  1. This HAMAS - the EVIL terrorist group that the CBC/BBC are trying to protect! What else could be behind their stupid stance, if not ANTI-SEMITISM?
  2. Don't make this personal! You don't know squat about me! Your argument is moronic! I suppose you and the BBC/CBC don't see ISIS as a terrorist group! Going house-to-house, hunting for people! A baby riddled with bullets! can you visualize that? You can try to white-wash them as much as you'd most likely try to white-wash the NAZIs. But..............it still boils down to this: HAMAS - a terrorist group - is E V I L! You got a problem with that? Too bad.
  3. Their policy is moronic! Calling a group the kind that it's been officially declared - "TERRORIST" - is not ranting! It's an identification of the kind of organization it is. What? CBC/BBC aren't calling a pedophile, a pedophile at all? You're saying calling a pedophile, a pedophile..................is ranting? Or.......calling a group a mafia......or, cartel.........lol, what? They're not being called as such? Trying to give some shades of "legitimacy" to a terrorist group - looks to me, anti-semitism is at the root of this policy.
  4. CBC leaked emails tell reporters to not use 'terrorist' in Hamas coverage: 'This is opinion, not fact'

    LIAR!

Hamas is officially declared and recognized as a terrorist group!

    Hamas

Date added to the list: Nov. 27, 2002

Hamas, which stands for Harakat Al-Muqawama Al-Islamiya, is an “Islamist-nationalist terrorist organization” with the goal of establishing an Islamic Palestinian state in Israel. The organization is responsible for “several hundred terrorist attacks” since 1990, according to Public Safety Canada.

Canada, the European Union and the United States classify Hamas as a terrorist group, while Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom only consider the group’s militant wing as a terrorist group.

I suppose CBC doesn't want to call ISIS a terrorist group either!

    2. Aristides

      Aristides

I think that is the correct thing to do when reporting factual information. Labels should be saved for opinion pieces. CBC has repeatedly reported that Hamas and ISIS have been designated terrorist organizations by Canada and most other western countries. That is factual, not opinion.

