  1. This is not true, evolution requires imperfectly replicating living organisms. Evolution 101, Mechanisms: the processes of evolution Kinda makes you wonder how reliable that site is, if they get such a basic fact wrong. The fact remains evolution is a theory but yet cannot be substantially falsified by creationist. Personally I see no merit in the promoting or teaching of evolution as it dilutes the purpose of life and human beings in general, to the level of dogs and cats, pertaining to the level of self worth and lack of respect for life itself and only contributes to the degeneration of civilized behavior and loss of values and morals. Evolution has no place in society and should belong only in the bedrooms of smart ass scientist who don't even have the capability to create any meaningful form of any kind of life.
  2. This proves other criteria must be included with hate to perform such a dastardly deed. For instance why is it easier for some cultures/races to pull the trigger to kill someone or drive a knife deep in the body of someone, to purposely kill that individual? The answer IMO is the level or degree of civilized behavior is embedded in that individuals mind which is influenced dramatically, by the degree of uncivilized behavior that individual is exposed to in their country of origin, combined with hate. This is where I think our government as let Canadians down relating to all ethnic immigration from third world countries is not factoring in the level of civilized behavior and forcing the burden and potential life threatening ramifications onto a higher civilized Canadian population. So relating to all Muslims in general from Islamic countries the only criteria separating a non violent Muslim as compared to the terrorist variety, is non-civilized and civilized behavior, with both behaviors obviously both actively pursued to whatever unknown degree in Muslim Islamic countries. This is of course complicated by the fact there is no standard currently available to measure the degree of hate and civilized behavior thereby making all Muslims in general a potential risk as immigrants to Canada.
  3. "However, in science, a "theory" is a belief that has been verified by actual experimentation and/or observation." http://www.religioustolerance.org/ev_stat.htm
  4. What a nonsensical question. Whether pertaining to perpetrators of 9/11 or Muslims in general, what standard does one use to measure the degree of hate that exist in ones mind? Is hate not suppose to exist in the minds of Muslims and is only suppose to exist to perpetrators of 9/11?
  5. It is only a valid theory if it is proven to be an 'established theory' backed by laws as with Ohms Law, Newton's Laws and the laws of thermodynamics. Currently evolution has no credibility. "If the theory gains general acceptance in competition with others, then it may become an established theory. Its credibility is improved if it leads to the development of other theories and ultimately to a general advance in scientific knowledge. Established theories are sometimes called "laws," as in Ohms law, Newton's laws and the laws of thermodynamics." http://www.religioustolerance.org/ev_stat.htm
  6. ""The Evolutionary model says that it is not necessary to assume the existence of anything, besides matter and energy, to produce life. That proposition is unscientific. We know perfectly well that if you leave matter to itself, it does not organize itself - in spite of all the efforts in recent years to prove that it does." 5 http://www.christiananswers.net/q-eden/edn-scientists.html
  7. Let's translate your four out of ten into percentage. "While 38 per cent of respondents said they would be "in favour of Canada being annexed to the United States," 49 per cent disagreed. Another 13 per cent said they did not know or refused to answer. " So the numbers are very close and most of them probably don't know that Canadian water is considered by their government as a North American commodity and not Canadian. So when mouths begin to dry out for lack of water annexation will be welcomed by mostly all Americans, rather than bicker over this precious resource. Other numbers relating to Canada adopting the American dollar as its national currency was much more positive. "For this year's survey, the pollsters also asked Americans if they would be "in favour of Canada adopting the U.S. dollar as its national currency." Fifty-eight per cent of respondents said "yes," while 28 per cent said "no" and 15 per cent said they didn't know or refused to answer."
  8. In reality Canada is only an illusional type country totally dependent on the U.S. for its survival. Trudeau's multiculturalism and the emphasis on Quebec French culture and ethnic immigration along with the Liberal's hatred of Americans as tried to set up a definite cultural difference between Americans and Canadians, which I believe will eventually destroy Canada in the long run. You cannot hide the truth though, that in fact there is very little difference between Canadians and Americans. So bring on the SPP and deep integration to intertwine Canada and the U.S. and Mexico, as it is inevitable anyways and the sooner the better as the current emphasis on culture is fiscally destroying Canada. I would sooner have an American identity than the no name one that is used to identify Canadians as Canadian.
  9. Sure, transform the population into skinny sticks of muscle living well into their late 80's and 90's while bankrupting our Canada pension plan and possibly our entire health care system by treating hundreds of thousands of Canadians for other diseases related to old age.
