Jesus had repeatedly warned us of false prophets, of those who'll use His name. There are numerous prophecies in the Bible that had already come true (I can't recall the approximate number). That's why it's said in the Bible that one way you'd know a fake prophet is through his failed prophecy.

"Embellishing" is lying. NDP ran on honesty, trustworthiness - "the party whom people can trust." And now they blame their staff. Hah! Weren't they critical of the Cons blaming aides and staffs? I wonder if this "embellishment" is an isolated case....or are there any more?

What can I say? If you can't get it....you don't get it.

Layton is caught between a rock and a boulder! It will be something watching him try to maneuver himself out of this predicament.

I somehow suspect this too. Perhaps not necessarily from Layton himself (maybe yes)....but from those who were recruiting candidates for Quebec. This turf falls under the management of Mulcair? If Conservatives do a good job of governing, showing sensible fairness to all provinces with no blatant pandering, I strongly think - even without any special privileges thrown to Quebec - Harper will gain more seats in Quebec.

Good! At least that shows he knows how to listen! That's part of the learning process....all rookies go through that. Not just in politics. It's called "training." I Positive sign that he's a Team Player! Know what happens when a player doesn't follow his coach? NDP ought to have a good serious chat with this young lad. Usually that's the downside of being too young - impulsiveness, refreshing candour that often times get you (and the Party) into sticky situations!

And the Liberals too. And although they don't despise the Bloc, polling result shows how much they find it so irrelevant....much more than the Tories and Grits! I predict that by next election, Harper will gain more seats in Quebec! Uh-uh. Not the Vegas Lady. She could hardly speak French...and Craig Oliver said today on Question Period, she could hardly pronounce the name of her own riding! Imagine that.

Then wait. In the meantime, let's talk about those who are making boo-boos now.

The way I see it, it's about the numbers of seats he has. An elected MP represents his constituents. Those who didn't vote at all don't count. They'd chosen to have no say!

So that was during the election campaign. We know why some Con candidates, especially the new ones were running away from the Con-witch-hunting media. Old news. Let us know when he makes a boo-boo.

Hey Rick, check the date on that reporting....so far I've not seen any denial yet coming from the NDP or young Pierre. Frothing at the mouth is one thing.....actually getting it published in a newspaper is another! I wonder how many newspapers are willing to place their credibility on the line (or getting sued for that matter)? I don't judge an article or commentary by the style of delivery - besides the greater challenge is in knowing the difference on what can be taken seriously or not.

Senator Lebreton didn't buy what the pollsters and the media said. Throughout the whole campaign, she was confident about a Conservative majority. She told Craig Oliver that what the pollsters and the media were doing was just talking about it among themselves....whereas they (the Conservative MPs) were talking to the people and they could see a big difference in the reception that they got knocking door-to-door, compared to the last election campaign! The media got all excited I guess in seeing a "stumped" Harper in the poll....happy that he couldn't break the "ceiling" to get his majority, even though these same media actually wondered why Harper seem so confident he will get his majority! That confident stance by Harper ought to have been enough for further investigative reporting! Perhaps Milewski, Fife and other media travelling with Harper should've knocked door-to-door to get the pulse of the people....instead of trying to trip up Harper into making statements that they can use against him! Just getting the majority bomb explode in the media's face is another victory for Harper!

Yeah, it is no laughing matter the amount of stress Layton will be on (and hopefully it doesn't take such a toll on him). Having said that, "not expecting to win" is a poor excuse for what's starting to look like a sloppily done vetting process. Somebody didn't do their homework and Layton is the one who will have to carry that burden.

This comment from young Pierre makes me wonder if he misunderstood what NDP's supposed to be about....or was he told differently.....I mean to come outright to say that with confidence, he must believe what he said.

Media need not worry. The politcal scene wouldn't be dull by the looks of it. One story after another....and we haven't even started Parliament yet. I was referring prior to the election....while the house was still standing. I watched CTV and CBC most of the time (Power Play and Solomon)....and when they do talk about him, I've never heard anybody refer to him by his title. Perhpas that's the in-thing nowadays....

Anybody noticed that the tv guys publicly didn't refer to Harper as Prime Minister even while he was sitting? They just called him "Harper." Did they treat Chretien the same way? I'm asking....

The media wouldn't be as unfair on these MPs as they were with Harper. Just as one post reveal, that Mansbridge - with this innuendo - was telling harper if he's going to be nice now.
