  1. isn't it about brain-drain if we allow our own to leave. Ireland and Australia welcomes the lot with open arms and they report that they are happy I mean is no-one concern that we have to import professionals and offer them compromising programs and allot space, and be lenient and mushy so that the foreign trained professionals are given a chance to succeed Question is are we compromising our health to be a certain standard and look to find a good Canadian doctor in the US, and elsewhere
  2. My kid is weighting her early acceptance for Harvard and U of T forensics medical program. I was thinking since she is still a minor for her to stick around here in Toronto with a good medical school - be patriotic. But with reports as above I guess it is best for the kids to move along rather quickly. I mean there are so many other reports of shortages of doctors that we have actually gone to lengths in importing them from overseas and yet this report tells a different story. gasp
  3. OK, I have never heard of Ronnie Hawkins but was introduced to Leonard Cohen 3 years ago - at first I didn't take to the music, but now admit there is something finer in songs that almost have a conversation and speak to you that makes you appreciate a great artist. I guess its the sometimes dark lyrics of longing for things that never will come, promises never kept, waiting for people you love who never show, incites imagery that exhaust the mind and insists that we take it easy, slow down, take a break - have a bite to eat...that's the sort of emotion he invokes I mean other music makes you want to dance, sing, play along....people who are depressed shouldn't listen to some of Cohen music it hardly reconciles a happy ending.

  5. it is not lies they "mis-speak"
  6. What's wrong with capitalizing and making money from sports - its a free market system, the weak are bound to get exploited at the hands of those who can successfully bargain, negotiate and seize what I call opportunity I care about competition If you can't tolerate sports first try getting rid of - maple leafs, Vancouver Canucks, Oilers , Calgary Flames, Ottawa Senators, NHL, hockey in general - they are making a spectacle of themselves - basketball - baseball - dancing - cheerleaders - golf - skiing - etc etc. all sports - SPIKE TV then come back several years later to explain why people are fat, sitting about all day clueless and dying early
  7. The answer of course is a simple one - NO When I was a bit younger visiting an inter-mural sports tournament, I recognized at once an athlete of talent and of great potential, a fellow called Darwin who literally sailed over the jumping pit but who was never given a chance to express a power that reside in the swiftness and agility of the hands and feet. I have since formed an opinion that everyone arrives at a checkpoint called foolishness. Here they are given nourishment (seeds) for which they can grow for the better or worst. If you can plant one seed and let a ray of sunlight on the seed and will it to grow that we can testify bravely of growth. What I meant is give a person an opportunity to keep his head on his shoulders, to shine with their talents, and to be brave and prove that they can run the fastest and jump the furthest, that you have allowed them the glory of citizenship of their potential unleased. Or you can pull the rug from under their feet and ask, is the Olympics for real? and then profess you think not. If seems to me that we have come to an intersection where people with half expressed opinion are in charge and these are the same people with mighty swaying on the future of sports. Simply put, they are are people in charge who are simply ashamed of those that can bravely represent us in sports, or war, they are afraid of those who are swift and can do their best, and unleash a potential unknown and so they will merciless pounce and be demanding on those in sports until the poor folks who who could have blossom with abilities and genius must been crushed and with no hope left. I believe that no athlete should be forced to accept what a stranger to sports debates, nor accept what these strangers would have thought and what they think or what we should think because they think nor accept opinions of another as their own but respect their own abilities and to carry on competition whether it is in Olympics sports or in the pools of their own backyard. Competition is as healthy as it gets, in sports, business, life, work, attitudes, character, whatever. Sports, fitness is healthiest way ever to life by.
  8. Toronto - boom boom with new kinds of folks BC - where retirees gathered Peterborough - where old folks gathered NY - where busy people gather Tim Horton's - where people with computers gathered
  9. Here is a report on the young and low self-esteem a reason why girls are admonishSelf-esteem and early sex I guess that each person carry their own values, and gauge it against what others and society is doing. I feel like the misguided free marketeer capitalist, I couldn't agree more the merrier. Sex is not special anymore, being a virgin, or waiting is so out of character I am not the one judge what is "bad" women, though I suspect it would always be those extra men the bad women must have carried when compared to the other person's own statistics.