  5. CBC leaked emails tell reporters to not use 'terrorist' in Hamas coverage: 'This is opinion, not fact' Executive told reporters that terrorism 'remains heavily politicized' The Canadian Broadcasting Corp. gave strict guidelines to reporters on using the term "terrorist" in their coverage of Israel's war with Hamas, leaked emails reveal. "Do not refer to militants, soldiers or anyone else as ‘terrorists.’ The notion of terrorism remains heavily politicized and is part of the story," CBC's director of journalistic standards, George Achi, wrote in an email to employees on Saturday. A CBC spokesperson confirmed the internal email's legitimacy to Fox News Digital. The CBC characterized the protocol as similar to practices followed by other media outlets. https://www.foxnews.com/media/cbc-leaked-emails-tell-reporters-not-use-terrorist-hamas-coverage-opinion-not-fact CBC is blatantly lying, and going against the government in this sensitive time. Taxpayers ought to be outraged about this. It shouldn't be swept under the rugs.
  6. TWO EMBARRASSMENTS IN A ROW! We've become the laughing stock in the global community! Trudeau isn’t being taken seriously about India Since Prime Minister Justin Trudeau dropped his bombshell assassination accusation against India, the world has waited for him to back it up. But Ujjal Dosanjh says that when it comes to credibility on this file, Trudeau — and Canada — don’t have much. And the unserious way in which Trudeau has handled allegations surrounding the murder of Hardeep Singh Nijjar hasn’t helped. Dosanjh, a former Liberal cabinet minister and B.C. NDP premier, joins host Brian Lilley this week to explain what’s really going on with the allegations, Indian diaspora politics and how Ottawa has undermined Canada’s global reputation with its shallow approach to the significance of India and the issue of Khalistan separatists in Canada. (Recorded Sept. 21, 2023) https://torontosun.com/opinion/trudeau-isnt-being-taken-seriously-about-india/wcm/5abeb609-952e-4a81-bc4e-c76fc87a06d8
  7. Opinion: Trudeau’s fumble on India What has surprised critics is that Trudeau made the allegations public before the police investigation was completed. That has angered the Indian government, which is demanding that Ottawa show the evidence. https://www.cnn.com/2023/09/24/opinions/trudeau-modi-india-canada-tensions-sikh-bociurkiw/index.html Trudeau must be desperate to distract from all the current problems CANADIANS are facing due to his incompetence!
  8. I notice - suddenly - all seems quiet with Trudeau regarding INDIA. Could his lips been zipped...........................by other allies? Or. maybe.....he's been given a break. Must be because of the new scandal - the accusation that now - we're not only harboring terrorists - but also honoring, giving standing ovations to .................................................. ................NAZIS! And, Poland might want to extradite. Oh, boy.
  9. Do you stand in the House of Commons and make such a public announcement against an important ally and trade partner of an................ .....................allegation? No matter how credible it is? Let's face it. It could've been handled diplomatically. Why Trudeau would make such a grandstanding move - that of course, would result in a spat with Modi - that's anyone's guess. (note: sorry. can't minimize the font.)
  10. Can you cite your source that says cops had investigated him and found them false.
  11. Well? Without anything to back the allegation - we're all free to speculate! Why would it be "crazy talk?" Depends on which scenario benefits China the most - Khalistan referendum or western nations having a fall-out with India? Mind you, I know practically nothing about China's interest (Khalistan) in India. ?
  12. Having spent the past months fighting accusations that he acted too slowly to address serious allegations that China attempted to meddle in Canada’s 2019 and 2021 elections, Trudeau’s has landed in a potentially costly diplomatic dog fight with the world’s most populous democracy, India, at exactly the time he needs Delhi the most. Put simply, the timing couldn’t be worse. What has surprised critics is that Trudeau made the allegations public before the police investigation was completed. That has angered the Indian government, which is demanding that Ottawa show the evidence. Trans-Pacific diplomatic dog fight In a rapidly deteriorating bilateral relationship, both sides have expelled diplomats. A Canadian trade mission has been postponed and trade talks frozen. Delhi has gone even further by temporarily stopping the processing of visas for Canadian citizens and warning its citizens about visiting Canada. Meanwhile, pressure on Trudeau to fill the information vacuum is growing: “The Prime Minister needs to lay out his case, immediately, to bolster support for the government’s actions both at home and abroad,” the Toronto Globe and Mail said in an editorial. “Canadians deserve clarity on such an important matter, particularly given the potential for significant diplomatic and economic repercussions.” Oh, Canada! India is the most important counter balance that the West has to China’s ascension as the dominant superpower of the 21st century. That explains why Canada’s main ally, the United States, is sitting resolutely on the sidelines. The Biden administration can’t be blamed for prioritizing its ongoing bromance with India and Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the bilateral relationship with Ottawa. For Trudeau and Joly — his former Quebec lieutenant who came to the post with no foreign affairs experience — the crisis comes shortly after the government unveiled a long-awaited and much vaunted Indo-Pacific strategy meant to make relations with India and the region a cornerstone of Canadian foreign policy. https://finance.yahoo.com/news/opinion-trudeau-future-stake-canada-164214680.html @CdnFox @SpankyMcFarland @Aristides If the relationship with India becomes more corrosive, it could impact the ailing Canadian economy: Indian students represent a whopping 40% of total overseas foreign students, it is one of Canada’s top ten trading partners and the fourth biggest source of tourism. For Trudeau, who has survived three ethics violations and will go down in history as the first Canadian prime minister to be found guilty of breaking federal ethics laws, the crisis occurs in the background of plummeting ratings, brought about by a stubborn cost of living and housing crisis. https://finance.yahoo.com/news/opinion-trudeau-future-stake-canada-164214680.html
