, and elite beurocrats are involved. How is the above tale supposed to sit well with anyone. This is a first for our country and there has been a progression towards this for many years in Canada. Our country is a 'farce'. Now it's a getting a bit more serious and people are seeing red flags from very far away.
