Islamic Fanatics Beat Journo in Canada
sharkman replied to ScottSA's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
The silence on this thread from the left is hilarious. They see no evil and hear no evil about certain groups no matter what they do. I'm thinking that they better get their hands over their ears good and tight because this is only starting in Canada. -
Polyester Gore, or, a Snake-Oil Convenient Lie
sharkman replied to jbg's topic in Moral & Ethical Issues
Here you go That link has data that is from the UN, and is 4 years old. Thanks, but I think I'll do some research that is not UN sourced, those guys are pushing kyto like a crack dealer. -

What? Canadians emit a lot more carbon dioxide than the Chinese. China's industry has been ramping up since the mid 90s. They have serious polution problems and many coal fired power plants, with many more slated. Could you show the class with a link to back up your remarks? -
Shooting Leaves 22 Dead at Virginia Campus
sharkman replied to M.Dancer's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
You mean, routinely carry an assault rifle to defend yourself from a potential attack? What kind of dolt response is that? Having a hand gun in one's home would help one defend one's family. Why did you assume I meant an assault rifle from my comment? -
This doesn't take into account the dynamic of vote splitting. The Libs are obviously worried about it.

So, any gossip on Dion's demise today?

Harper to appoint Brown as Elected Senator
sharkman replied to Michael Bluth's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Wow, a blow for democracy in Canada, the country that loves a soft dictatorship. -

Again, and those famed benefits (of freedom - to carry couple of loaded automatic handguns or an assault rifle, etc) are? I'll bite, lawbreakers and whackos will always carry guns and other weapons. When law abiding citizens are attacked as happens far too often lately, they can defend themselves. -
One thing I've noticed these playoffs is the stark difference in the reffing styles. Some series (Ottawa/Pits) have been allowed to take each others heads off, while in others it feels like November all over again when phantom hooks were called and diving rewarded. All the teams can do is play the way they are reffed, and the Vancouver series, though not particularly invigorating to begin with, has been worse with the tight reffing.

A little after-dinner troll? No, I haven't had supper yet.

Uh, yeah, I'm aware what I've made some links to, and therefore your predisposition to scorn. But a few titles does not a reading list make, my friend. I don't read the Washington Times, Fox, Annie or Frontpage, whatever that is. But if you start a thread bash on a left wing editorial, be prepared to be called on it. It appears that you have too much time on your hands. Maybe you should read more. -
Wow, Rue, you have really done your homework. I wouldn't worry about what certain Jew haters might call you. You must learn around here that presenting clear facts will never sway the peanut gallery who only trust what they are spoon fed from the left wing media.

Well, I suspect I can find a lot of guys like that. In fact, Memri has archives of 100s of clips of guys like that, but I'm asking if you can find me just one Christian minister who brandishes a sword and calls for the heads of apes and pigs Jews. Just one. It shouldn't be hard, since extremist Muslims are no different from extremists Christians, right? Did father Coughlin, in the dirty 30s, I might add, brandish a sword and call for the deaths of Jews? I don't recall hearing that anywhere. Scott, it looks like no one can find a Christian minister who calls for the heads of Jews. I think they are too busy in the other thread poking a stick at the wackos who think God hates the world to face reality.

I'd be intrested to know how you prove this. How for example is a child provide more economic beneift than imported labour. Why does it have to be compared to imported labour. A growing population will have, for the most part, a growing economy, and a shrinking population will not. That's why the government has opened the floodgates of immigration in Canada, there's not enough children being born.

Yeah, I know who the comment was aimed at since you quoted him. You seemed to have missed my point, however, that you slam scott for no content but have plenty of your own empty headed comments. As a matter of fact you suspect wrong on the breeding assumption as well. Not all of us righties are breeders, maybe it takes one to know one. How old are you anyway, you seem to find hilarity in odd things.

What some are not blind to are the legions of Christians taking up bomb belts and girding their loins and stepping into a crowd of infidels to get the heavenly touch down of paradise. Ah wait, Christians don't do that. Neither do they brandish swords and encourage their congregations to lop off the heads of jews, yada yada yada. But you don't seem interested in those teeny differences between the faiths, a sort of hands on approach that Muslims favor. As far as preachers giving free reign to their governments, uh, do you actually think governments care what different churches want them to do? Cause there ain't much unity to be found in the requests. The Muslim clerics, however are pretty unified in killing Jews and infidels. And their governments seem to listen better, what with the laws on women not showing their faces, and people such as gays not being allowed to live peaceful lives, let alone marry. Those differences seem lost on you bcchick, but keep reading kook websites to get all your information.

