  1. No problem here - give them kids enough information to start experimenting earlier - google 10 year old kids having sex
  2. inflation? what inflation there is a report just out from the Royal Bank - the people are very optimistic about this economy it is strange how good news seem to coincide with changes the government makes such as merging of taxes
  3. Men and women cheat on their partners - a lot. And it is OK. They didn't die. Politicians provide juicy news but it is a reflection of what most people/society are doing. It is troubling if politicians lie e.g. they say that they are NOT gay, they did not sleep with that woman etc. and eventually they recant - this is troubling. In order words cheating on spouses, whoring around is OK - just don't lie about it.
  4. There is a lot of resentment regarding the burka. You can't just ban the Burka, it has a history of subservience. The history of the burka has evolved from its usefulness to shed the sands of the dessert, to stop men from looking or fantasizing about women to religion. I feel somehow that these women are trying to gain independence by putting on their burka. It’s one way to rebel, and very similar to wayward teens of today who make some not so clever choices and wants some independence – these two groups have similar behaviour pattern. Later the teens gain experience and are more education and their brain are more develop, see them turn around their lives & and they have much regrets. Some of them are rebellious for a long time and think the world is against them. Certain custom we have to accept before you can refine or inquire of change. A woman being passive in the Muslim culture cannot make a change, or voice their distress. A Muslim woman needs “grow up” and to be educated. And I don’t mean educated where words are taken literally out of a holy book and apply it to present day but there are over .7 billion people who do just that. However, I believe that there is hope to educate Muslim women of the choices they can make and let them decide. Change will happen. The question I have is what makes our clothing standard above all that we are ready judge others? I mean if burka is not about religion then it is about clothing.
  5. What if they were born in Canada? do they go to Ottawa as their home. we have some laws that protect rights to practice religion.
  6. I was told not to watch it - i am a softie
  7. I didn't have lots of bad news, the few times I was disappointed I shared it with my husband - he handles news very well and I go shopping. One time I was disappointed I mentioned it to my doctor and he was very interested in what I had to say so now I have another victim to listen but I still go shopping.
  8. she hurt my musical ear ....Stevie Nicks looked uncomfortable
  9. I find Greg and Charles are patient and fair as moderators. I know so, I am the oldest member around:)
  10. December 2009 Comcast did'nt lose I assure you - their stock shot up. And GE well they are far too big that 11% return in non-core business - a good haul.
  11. What I gathered from all this NBC commotion is that there is lots of money to be had - win or lose.
  12. Look Mr Tiger, you really want all you problems to go away quickly - GET A DIVORCE. Marriages is a thing of the past. What I mean is that marriages should not make a man bend his head, fall to his knees and breed more misery. No sooner we say we admit it is folly to be wise on the institute of marriage business; that we are arming a man with marriage entitlements: a secret impulse of what is a good man, what is good and great, that we find a quality higher than all possibles, that even if a man is unschooled, there is a right that feels and actions that do not fall behind, that these actions are clean and if we were to measure it would be deemed excellent; and that now we make a proud and healthy claim of this discovery of good e.g. a good husband. Look there are high advantages set down for marriage as disadvantages that takes a toil on the wariness of men and consume their private moments. Other men recite the same avowal and disclose success at last, ahem, a reason they lose much of their hair . So Tiger, GET A DIVORCE. Forgive the failure you know, get un-married and entertain all the women of the world, hookers, bar-girls, madams, hook ups, porn stars, postitutes, have orgies, drink yourself silly at the gentlemen clubs - you will be the true product of the Western Society. The things longed for is arrived, and will shine on you since you can name the price..."Hey, it's Tiger, can you please take..." Nothing is more worthy of being just vulgar, no suspicious behaviour to worry about, no flowers to bloom, no confusion, the right insanity of gloom with doses of folly, no societal pressures, more goofing about, f-buddies, and jokes. Indulge yourself in pop culture where one gives a damm, where more freedom exists to promote pop culture as your permanent guest. What you do is what is expected. All eyes are gazing now. Women who cum and go. Gain respect and become the hunk of the male species. You will be idolised, forget sports – you have done that bit, be a macho man. No pressure now. No regrets. See an action until it is done and still No worries No media No more repairing relations No more damage control No more taking breaks from being a healthy athlete No more repair to character No more gossip It is only romantic fools who can detect and hold on to sentiments that a flower blooms and perhaps has open the eyes and I can see a face, that I might not soil my white hand with a touch because I am allowed to smell a flower, but that I recognise a bloom now, I will not forget and in the future I can certainly recognise its face. You can learn from your own mistakes or from others but really you have to have some standards, values, and character that you can own otherwise you are just part of this insane decaying society. I mean what the heck is: - F-buddies - Friends with benefits - Booty calls - Easy sleeping with bar chicks et al
  13. That's it, that's it. I declare men are hopelessly shameless. They up to no good. I wonder who and where are the good men?
