  1. Is anyone still standing for what is right, in America? It's now that it's being determined. Would be difficult, very to explain that silence.
  2. Congress Republicans, all but three are a spineless miserable bunch who will fold to anything. But this time around, things won't fix themselves somehow and their names are going into the history books for generations to study, detest and make reports about - just like those who enabled fascists in Italy and Germany. A final and accomplished decay of morality and integrity. Disgusting.
  3. Is anyone left standing with a voice, in the United States of Liberty, formerly?
  4. What the world can note is that the leader of the U.S., formerly seen as the leader of the free world, and his pet mob is using exact same "arguments" as his admired idols Vlad and Xi. No way that fact cannot escape the attention of the sane world.
  5. Brainless will only defend the madness, that's a given. Anyone else left, with a voice, in the whole of America? That's what we - the world, will get to see, now.
  6. A budding dictator is testing the grounds. Who will stay mum, look the other way and follow the "process" and who will fold outright. No dumb naive here. Everyone knew everything.
  7. What does it mean, America? The meaning, of the silence? You don't need, have no respect and value for the allies? Democrats, how does it feel on that faraway remote trail? Still no connection, to the reality? No honor, no honesty and no integrity left, to scramble? If so, it'll come back much quicker than you want to believe. These tests can failed only to bad, painful and terrible discoveries.
  8. Why is everyone so smug about it, in the U.S.? You don't value and don't need allies anymore? This is a leader of an allied nation, a founding member of the alliance that was offended by the bully? The Republicans may be gone but where are the Democrats? More important business? Nothing much to worry about? It's in the times like these the true value of all claims, causes and individuals is exposed. Let's see it, live.
  9. Republicans are now in a shameful position. It's not far at all from here to that of complete and final degradation of any remaining integrity. There will be nothing left to look at, just disgusting moral goo and slime. Just like the last time. All the examples and knowledge are before our eyes. No ignorance and no innocence, here.
  10. We need to distinguish between different issues. Culture wars, cancel culture, extreme promotions of diversity infringing on the space of general public even as we discussed even recently are the product of certain vocal groups in the society. One cannot prevent that, anymore that groups of uneducated populace embracing MAGA sermons. Was it an official policy of all progressively oriented part of the society? Clearly not. Were they adopted as official policies. No. So it's wrong to position that as a failure of all and anything progressive. This is the difference. Yes a more broad and objective discussion of these issues should have happened and was happening in some venues. But what we see now is very obviously, an authoritarian cult-like mindset where dissent isn't even allowed. Over a thousand of violent offenders released in a clear insult to the rule of law: what could be the point of it, if the offenders then released brazenly? Not a single high-level Republican condemned it publicly to my knowledge. The madman openly threatens long-standing allies even with military assault. Zero reaction. This is both despicable, disgusting in fact, and all the difference one can take in. Obviously. No way of arguing with the reality. And by way this how a society folds down to fascism. This is exactly how it happened the last time. There's nothing else needed for it to advance, they will fold to every lie and each overstep explaining and powdering it, in a complete and disgraceful violation of all principles and duties. Disgusting, slimy bunch and mind you it was a free, voluntary choice: no one even made them do it.
  11. I not only did think that but said so on many more than a single occasion. I do not consider myself an expert in the U.S. politics; much looked broken in it for a long time, such as the free season for big dough. But yes, staying with sanity always helps regardless of the stripe and ideology. Still it doesn't explain, nor condone/justify embracing plain and obvious insanity. I would base my opinion on facts rather than hearsay and a bucket of anecdotes some unverified. How real was the risk of being prosecuted for failing to embrace the diversity? I'm not convinced it was widespread maybe because I never watched Fox, youtube and such. Some of those problems were certainly real and it's our responsibility as sane and responsible citizens to see and call out every such incident, no exceptions. And one more time, "stratospheric" in propaganda pumped by big dough with most obvious fiscal interests does not yet amount, automatically and by default to the reality. Where overreach happened, factually it had to have been checked, questioned and if necessary stopped by the citizens. Inclusion, diversity, affirmative action programs should have been broadly discussed in the society - that indeed may have dampened if not prevented the knew-jerk reaction. These are very real shortcomings down to outright failures. Still they don't justify giving in to the clear insanity.
  12. Except they aren't shared. With who, zillionaires who run a few media outlets each to convince you that astronomical cost medications is exactly what you need because it's some twisted form of "liberty" that they then fail to prove or explain? No, it's one or the other. Mutually exclusive interests. No, they don't coexist. Have to choose one. But many, myself included disputed it. So your argument's failing, factually: it's possible to stay on the side of the objective reality see things for what they are wherever they are coming from, call them and stop them if necessary. Rather than branding them with a general label and then "explaining" one wrong with another, Putin style. You're piling a lot in one bucket for one response. We discussed many of those overreaches when they were proven real and factual. And yes some of them are real, the drive of some progressives in the high chair to impose their (self-appointed) goodness on the society is misconceived and need to be resisted. Absolutely we recognized and resisted it. But at the cost of throwing out the baby, the democracy, rule of law, reliable and trusted international partners right at this time in the free world's history? Just not a sane proposition in any universe. Not a chance. One has to let go of sanity or be dumb from the outset to argue something like that. Why wouldn't you agree?
  13. Two centuries of democracy; and whatever the individual age, all lost. Gone, disappeared from the reality. Not a one, slightest of clues.