  13. @Aristides @CdnFox @SpankyMcFarland You guys better calm down. Trudeau hasn't named any specific G-Eyes. I suppose, no G-Eyes want to come out publicly? Not even the USA? While Cohen would not comment on whether the intelligence informing the Canadian government's investigation was both human and surveillance-based, or whether it included signals intelligence of Indian diplomats, the United States envoy to Canada said "there was shared intelligence among Five Eyes partners that helped lead Canada to making the statements that the Prime Minister made." Amid reports from CBC and The Associated Press that the intelligence Trudeau was speaking of did not come from Canada alone, and that additional information was provided by an unspecified member of the intelligence-sharing alliance between Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the United States, Cohen told Kapelos that there was "a lot of communication" between Ottawa and D.C. He made this comment while denying a Washington Post report alleging that weeks before Trudeau's bombshell declaration, Ottawa asked its closest allies, including the U.S. to publicly condemn the murder and that overture was rebuffed. "Very bluntly, I will say that — and you know me well enough — that I'm not in the habit of commenting on private diplomatic conversations," Cohen said. "Look, I will say this was a matter of shared intelligence information," he added. "There was a lot of communication between Canada and the United States about this, and I think that's as far as I'm comfortable going." https://www.ctvnews.ca/politics/shared-intelligence-from-five-eyes-informed-trudeau-s-india-allegation-u-s-ambassador-1.6574265
  14. @Aristides @CdnFox @SpankyMcFarland For all we know - it was CHINA that's behind the assassination! For what? Exactly for this!
  15. @Aristides @SpankyMcFarland Modi claimed to have talked to Trudeau about Nijjar being a terrorist responsible for some terrorist crimes. It wasn't the first time India brought this up it seems. Granted we can't extradite him nor can we suppress freedom of speech - but instead, making him a Canadian citizen right on the heels of their complaint against him - wouldn't that be a provocation? Wouldn't that clearly indicate, in nor uncertain terms, that they're ignoring INDIA? Something else could be at play here. If the whole WESTERN NATIONS get involved against India - who do you think will be clapping its hands with glee? If there is a fall-out between WESTERN NATIONS and India - who do you think will benefit the most? C H I N A. On the grand geopolitical chess board, India is a key player. Not only is it a growing power - the most populous country in the world, the fifth-biggest economy. But it is also seen by the West as a potential bulwark against China. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-66856568?at_link_id=8DF654A8-570F-11EE-BB14-7350FE754D29&at_link_type=web_link&at_ptr_name=twitter&at_campaign_type=owned&at_format=link&at_bbc_team=editorial&at_link_origin=BBCNews
  16. @SpankyMcFarland @CdnFox This isn't about being a "fan." This is about "looking at things.................... OBJECTIVELY and RATIONALLY. It's become the norm for liberals to presume guilt before any trials......and in this case, even before being presented with an evidence. All it takes is an accusation, and your whole world can be turned upside down. Scary mentality - some liberals have nowadays. It's so like..........communist!. Therefore - don't even try to bring up the RULE OF LAW! WHAT, 'RULE OF LAW?" Presumed innocent until proven guilty! That part rings a bell? When you're making a very serious public accusation about a nation's leader before the whole world..............citing "confidentiality," seems so hollow and immature. Especially so when it is about an important ally and trade partner. "Confidentiality," will seem like a very convenient cop-out. I haven't checked the news yet as of this writing. So far, Trudeau is asking for INDIA's help in investigating. HELLO? https://ottawacitizen.com/news/canada/trudeau-seeks-indias-help/wcm/da421a5a-245b-47f1-ac36-a76b45287f55 LOL - after humiliating Modi and INDIA publicly before the global community, what should we expect from India? To come forward willingly and cooperate? ? G-eyes - even the ones who shared intel with us - aren't coming forward to CORROBORATE the allegations! ALL WE HAVE IS AN ALLEGATION! The accuser says: he did it! The accused says: I didn't! Therefore, right now - this is a matter of "he says, he says!"
  17. @QuebecOverCanada Who is this other 5-eyes? Unless the particular 5 eyes partners who gave the intel come forward to corroborate that claim. As far as I know, no one has.
  18. Spin it as you wish. But, according to Global News, he was on Interpol List. India's media calls it, "RED CORNER NOTICE." I looked it up, what it means. https://www.interpol.int/How-we-work/Notices/Red-Notices
  19. @CdnFox @WestCanMan Not saying that I agree with assassinations done by foreign individuals in sovereign nations, but to get some perspective on this issue - put ourselves in MODI's shoes! Apparently, Hardeep Singh is also raising funds to support the seperatist movement in India. Lol - didn't the Liberals explode when money from Conservatives in the USA start pouring in to support the CONVOY protest? Wasn't the Convoy people accused of terrorism? Didn't Trudeau start freezing bank assets? Was that constitutional?
  20. I don't think anyone is saying that! THIS IS THE POINT: at the end of the day - if we're going to hurt ECONOMIC ties, let alone a friendly relation with a long-time ally - we need more than just an accusation! THAT'S THE ISSUE! ESPECIALLY SO, when relations are shaky already in the first place. Everyone knows MODI doesn't like Trudeau................. for meddling with the farmers' protest! Trudeau should've really walked on eggshells around this murder. Utmost diplomacy is what any responsible leader would do, mindful of the economic repercussions at a time when CANADIANS are facing such financial crisis! I don't know what you and I are arguing about!
  21. I suppose the Font Liberte du Quebec must be a hero in Quebec to some.