  10. And just to reiterate a reason why youths should wait "Researchers' Alarming' Find: 25% of Teen Girls, Half of African-American Teen Girls Have a Sexually Transmitted Disease" 1 in 4 Teen Girls Infected With an STD really? I can pretend shock
  11. Its strange that the lawyer considered replying 9pm at night inappropriate, and not business hours The world has change so much that we can't sleep without the Blackberry. The messages just piles up I am afraid.
  12. Just as children learn the difference between right and wrong, lie and lie, they can also be guided to what is peer pressure, what are virtues, what is good and bad... to what builds a character, what is a good conscience etc. I believe that there is something by far finer in a person with a conscience, of worthy convictions, folks that are not only sure of themselves but also sure of their friends. What I meant, is what manner of moral man am I going to follow if I were to allow all the folk to lose themselves in insatiable sex in a round-robin, well maybe those moral ones are so sure of themselves and also sure of their friends since they are assured of being laid. But, now even the government folks are wondering about a cure, they raised the age limit of sex. The question I wanted to ask is when will it be good at last. Do not set high morals as a disadvantage. It blooms for those with pure conscience, the prudent, (neglected housewives lies) and aspiring ones who simply know its face, and the only compliment they pay it, is to own it. (i think someone famous said that)
  13. I had this morality explained to me Because I am in school and I had some moral dilemma, here is what my professor said to me You are taking a test. You are left on your own, and have every opportunity to cheat, the answers for the test are at your disposal, plus other students answer. People with high morals will still cheat at 5%. People will cheat to the % of their moral value. So you be the judge as to where your morals stand. I can say sex belong in marriage. Any sex outside of marriage is immoral to the point of cheating at 5%. That is the standard I guess. As I understand it, now the new breed of kids that we are bringing up don't have much standard. They can become engage alright but also they will use whatever means to get what they want, including violence. There is a survey out about youths, their thinking, and what they will do to get their way. But, also the kids we are bringing up now will "whack" you for the answers of the test I don't wish to be abuse. I recommend age 18 for sex - age appropriate for adult decision, take responsibilities for their actions and consequences
  14. Wait a minute now, if this is still democracy and the majority of folks believe something is immoral, don't we have some rights, and responsibilities to put checks and balances in place
  15. As girls are the ones most likely benefiting, while applauded I'd even encourage the age of consent to age 18, for folks to be adult, make adult decisions pertaining to the bedroom This approval of promiscuous behavior at such an early age and common law arrangements is the decay of morals and have led to much self esteem issues in women
  16. I am crossing my fingers for Hillary... I just got in from my classes and didn't catch the news as yet - so please report here if you have the good news about Hillary.
  17. What's this - it ain't over yet and I am backing Clinton totally If Clinton is NOT nominated, the next democrat of choice is McCain
  18. I used the food bank once and also during the same period the Church of Our Lady Immaculate gave my kid and I a voucher to get groceries. I am forever grateful that there was some solace for those in humble beginnings as it were for me. Ideally, I would imagine those who stumble and falter at varying stages of life, would turn to the food bank. I recalled the kindness of the people. They had much stuff available and we took what we needed. The food bank sent us off to the church who surprisingly never batted an eye to assist, but gave the opportunity to purchase our necessity. I can never forget those who help, when you needed them the most. I think the church must have also bless us. The same day we took their voucher, I got me a job and I haven't stop working since - YAY. And before you criticised that I was responsible for my sad state, I was too busy making my kid - YAY to that also. She turned out to be a good kid. I guess like most debates and discussions unless you actually experience the talking of alms, it is easy from a logical point to say get rid of this in favor of efficiency or to question how can this or that be. The food bank exist as grass-root savers, it works.
  19. A classic example of men thinking inside the box, most gadgets men invented or build has some phallic symbolism, they go by what they can see and touch all day you folks are getting weird Back on topic... I would say people always have this qualifying BUT when it comes to marrying outside of their own values, customs, and tradition. I wanted say that groups wish to think that they are perhaps misunderstood but I figure it is mostly for being polite and politically correct. The statistics show that even white liberals are less liberal when it comes to choice of mates. Would a white conservative male marry outside of tradition?