This comment shows a real lack of depth on many levels, which is why I ignored it previously. Such a lack of critical thinking and knee jerking does not help solve the issue.

Initially they were were the Canadian Reform Alliance Party. Till they put the acronym together. You're stealing Air Farce material. At least you could give a reference.
-
Exactly. Look, you used the term respectful. Then after I call you on it you move the goal posts and insist what you really meant was using insults. Saying that other posters were worse is not the point. Your statement was wrong, and you need to learn when to admit you were incorrect. All I have ever said was Liam was disrespectful when he he said such things as, "I don't give 2 shits what you think...". If you can't find that disrespectful, then I leave you to your perspective.

Guys who pay attention to crap like Fox, Washington Times, Drudge, Frontpage or Axis Annie shouldn't start comparing reading materials. You have no idea what I read. Good try though. -
Nope, Bubber I am not seeking victimhood, otherwise I would have responded 4 pages ago when the remarks in question were made.

This is false....no bees does not mean no food. It means more expensive food. Bee husbandry is part of agribusiness. Bzzzzzzzzzzz... True enough, I was oversimplifying to get a point across, but I believe it could cause more starvations in poor countries if western nations had to curtail aid shipments. Higher prices would make it harder on the poor in richer nations.

And you have 2 standards, which makes you a hypocrite. Oooooh, so it's only disrespectful if you insult somebody. dis·re·spect·ful [dis-ri-spekt-fuhl] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation –adjective characterized by, having, or showing disrespect; lacking courtesy or esteem: a disrespectful remark about teachers. And guyser, what meaning he was trying to get across is not what is in dispute, nor what he was labelling me. gc1765 made a statement that Liam has been respectful and I am taking issue with that only. Those comments are disrespectful.

Special status?? Where in my post did I say that being gay earns me special status? Being gay doesn't make me better than anyone. But it doesn't make me worse than anyone, either. Particularly when you consider that gay people fund their governments in equal amounts as their straight brethren, yet most of them get nothing but inequality in return. Thankfully, I live in Massachusetts which has full equality, but 95% of gay Americans live in states where they pay as much in taxes as straight people but get nothing in return. Is that fair? That is THE gay agrenda. I couldn't give two sh*ts if you like me, love me, hate me or want to see me hoisted on a pike in the town square. But my agenda, THE gay agenda, is not to be forced to treated like a dog turd on the street. Why should I pay taxes into a system which continues to marginalize me as a person and give me fewer rights than someone who did nothing to earn better status? I've paid into systems that hates me long enough. You have the luxury of being oblivious to it. Society caters to you, whether you know it or not. For me, if I lived anywhere else than where I do, I'd have to incur thousands of dollars in legal fees for will drafting, health care proxies, and the like. And regardless of where I live and regardless fo the rights I have here in Massachusetts, I still wouldn't get the same protection at the federal level than Britney Spears gets when she decides to have a 30 hour marriage with her latest co-dependent at the Betty Ford Clinic. So spare me that "gay agenda" cr^p. It seems to me that straights are the ones with the real agenda and it's to keep anyone unlike them at a disadvantage. Geez can't anyone read anymore? This is the post I was taking issue with, not the one guyser refers to. To head off more misunderstanding the remarks that are rude are as follows: I couldn't give two sh*ts if you like me, love me, hate me or want to see me hoisted on a pike in the town square. But my agenda, THE gay agenda, is not to be forced to treated like a dog turd on the street. Also this one: So spare me that "gay agenda" cr^p. Don't get me wrong, I'm a big boy and I'm not bothered by this. I'm bothered by those who insist Liam is being respectful when he's obviously not.
-
Just to be clear, it was you who framed his remarks as being respectful and when I showed you a disrespectful one you insist it's still respectful unless you call someone a dog turd. You seem unaware of more than one way to be disrespectful. And I had begun my remarks that drew such ire with the phrase, "with respect".
