In the larger civilian ranks there are the associated disciplinary issues with a civilian reserve army and the sexual harassment is mostly between soldiers of the same rank. If a private in the reserve challenges an officer over her gender, he will wish he had not. Officers interestingly in the civilian army are called by their first name because as quick as you are called up, you may be a civilian again with that officer being your employee, etc. Its not to be confused with the professional units. That said, female officers handle themselves. They can kick anyone's ass. Most of the sexual harassment is not rape its inappropriate touching or verbal remarks o r adolescent crap between close aged young soldiers in their teens and early twenties.. However its destructive to the chain of command just as it is in any armed forces and its serious and there have been some very serious criminal acts of sexual assault.