  14. The brainless cult culture of which the dumb America is infamous for in the entire world finally made it to the public politics. Any one of those in the long, boring to a jawwrench history will describe it fully and completely.
  15. That does it. I can no longer understand the Republicans. For decades talking about NATO strengthening the alliance of democracies, then one morning putting on their suit and turning on a dime to applaud direct threats to one of the closest allies? No, there's nothing normal here it's past the line, way past it and dangerously past it. Republicans if they don't and couldn't control and stop this insanity will only prove that they are no longer a party of democracy but fully gave in to and embraced an insane authoritarian cult of the worst kind in American history. Between these extremes, there's no middle ground.
  16. Denmark in ‘crisis mode’ after ‘horrendous’ phone call from Trump demanding to buy Greenland 24 January, 2025 Denmark is in “crisis mode” after Donald Trump made a direct play for Greenland in a “horrendous” phone call with the country’s prime minister. The US president spoke to Mette Frederiksen, the Danish premier, for 45 minutes last week and made clear he wanted to place Greenland under American control. Ms Frederiksen told him in their call last week that despite his “big interest”, Greenland was not for sale, the Financial Times reported. Mr Trump then became “aggressive”, according to the newspaper, and threatened to impose tariffs on Denmark unless Greenland was sold to the US. This is an insanity plain and clear as it is and they just shrug it off like nothing much happening. What will they not accept? The decay is complete. The Republicans went to a third world authoritarian cult, abandoning the rule of law and long standing principles in international politics. Denmark is a founding member of NATO. Sane America should not ignore these manifestations of insanity and budding lawlessness. It may only be testing the ground, and most of the Republicans are showing full readiness to fold and applaud.
  17. Two different models of democracy are right before our eyes. Big buck, the number of zeroes rules or the people think, discuss and decide. It's difficult to find an alternative without cutting into the essence. This project makes sense and I think the time is right not only to talk about it but to make real, practical steps. Your medications should cost a fortune yes of course it makes all the sense for you, we have the right to pump lies about smoking, guns, crazy conspiracies with no accountability. Or great transit, high speed trains, low cost food and medications, low cost or no cost education, great diversity, unified rules, thriving business and culture - a staple people expect it across the continent. This is the realities they can set side by side and examined. Eyes and brains, only two things.
  18. Most sane people: maybe a felon convicted via a fair due process should not be nominated the position of highest responsibility in the country? Republicans (many): no no, we love, hug and kiss in the a$$ our cute little Dodgie and you're so wrong to use it, what's the word on him! Well, this is how it is, the reality of it and it's not a grain less serious: for many Americans, the rule of law is not needed. Now echoed by a main political party. Just drop it, let it go. And this is what makes it the third world. No funny games in processes and sessions will hide the essence of it. Without the rule of law, equal and universal, can democracy exist? Yes or no? Forget your cute nomination games - history won't care a dime about little games and tricks.
  19. Congress Republicans are going through nominations in pretend "business as usual" just another president deserving to have his nominations nodded nothing unusual. But there's nothing usual about this president, 34-times convicted felon, rapist, and indicted conspirator. This is the first time in history that America is going through this process in the third world. And while there were many contributors over some years, one party has taken it over the line. This fact tells us clearly: they will nod and and they will fold. To every stupidity, sure. Dishonesty and indecency, very likely? Crime? Who knows, who can tell that with confidence? And that is what the third world is. In America. Arrived. Every name and little lying word by little lying tongues is being written into the history. Little lies mean nothing to it.
  20. Ronnie and Georgie did a great job of it though. C'mon let's all go over in a happy reunion what's there to be ashamed of?
  21. Bullsh*t generalities with little or no meaning. But the objective reality exists. Squeezing fogs and fantasies out of sick/lying brains does not make objective facts. Lying words don't make objective facts even with endless repetition. The felon was convicted on 34 counts by a jury of citizens. Fact. Twice impeached in Congress. Fact. Indicted by a grand jury on the charges of conspiracy. All facts. Called to take control of Greenland and Panama canal not ruling out use of force? Fact. See, it's only because you decided to let go of your sanity, to forsake the difference between the objective reality and the imaginations, fogs, fantasies, and plainly, lies that problem now exists for you. You created it for yourself as so many before. But nothing is relative between the reality and lies. And nothing new you will dig out here. A liar can rename a gulf or mountain, signed and done. Can he with his twisty words build a high speed train that a grandma could take to see her daughter 300 miles away? Can he make it so she would walk into a pharmacy and buy her medications when she left her prescription home because they are so cheap it wouldn't break her old age pension? That's where the difference is, the real life, the reality. See it, the difference? Try again? You can still save it, your brain you know. Unless you decide to let it go, done.
  22. People who do not understand in principle and profoundly what the rule of law is intend to decide the future of America. The rule of law is de facto abandoned. So it cannot be the same America of the founding fathers. The first American Constitution, 1789 - 2025. Nothing is guaranteed. The future is wide open.
  23. These people don't understand what rule of law is, why it is there. They think that they should be able to dismiss any decision that they don't like based on some words, a whim. I like it, it's the law. I don't like it, get it done with. This fraction was always here. And now through incessant propaganda, dumbing down and erasure of the boundary between the reality and desire by big money it feels emboldened and uplifted. This is how bad it is. There are some great words in the dusting book but even if they could make the syllables they just couldn't get it, the meaning.