  14. Novels I am reading Grisham's The Associate - I put it down a few times - but still going going We are packing away my kid's books and picked up the first read of Lord of the Rings from the set. I recalled the dentist mentioned it is a good read - I can say I actually like it a lot, looking forward to read the lot over the holidays Biography Someone handed me Kitty Kelly's Nancy Regan Unauthorized biography at the airport a few days ago. I read a few chapters - it is laughable. I thought what irresponsible writing. I wasn't sure what to expect, obviously not a lot - it is unauthorized after all. Nietzsche spurs these various argument about god, god is dead, values, morals with my kid - they are studying his works - so I have to read this semester until I understand the other person viewpoint, and I can nod yes
  15. According to Peggy Vaughan 60 percent of men will cheat (from 1989 studies). 20 years later to present day 2009 I am surprise if this number did not increase, c'mon with the technology age, men access to women is simply accessing phone, text messaging, instant messaging, email, websites Nothing new about men and their cheating ways - technology will be their downfall - keep those blackberry safe folks if you are cheating...and funnily you are not a cheater until you get caught But, there is something about being an honest person. You wish to play the field stay single, no one gets hurt and everyone know the rules. Cheats deserve no respect.
  16. The Humane society is best friends to animals, yet a whole whack of folks are being call out...Top officials at the Toronto Humane Society and its board of directors have been charged in an ongoing investigation into animal cruelty I mean I was fliping though the TV when I heard that one Kitchner dog was drag by a car (unknowingly?) - and appeal to the public brought in over $15,000 while the a child bitten by a dog that same day only got $1,000 from the public So I wanted to ask whether animals are right there at the top with humans. Obviously, we love our animals, fishes, snakes, elephants, goats, teddy bear, lipstick, shoes etc. We have not gone a tad too far have we with our love?
  17. York is my alma mater and my favorite university, I am still a student there. While I don't speak for the school, I do not believe there is any legal requirement that demand observances for Nov. 11. Most schools organize activities to honor Remembrance for a whole week sometimes. You can choose to get involve. Remembrance Day ceremony set for Wednesday at flagpole York University This year, the Remembrance Day ceremony will be held Wednesday, Nov. 11, at 10:45am. It will be an opportunity to honour and remember all members of the Canadian Forces who serve and have served in times of war, military conflict and peace. Opportunity seize, you can choose to get involve.
  18. I can understand if she wears the headscarf to the Mosque - she is being respectful of the religion However if worn for fashion, to fit in, it makes it difficult to speak of freedom of West particularly to the Arab women who wish to be free (e.g. symbolic of removal of hijab). The hijab confers to the authority of the region, everyone is kept in check..check, puts women in their rightful corner. A westerner wearing a hijab carries the less desirable speak for the Middle East woman. What I mean is that one of the most important women of the world wearing the hijab would only persuade others to follow suite because it is now ok but is it?
  19. well do just nothing and you just might be rewarded. what a farce! I am so disappointed. If I am doing my thesis now based on some likely possibility that my models make a difference in the future can I have one of those for economics. I feel like people who really work hard have nothing to strive for
  20. I was away in the bushes over the weekend so I am just gathering news - I mean Obama wins a Nobel prize is shocking and surprising of all the news. Please what did he do to be awarded, I didn't get it - must be that what is creative has changed
  21. It makes much business sense and dollars to promote thin models e.g. size 0 especially if an average Canadian population is say size 10-12. I say this because the beauty model presents a standard where a whole lot of women are presented with a whole lot of body weight issues and a good chuck of the female population feel bad of the way they look. Look, now if I take a size 10 model - every person becomes a standard and there is no marketplace to trade beauty, a lot of men will become ruined and out of business. Men and their ruined lives can't be promoted. What I mean is the size 10 female becomes a parallel of men defining beauty for men: A standard pot belly chap, no lip stick, no nylons, no high heels, sagging with over-sized fitted Walmart t-shirt, hairy one walks about with no body issues There is no market for beauty for the average person.
  22. It might have sounded better had I said I approve of their vanity and selfishness. I can see now how using vanity as survival tools work to metaphorically speaking .. jump off the bridge A nicer ready-made explanation for irresponsible behaviour.
  23. 120 homes damaged A severe weather system left a wide trail of destruction yesterday, reportedly killing one person and damaging trees and homes as witnesses reported tornadoes from the Owen Sound area to Vaughan and Pickering. http://network.nationalpost.com/np/blogs/t...es-damaged.aspx
  24. What I get is that youths are: - selfish - narcissistic - violent And they have nothing except what their parents offer to them.
