  1. I think Iran IS the biggest nuclear threat today, with a close second being NK. Iran's ranting against Israel is not defendable no matter how hard the apologists try. When Israel stated that Iran could be wiped off the map as well, the hypocrisy coming from Iran fans was hilarious.
  2. I heard about this story, and it is indeed sweet and scary at the same time. A judge, who is supposed to be protecting the public from this garbage is instead collecting it for himself. Here in Canada, they don't put up with that kind of nonsense. That is, judges wouldn't accept the evidence he discovered while hacking. The story I read says a B.C. judge said he would be acting as an agent of the RCMP while doing this, so the evidence would be thrown out. Kind of sounds like judges protecting their own to me.
  3. Huh? From one singular example you extrapolate character traits of Justin? You may be reaching a little, after all it sounds like you are a fan of his. But here's an example of his actions, which may tell another story about him. It's an observation of Patrick J. Delaney, who wrote a letter to the editor of the National Post. He mentions the photo op wherein JT was dashing through the airport named after his father when he stopped just long enough to announce to the reporters gathered there that he would be seeking the nomination in the Papineau riding. This riding has been described as a working class riding. JT then dashes over to the Air Canada "Super Elite" counter to check in, no doubt flying first class to Vancouver. The guy obviously doesn't see himself as 'working class', and is just a carpetbagger who is parachuting into a riding he thinks he can win. Has he run any companies? Any upper management type positions? Just what is his life experience from which he can draw to serve the public, or is he just running on his father's name?
  4. Ah, that grand Conservative appreciation of democracy rearing its ugly head once again. Everyone is entitled to your opinion I see. What, now nobody is allowed to disagree with conspiracy theories lest they be called ugly headed conservatives?(!)
  5. Yeah, I'm investing heavily in children clothing companies because they gotta clothe the little slaves!
  6. It's your fault, however, that you are so poorly informed, and that you are so rant prone.
  7. That's quite a post, and seems to consider all players. It is indeed a chess match with several players, but I wonder about the Muslim extremists in each country in the region, for their goals are common and they seem to be able to sway the will of the people there. I believe they don't want the U.S. to achieve any of its goals and are willng to kill as many of their countrymen as is necessary to stop the U.S. As well, they want to usher in a Muslim empire of sorts, with Israel being wiped out. In Iraq, your idea of a multiethnic federated state would be a worthy achievement, but it seems an uncertain outcome with said extremists and terrorists willing to sacrifice so many other's lives.
  8. It was addressed to Little Jerry Seinfeld. Do you think that, if the U.S. was intending to attack Iran, they'd come out and say so at this point? Gotta look for the warning signs: the sudden apperance of evidence of Iranian meddling in Iraq, the deployment of a second carrier battle group to the gulf and Patriot missile bateries (deployments which would serve no purpose in quelling the insurgency). Indeed, I would say that the "surge" could also be a warning sign, as the U.S. could be reinforcing its troops in order to prepare for an Iranian counterstrike through its Iraqi proxies. I was aware that your " I'm in your mom" comment was addressed to Jerry, but anyone reading this thread can see it and it appears pretty weird at the least. Yes, I think that if the U.S. was intending to attack Iran, they would come out and say so. Just like they came out and said so for Desert Storm, and this latest military action in Iraq.
  9. Who is this Baylee poster? Starting (count 'em) 6 threads in the last 4 days, all with the same general bush shrieking slant to them. This is really clogging up the bandwidth for nothing more than someone getting on a soapbox rant. Forget about America, will Baylee ever get the message that his/her Bush Derangement Syndrome based comments only turn the average poster here off. Is having reasonal dialogue too much for you?
  10. Perhaps I am a little clueless, but what is that supposed to mean, exactly? Yesterday I asked for evidence that the U.S. is going to attack Iran. Apparently none exists. The link that started this thread makes no such statements. I hope this isn't yet another thread started with no other purpose than to shriek about Bush. However, I'm not holding my breath.
  11. Noticed this thread with interest, and I'm wondering what evidence there is that the U.S. is preparing military action against Iran. I haven't been keeping up with current events lately, is anyone reporting this?
  12. I must beg to differ with your characterization of the left. They do not merely ask questions. They try to change the mind's of all dissenters, as if only they have the one true path to the situation. Not all but the majority. It's rather trying.
