Look at it this way - we see people getting richer, we see poverty, we see a lot of poor miserable people - but we live in a capitalistic society that allows us exploit resources and become greedy. You want me to change my views that greed does not exist? That some people not going to be demise in order for others to move ahead, in order for others to become rich. Some win others have to lose, well not completely - they just get the short end of the stick. People have inherently been greedy, and have greedy ways, oh don't worry not you, but everyone else is greedy. Give me an example of a country that was not greedy, Russia perhaps, US, UK, Spain, France, Iraq, how about Canada? but .... How does a person become richer? or the topic of conversation the rich getting richer. Well people are individualistic and looking out for themselves and so they set off to pursue their interest to benefit themselves. What I can say to you is thatthere is NO other systems available to look at where you can get rid of poverty, or lets call it by its name "poor people". Hoever, poor people in Canada and the US are much better off because they are exploited where capitalism flourishes, business and trading are advancing, and the order of things is for rich who is always greedy, getting richer. In this case, you would be surprised to note that the poor people have just escaped being desperately poor albeit visions of poor famished people. In an extreme senario send all the rich folks to another planet for one week, see what they accomplish in their new environments - and see what really happens to poor people left behind.

What? this sudden outpouring of righteousness is so hypocritical. The poor is depleting the system more. Here is my simple scenario, let me know who you would wish to support - on the backs of the middleclass: - an executive who lay a foundation, toiled, sweat, risk much but also has the smarts to paved the way to the top, as the article points out is now deemed rich. - the poor who has plenty of opportunities not to become homeless, weighing on luck, think the rich owe them something for the injustices of being poor, sit around the corner with outstretched arm accessing your hard earn dollars that you keep giving. Imagine an entire poor family putting both arms out for your alms.

I don't get it, the rich will have to take from someone in order to get rich and the middleclass hardworking people striving to get to the top seem like the only exploit.

What the heck? WikiLeaks claims next target is "big U.S. bank" - Calgary Herald Here is some optimism from Forbes Wikileaks Can’t Wipe Out A Major Bank "Is there anything that Wikileaks could reveal that would actually bring down a major U.S. bank? Probably not." Are we in for another government bailout?

My kid recommends 1000 IU per day - she also religiously follows her own directions. The chant is Cod Liver Oil plus some sunshine. I recall getting vitamins for grandma - now it seems everyone is on the bandwagon when it comes to those vitamins.

at one time we would accept Newton's law on gravity - the apple fell from a tree - with the explaination of a gravitational pull is great a reason the apple stayed on the ground when a person comes along a adds that the apple bounces on the earth and the earth bounces back (exaggerated) - it changes the thinking and the theories -
I picked up my life as an experiment at the airport - a funny airport read, entertaining - I read a few stories and now my kid stole it from me

I can only say I have never experience these long wait times. In the employment section I can admit to meeting up the characters, one lady and her sister showed up with foreign masters degree with all honours in chemistry and a major pharmaceutical company wanted to give them a break. Within a few hours they were warned about bogus representation, fired and sent back to my office. One of the girls could not identify a Bunsen burner from the start ...One fellow appeared from Pakistan with only a 3 year university program and operating as a doctor from Pakistan and wanted to know why it is so difficult to become a doctor here...I just don't want to be next to these folks when they are in a action.

73% of New Canadians fear for their children lives around water
RB replied to RB's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Well, I just fell in love with badminton but I am not going to die even if I resent you didn't support my wish to stay fit and pay up.. The majority of drowning are children, the statistics didn't mention the near drowning incidences and brain and health related issues, can become even more costly than the recommended suggestion of mandatory swimming lessons in schools, education awareness and guidance for the good ol' Canadians (Still, there are about 500 drowning in the country each year. For every drowning, there are between six and 10 near-drowning that can leave a child with brain damage or other serious medical problems)] -
If one were to google "Russian women in the news" brings up pages of mail order brides "Canadian women in the news" brings up topics of politics, human rights, technology, golf, health BIG difference

maybe this drowing is widespread worldwide. But the survey from The Lifesaving Society’s survey polled 433 Canadian-born adults and 599 Canadian immigrants from the Chinese, South Asian, Southeast Asian and Muslim communities. you are linking the Russians to Muslims? -
In light of the continuous drowning incidences in Ontario The Star sheds some light on who is vulnerable from research done by Lifesaving Society Survey found that 79 per cent of newcomers to be in and around water this summer, they are four times more likely to be unable to swim. It is never too late to learn to swim; I hope there can be some subsidised programs to help new Canadians learn to swim. In my region the cost to swim is $5.10 per visit and you can visit 3 or 4 times per day, amounts to a costly sum at a time when new Canadians are still learning about other kinds of sink or swim.

well, the octopus has well developed eyes for soccer, spain winning could be his biggest prediction yet and then we might as well advance him to a status of "oracle"
-
the spanish eyes are smiling, Spain wins today I am supporting Netherlands otherwise it would be a real feel good to watch Germany in the finals
-
I hope soccer is able advance and embrace technology, most sports are making allowance to challenge points via use of cameras - I am making reference to the England game clearly denied a critical goa. Anyway they were not convincing enough in their game against Germany who deserved to move on. England were outplayed and outrun, what a major disappointment - they were not in the same league as Germany.
-
I got stressed out with the vuvuzelas. Goodness, that terribly annoying monotone...I even stopped watching teams I don't wish to win, and now I am more stressed that I am missing out. I mean a girl can't catch a good game of soccer, what's next I think it quiet down a bit now.