  10. There is nothing significant in the article that makes the topic worthy of any type of intelligent discussion.
  11. Is this another crazy poll that has nothing to do with the real facts. Dancer is out to lunch on this one. Canada's involvement in Afghanistan is all about oil and supporting U.S. led 'Operation Enduring Freedom'. Due to the collapse of the Soviet Union, U.S. oil companies have been out to exploit Caspian Sea oil and gas. Afghanistan is important to U.S. oil companies because it is the only route that will provide total control for them via the proposed Trans-Afghanistan pipeline. Yeah those oil pipelines....whats there production anyway? Tinfoil? Eventually, maybe.

  13. I thought it was Bush who hated the English language. He mangles it worse than any French speaker. I really doubt that after listening to the 'little guy from Shawinigan' and current Liberal leader Stephane Dion and your average French speakers, many who are not able to comprehend more that two English words at a time.
  14. Answer... And thankfully we are free enough not to allow the military to curb our press freedoms and fortunate enough that the military has no intention of doing so. Captain Dufours quote was "This is a democracy" and has virtually nothing to do with 'freedoms' (your addition) and simply means: "a system of government by the whole population usu. through elected representatives" and in Canada this means a very basic level of democracy and basically only includes voting for the government of your choice, wow. I doubt if Captain Dufour knows what a democracy is, or certainly seems that way to make such a misrepresenting statement pertaining to the word democracy. BTW- Freedoms has nothing to do with military policy or censorship at a time of war.
  15. S/he's on my honorary ignore list. No, it's a he, a White English speaking Christian supporting Canadian. The minorities on this site are sometimes overwhelming with spite and hate and are totally unreasonable, due to the fact they are unable to handle criticism levelled at groups they could be part of. And to that I say if you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen.

  17. What military are we talking about, the Canadian military or the Quebec military? Who gives the orders? Are Quebec troops under Canadian control or Quebec control? Nothing like advertising the potential weakness of Quebec troops to be swayed out of combat duty by cheap anti-war protester letters backed by a 72% of Quebec residents who oppose the war in Afghanistan. The anti-war protesters know where the anti-war soft spot is. This article should have been banned for the sake of Canadian troops already fighting in Afghanistan whose morale could be affected by military personnel being encouraged to cop out of combat duty for one reason or another.
  18. "Some of the Quebec soldiers facing deployment to Afghanistan later this year will be waking up this week to find opposition to the war right on their doorsteps. The first of about 3,000 letters mailed by antiwar protesters are expected to start showing up in neighbourhoods around the military base in Valcartier, Que., home to the Royal 22nd Regiment. More than 2,000 Van Doos, as they're known, are scheduled to depart for Afghanistan beginning in August. " ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In Quebec, opposition to the war in Afghanistan stands at 72%. How can our Canadian military allow an article like this to possibly interfere with Canada's participation rate during an actual ongoing war, where many Canadians have already gave their lives for the country. Spokesman for the base from Valcartier Capt. Mathieu Dufour says: "Capt. Mathieu Dufour, spokesman for the base, said Monday he hadn't heard from anyone who had received a letter. Aside from that, Dufour said, the military will not be comment any further on what he called a "political movement.'' "They can do whatever they think they have to do,'' he said. "This is a democracy.'' "This is a democracy" whatever that is suppose to mean, which in reality demonstrates the weak military leadership that could undermine the participation rate in Canada's military and focuses on why initially is an article of this kind allowed to be made public during a time of war. http://www.ctv.ca/servlet/ArticleNews/stor...0611?hub=Canada
  19. Guns don't kill anyone, people do. What race or nationality is behind the majority of gun related killings in Toronto? I think this is an immigration problem and for some unknown reason the federal government will not identify the race or nationality responsible for the majority of gun related killings. If it is firmly established these killings are the work of certain individuals of a certain race or nationality, then this is where action obviously has to be taken, starting with deportations.