  13. They should just nuke them and turn Sandland into glass. Get it over with. And don't stop there. Nuke the hell out of Jordan, Syria, Saudi Arabia and Iraq! But get the army out first. I can see Bush messing that one up. Then nuke Russia, China, oh and France. Uhm, North Korea's gotta go, Cuba, and Venezuala too. That about does it. No, wait, Spain's been getting uppity, nuke them too. Then sell everyone the materials and means to rebuild with good old American know-how. You people really gotta get a grip on reality. No one's going to nuke Iran. But at least in the end you can claim you influenced international policy and won some kind of victory.
  14. Canadian, I think catchme's just trolling. It's just too far out there. Maybe this is catchme's entertainment for the evening.
  15. Come on, everyone knows Gore claimed he invented the internet, he tried to back out of it later but it was too late. Just like Kerry said he voted FOR the patriot act BEFORE he voted against it. He later tried to explain and spin, but the stupid things people say in politics tend to stick. Funny how Bush can get away with it though. He's filled a book with funny quotes, yet he's a two termer. It probably says more about the competition at the time I guess.
  16. Okay catchme, now you are in full spin mode. Good for you. Like, nuclear war is never a good idea. No frickin kidding, Einstien. That's why people are so nervous about Iran's ambitions. But keep on freaking out about Israel, your wild eyed posts say more about you than they do any point you are trying to foist on us. For the reasonable person reading this, funny eh how some people are shrieking that Iran's gonna get nuked!? Kids these days.
  17. Just in case you are open to reason, here's proof from none other than Al jazeera, a news network very simpathetic to Arabs and Muslims( and some other quotes) Al jazeera BBC World net daily ynet news Sydney Morning Herald I hope you don't think all these ( I could have listed dozens) news organizations are involved in a grand conspiracy of some kind. These facts speak for themselves, and Ahmadinejad, the Iranian president is a dangerous fool.
  18. BC chick, don't tell me you have selective memory too? I've never seen such blatant avoidance of facts than from you and catchme.
  19. I agree. He is worse because he can hide. Canadians are as preoccupied with US politics as Canada. Okay, what in the world does,"Cdns are as preoccupied with US politics as Canada," mean?
  20. Are you refering to Israel 'shooting' Iran? Talk about over simplifying a very complex issue. How about if the neighbor has been making threats regularly to shoot you, and has been stabbing a neighbor next to him (Iraq war) in the past. The reason he wants a gun is his knife is too short to stab you. Israel would not 'shoot' Iran or kill the nation, to try and follow your little story, they would take the gun away. Or maybe NATO will take the gun away, so said violent neighbor doesn't hurt anyone else.
  21. That's AWESOME!!! Truth through hip hop!!! If only I was that stupid! damnit - no wonder I didn't get the pussy I wanted when I was a young feller! I didn't lie and I wasn't STUPID. damn it all to hell. Dude, you are going to have to watch your language if you want to be on this forum. The standards and rules are clear. You make an apt point, but no need to reference genitalia.
  22. And a Harper's Valentine day to you! Remember, love is a decision.
  23. Geez, we alreay share our resources with the US. They pay us for it, and we are doing quite well thank you. It's a knee jerk reaction to assume anyone would assume any of the US's debt. Don't look now but our economy is pumping out jobs and our unemployment rate has been quite low and will continue to be so for some time. You are so scared of everything. How old are you?
  24. "... Florida Court foisted themselves on the issue ..." I'm afraid you have your facts mixed up --- the Florida Supreme Court got involved when the Republicans brought the matter to them --- moreover -- the Florida courts have jurisdiction on Florida elections -- SCOTUS does not - and maybe dial down the hubris - you shouldn't be calling names when you don't know what you're talking about My above statements are not incorrect. Read it again. I never stated that anyone brought the matter to the Florida State court. I said the court foisted themselves(by not stopping the recounts of recounts) on the issue, and if that court has jurisdiction, then so does SCOTUS, simply because they handle appeals of lower courts. This is basic law. Name calling? Good one oh you who calls names in just about every post on this thread. Perhaps you should dial down your hypocrisy. Using numb nuts is particularly low brow. Edit: on reviewing this thread, your namecalling isn't in most every post like I thought.
  25. Uh, when the poster in question (catchnme) consistantly harps on the same nonsense time and again, there is no room for debate. We get it, you hate Harper. Do yourself a favour and vote Liberal next election, but presenting as fact things that are highly debatable and are only driven by your Harper Derangement Syndrome, does not lend itself to discussion. Your insistance that Israel will nuke Iran when you have no evidence save Israel's response (which does not include the word nuke ANYWHERE) to Iran's direct threats, which you conveniently ignore, show you for what you are.