  20. I think this size issue is found in men who simply can't get over insecurities and they wind up feeling inadequate to their own demise. Now I wanted to address this horny bit. Sexual experience has always been normative for males; because sex got promoted that way, people always wrote exciting stuff of sex from the male engagement. The good news is men were used as a gauge for sex standard and horny bit. A woman being horny is problematic. It is strange to see females as horny and so we have to conceptualize the female engaged in a horny context. If a male say that he is horny, well, maybe he wishes to speak about sex. If a female says she is horny, now what she wants is questionable? Being a female and disapproving of this unequal measurement standard. I believe women must have their say in these erotic matters and that if horny man might feel genital sensations, that he may feel vaguely sexy, maybe he interested in sex, open to sex, or even just restless then the female must leave no ambiguity when she also admit of these similar fixations and interest. Further similar to men, women must confess to having a healthy sexual drive, appetite, interest, cravings, motivation, and a LIBIDO So I have no trouble accepting woman are as horny as men. What did God say after he created man? "I can do better than this” Somehow, I think women are better at all things Women also see colors better than men, literally and they don't do bicycles
  21. Unwanted attraction meant that you assess your preferences and that perhaps folks simply don't fit the required color scheme, attritubes, traits, characteristics and has to be filtered as rejects but you still can't help help the gaze or grief, i don't know which
  22. I feel folks have this romantic ideal of what they want and who they wish for. Look, they have been deciding since they were a kid. They want to be handsomely rewarded with Mr Right and Miss Sweet and stick to their belief and preferences and wait. I would also like to stick to my notions for choice of mate - however, I happen to know that we can falter in our gaze for the ideal mate, and unwanted attractions and feelings creeps up unexpectedly and we can develop a liking to other colors. Then it is whether you thwart yourself to your preferences of romantic illusions. However, I think the more flexible, more traveled, and the more liberal people are in their views, the more open the imagination, the more generous, fun, caring, the more the adventure, pleasure and might result in the acceptance of people of different color for dating, like the more choices the merrier.
  23. Oh dear! My only response how very very liberal we have become.
  24. - small aisles in the grocery store - carrying a purse - cleaning - cooking, but now I have some cook books, yay - silly ring tones on executives phones - searching for the remote - swearing - giving someone alternative names in the form of ridicule e.g. billary or mudslinging/mis-match two people pictures and call it art/cartoon - the perception that men are smarter than women - adults who still blame their parents - folks who say money can't buy happiness - leaving the bag of milk in the container with a few drops of milk - people who are upset over small things I see that I can still humor myself
  25. I think when arguments are of a moral compass it should be rightly focus. This society is crawling with immoral thoughts and justification why wrongs should be practiced. It is unbelievable. You can measure societies by the amounts of moral concern it provides for the weakest links e.g. abortion is of moral concern, and is a major platform for political power. Incest in my opinion is crossing the threshold of what is moral. As a culture and nation we do have a duty to abide by its: Belief: (The current expectation of the children we produce would entail that our kid meet some nice boy or girl, NOT to mate with their siblings) Standard: (within my own race) Principles: (same systems of belief, and responsible moral behaviour) Ethical Limits: (I refuse and would NEVER produce kids to commit insex each other) I always felt that there is perhaps a high % of women who choose not to reproduce for the simple reasoning that this is a decaying moral society. And you have listed some of downfall of society: gay genes, free sex all around, cheating on partners, simply cheating, no good moral standards, no good role models, the young ones can't distinguish between right, wrong and mischief, and now rightly or wrongly trying to justify incest. I mean what happen to sex being special, private and personal - at one time it meant a boy meets girl, fell in love, they got marry, had some children and live happily. Not as today boy and girl meet tons of whatever they can get easily. We are shaped by limits. Some limits carry invisible boundaries and incest is out of bounds. There is something also called self-worth, and conscience, if current societies are intending to remain civilized and preserved self-worth, then living within the constraints of moral boundaries is paramount.