  20. Leafless, I will have to point out a false assumption in your post based on the given information. I'm not sure of the numbers myself, but I'll assume your numbers to be true for the purpose of this response. 11% of Francophones write in French most of the time. Alternative possibilities accounting for the remaining 89% of Francophones fall into the following categories: write in French always, more often than not, half of the time, sometimes, rarely, never. We also do not know how often bilingual Anglophones write in French (I'm sure many in Montréal and some in Gatineau use it quite often). You assume that the remaining 89% of Francophones write in French rarely, gnoring other possibilities. By the way, I didn't check your source, if there's anything in your source that I should be aware of that you haven't mentioned, please bring it up. You said: "You assume that the remaining 89% of Francophones write in French rarely, gnoring other possibilities." It is not up to myself to be responsible for ignoring other possibilities but is that of the 'Standing Joint Committee on Official Languages' if they felt that aspect was important which obviously they don't. The Standing Joint Committee's mandate will be almost impossible to meet and is expanded as to what official bilingualism was meant to mean in the federal public service initially. "First, we are working to promote linguistic duality within the federal Public Service. This means providing employees with better tools to serve Canadians in both official languages. It also means ensuring equal employment opportunities for Francophones and Anglophones. Second, we are constantly improving access to services in our two official languages. Canadians have come to expect high-quality services from their government, services that are fast and efficient. They also have a right to expect services in the official language of their choice in the offices that have been designated bilingual. Finally, we are working with official language communities living in minority situations to promote their healthy and vibrant development. Over the years Canadians have recognized that diversity is a blessing. We need to celebrate diversity and ensure that these communities are given the support they need not only to survive - but also to flourish." 21. Everthing is pretty well outlined here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Omar_Khadr#Ac...s_against_Khadr Accusations are: "The Americans claim to have found a video-tape in the ruins that shows Khadr planting mines. They say that while being interrogated at Bagram Air Base, Khadr confessed to entering a US occupied section of Afghanistan, to gather surveillance intelligence on the local airport." Charges: "[edit] First round of charges on November 7, 2005 Khadr was charged with murder for his actions against the squad inside the compound near Khost, Afghanistan. The charges against Mr. Khadr allege that his father, the late Ahmed Said Khadr, a Canadian Islamic extremist, was a close friend of Osama bin Laden and his Egyptian deputy Ayman al-Zawahiri, and that Omar Khadr also was acquainted with Mr. bin Laden, the Al Qaeda leader.[10] On November 9, 2005, the Globe and Mail reported that the United States had informally indicated they would not seek the death penalty in Omar's trial. [11] On December 1, 2005 the officers were appointed to the Guantanamo military commission that would judge Khadr.[12] The charges Khadr faced in 2005 were:[13] [edit] Charge 1:Conspiracy Omar Ahmed Khadr did, in and around Afghanistan, from on or about June 2002 to on or about 27 July 2002, willfully and knowingly join an enterprise of persons who shared a common criminal purpose and conspired and agreed with Usama bin Laden, Ayman al Zawahiri, Sheikh Sayeed al Masri, Muhammad Atef (a/k/a Abu Hafs al Masri), Saif al adel, Ahmad Sa'id Khadr (a/k/a Abu Al-Rahman Al-Kanadi), and various other members of the al Qaida organization, known and unknown, to commit the following offenses triable by military commission: attacking civilians; attacking civilian objects; murder by an unprivileged belligerent; destruction of property by an unprivileged belligerent; destruction of property by an unprivileged belligerent; and terrorism. 22. Is it just me, but are generalizations and slurs on Anglos now acceptable here and in Quebec? August makes certain he prescribes on a regular basis his pro French assertions, relating to his believe that Canada indeed is composed of two separate important nations separate from one another, even to the point of whatever the PM says can be dissected and analyzed as good or bad for Quebec independent of other provinces in Canada. I just push the ignore button and write him off as a 'want to be' separatist/sovereignist.
  23. 80% of bilingual positions are occupied by Francophones?? 80% of bilingual employees never use the 2nd language? Where do you get these numbers from? Well Peter actually 81.7% of bilingual postions are occupied by Francophones and only 11% of Francophones say they can write French most of the time. This basically means 89% of Francophones rarely use the second language French for writing purposes which truly indicates 'official bilingulism' in the federal government is nothing more than a 'make work program' for Francophones. This in turn makes federal official bilingualism discriminatory against the majority English population who cannot obtain federal employment in their own majority English speaking language without stooping to a very corrupt federal hiring policy. http://www.parl.gc.ca/35/Archives/committe...7-04/bloce.html
  24. I think it is time to elect another Conservative government. Mc.Guinty blatantly lied to get elected and broke virtually almost every promise. I don't think Mc.Guinty accomplished much and would not trust this lying politician on his word regarding anything as he is a master of deception, as well as being a typical socialistic Liberal who supports federal Liberal type social initiatives.
  25. Seeing how conservative and liberal alike support immigration, equalisation and the Charter, I say you have two options - start a new political party or go with the flow. I think you should back up your assertions with proof as I have never heard the Conservatives express any sentiments for the Charter. Provinces are still squabbling over equalization. Harper's immigration ideologies are not like the Liberals: http://auto_sol.tao.ca/node/view/2456 And do you really think a Liberal dominated senate would support aggressive Conservative inspired changes to the immigration act? Your out to lunch as usual.
