  1. How could gas prices go up in single cents or fractions of a cent, when the cent is no longer the 'official standard' and no longer exist and is replaced by the nickel? I realize what you are saying but until that time comes (if it actually does ever come), we will have to wait and see, as currently there is no proof either way. I hate the penny to, but to me is a necessary evil. I would prefer to see those pennies in my pocket, rather than help make some one else rich at my expense.
  2. We can talk all year and politically speaking, in reference to how the country operates, won't mean or change anything. Our opinion only matters via referendums, something parliamentarians choose to keep Canadians oppressed and powerless, even in EXTREMELY important matters relating to OUR own constitution.
  3. I think what Argus is trying to say is that English speaking Canadians do not support tribalism the same way francophones and ethnic immigrants do. But I think it would be a good idea if majority English speaking Canadians become less civilized and more primitive and find a party and leader that will support THEIR ideologies, similar to the way francophones and immigrants are being catered to, by our corrupt federal parliamentarians.
  4. Democracy is a misnomer, a fairy tale. To measure democracy is simply from a + to a -, in relationship to the worlds currently considered (by some countries) most freer country, theoretically speaking of course. But back to xul's question, in the case of China, TWB should be accepted. One in five people on this earth is a resident of China, a country that harbours 1.3 billion people. I believe no form of democracy or the full range of human rights could be applied to a country with a population of this size without unsurmountable problems. Take Canada for instance with its tiny population of 33-million people has to resort to CULTURAL DISCRIMINATION to enforce its version of human rights. I respect China and their form of government and believe Tibet is a source of anguish for the Chinese whereas Tibet is obviously influenced by Western ideologies. Leave China and their way of life alone.
  5. You are basically saying cultural discrimination wins elections. So what else could one possibly expect from corrupt tin pot dictators in 'officially multicultural' Canada.
  6. http://www.cbc.ca/consumer/story/2008/03/3...ny.html?ref=rss I cannot believe an NDP MP would be promoting a cash grab for retailers (now will be rounding off to the nickel) , contributing to higher inflation numbers. I know the oil companies will love this, raising gas prices in nickles, rather than fractions of a cent. Do you think the penny should be eliminated? EDITED by moderator: This was the Opening Post of a redundant thread entitled: MP to introduce bill to eliminate the penny It has been merged into this previous thread on the same topic.
  7. Hey, I don't want to get banned. If you notice, I didn't say what I would plant him with. He sunk his own ship with that one...namely with homosexual taunts. He belongs in the same barn with Dancer.
  8. What I said gay boy was: So you have one group more violent than the other, but they are ALL ANTI-ENGLISH. If you were in front of me now...I,d plant you one, right on the lips.
  9. Talk frankly? Who promotes to talk frankly about anything in this country or any issue of importance. We are told what to do and accept. This is why it DOES turn into hate mongering. And in turn, who can really blame the hate mongers who are really concerned citizens who were never given the opportunity, to democratically participate in issues, that normally require majority consent to be accepted.
  10. Why go all the way out to 'officially bilingual' New Brunswick when you basically have the same type of federal dictatorial language laws imposed on a majority English speaking population. Ottawa, Ontario, in a province that is NOT OFFICIALLY BILINGUAL has been federally bullied into a postion similar to 'officially bilingual New Brunswick'. The worst part is the majority English speaking residents of Ottawa sit on their hands and do nothing about this horrible discriminary display of linguistic discrimination. Meanwhile, their unemployed unilingual English speaking sons and daughters suffer in silent anguish. The French pour into Ottawa from Quebec and surrounding Ontario small French towns obtaining all the phoney bilingual postions, federal, municilple and private, couresty of 'a la federal government', the government that destroys English speaking culture.
  11. No I don't know. This kind of anti-English animosity is not new in Quebec. For the past five years it was promised that these French only by-laws (never mind a bilingual policy like Ottawa) would be translated into the English language, owing to the fact that a large percentage of English speaking Quebec taxpayers live in Gatineau, especially old Aylmer. So these pissants and city officials and the Quebecois in general, are the root of the problem and basically are all one group with the same anti-English motives. The same type of linguistic animosity is also happening in Montreal. Quebec would be better off separating with no strings attached to the ROC. BTW--Personal attacks are not permitted. This is against forum rules and I wonder what is the matter with the moderators in not picking this up and ban you permanently.
  12. This is from a province that has rejected any type of bilingual policy in the entire province, but certaintly expects the ROC linguistically conforms to its French linguistic expectations. To bad the English are not as protective of their English language, but very well should be or even more so as it is the majority language of Canada. http://www.canada.com/ottawacitizen/news/c...63-dbfff58adb6f
  13. Tax payers funds were given to the company: Relating to RADARSAT-1 and 2 alone. http://activistmagazine.com/index.php?opti...&Itemid=143 Star Liberal candidate Marc Garneau, former head of the Canada's Space Agency who supported retaining MDA, will no doubt benefit Liberal fortunes in the future relating to this support.
  14. Up to now public tax payer funds supported this company. In light of this, how can this fact possibly change? This is all about Marc Garneau's image and federally subsidized Quebec jobs. SCRAP IT.
  15. Don't blame poor stifled, oppressed Canadians. The undemocratic legislative actions of our federal government made certain of that.
  16. This is what anti-patriotic Ignatief culturally promotes, is "choose your belonging", rather than choose Canada. But being Canadian to a Quebecois has no patriotic relationship to our current country 'Canada'. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/French_Canadian Quebecois are politically correct cowards who harness the energy of confederation to support their Quebec nationalistic political ideologies, the ideologies they are incapable of supporting along with their obsolete French language on their own.
  17. Oh, here is Dancer propagating more 'how super multiculturalism is in Canada' propaganda. Read this Dancer, if you possess the intellect to do so: http://network.nationalpost.com/np/blogs/f...st-mistake.aspx
  18. The man is using wrong words. You tell me what he considers evidence, that is true and valid and that cannot be refuted????
  19. Sorry, but you cannot even post in a coherent manner. Evidence, your word not mine, requires proof. Now, where is your proof? Start all over again with your minority opinions in, point form, citing proof.
  20. Yeah, subsidized rentals (subsidized housing) and jobs, lots of them for sheet changers and maids.
  21. There is no 'apparently', gay boy. Frenchman have established the right to federal public service jobs via dysfunctional federal politics. But don't worry littleguy, the time will come when the English will defeat the French, ONCE AGAIN, federal politics or no federal politics.
  22. Prove my opinion is a minority opinion without linking to some form of common unproven telephone polls? The only way to prove this question and many other important questions relating to immigration, our constitution and Quebec is via a referendum, something our chicken little government will never resort to.
  23. Your the one who is playing and I don't play with posters who pretend they don't have a clue what the current political situation here in Canada and why that is.
  24. Unless you cite proof to back your unsubstantiated claims, it is viwed as nothing more than personal opinion. Have a nice day and better luck with your posting in the future.
  25. The majority White, English speaking, Christian culture, that's who. You are looking for major problems when you screw the majority culture with foreign imports and Quebec political aspirations. It is obvious our dysfunctional federal government feels it has no choice (the lefet vs. the right vs. the separatist) outide of kicking Quebec out of confederation, (pertaining to conventional politics) so it caters to Quebecs problamatic cultural demands.
