  1. Indeed. ............ Lord Durham's report notwithstanding - the conquering Brits, considering the context in history, treated the Quebecois with decency, post Plains of Abraham. The Acadians didn't fare nearly as well.
  2. ................. Poilievre is a talented politician - his problem was that he was geared to run against Justin - those arguments don't work against Carney. PP scares the children ........he needs a dwell period to retool to re-fool - give him time. Couldn't believe the statement Carney made in an address on the Plains of Abraham recently - a gaffe, sheer ignorance or a message as p/o a strategy? Bold does not describe it ..........he's basically written off Quebec. So un-Liberal.
  3. World War I was a global conflict ............. a new experience - total war - technological war.
  4. Epstein Files? Welcome to the Golden Rule - those with the gold rule! Surprising Ghislaine Maxwell is still breathing tho! A confirmed liar, constantly in peril of perjuring herself she is in a unique position to negotiate. .............. catered meals, personal hair stylist, day strolls outside the wire, pet dog (4 legged), unlimited communication are all a result of skillful negotiation on her part......woman is no fool, she learned from the best, Jeremy's suicide (??) notwithstanding. Any testimony she gives whether true, partly true, bare face lie, exaggeration ........... gives tremendous political clout to either the black or white cat. .................. pure political gold. Ghislaine - If I wuz u I wouldn't overplay my hand ........... likely too late tho.
  5. Despite being deeply unpopular, Harper called for the election that defeated him, No doubt believing that he could win easily against what he considered an upstart, Trudeau. His decision, supported by the Party apparatchik, led to Canada being saddled with ‘said’ upstart in what has been described as one of the darkest periods in Canadian political history. The apparatchik, in successive elections, produced candidates in opposition of such mediocre quality that Trudeau was guaranteed successive wins. Suppose it would only be fair to mention how Trudeau got ahead of his skis as well – however the Liberal apparatchik spoke truth to power and convinced him that he was kryptonite politically! PP was a slam-dunk to win against Trudeau. However, reluctantly, Trudeau stepped aside – the door hitting him on the a$$. U know the result. The point is, don’t condemn a political hack for winning ……….. blame the apparatchik for giving the electorate poor choices……….. stupid choices ………… conspiracy choices (Biden, Harris).

  7. Ukraine was recognized as an independent country by the U.N. on Dec 2, 1991. This recognition was affirmed by a majority of Ukrainians. What more needs to be said? You seem to be to blaming the victim and not the aggressor? Ukraine has every right to defend it's sovereignty .......... and the determination to not wanting to live under the jackboot of an authoritarian regime? Israel I'm sure, listening to arguments criticizing Ukraine's right to exist must experience a feeling of deju vue?
  8. I'm assuming that you wouldn't buy the spin that Venezuela election technology was used to rig the 2020 election for Biden? And that Maduro was kidnapped and offered silver (clemency) or lead (life) if he confessed or not to the conspiracy? No? Would pursuing this result in (1) instance of doubt re: the election process for the midterms / General? IF the midterms result in the Political Left winning the House by a slim margin - several seats? And doubt re: legitimate voting protocol is in play? Standby!
  9. ....................... Carney facing the existential threats facing Kanada - be grateful it's not Trudeau.
  10. ........ surely ur not implying that there is any danger of the political Right losing the House? That would be very premature .......... and depend on a lot of variables. There is a strategy in play -
  11. ....according to reports the perp was a troubled soul for his entire life - troubled became rage. The experts have postulated that initially he might have been a rebel without a cause. He found it, using societies strong heterosexual beliefs as an excuse. ........... pi$$ into the wind? This guy was extremely dangerous - his rage with his life, society, rejection fueled it. Public schools are pressure cookers - it was the environment he knew best Of course it was his target. There is no defense.
  12. My point is that a weak political hack in leadership will continue to result in a weak political hack in opposition. Harper, Sheer, O'Toole Today, the Conservatives have the strongest leader they've fielded in decades. But he does not have the international stature on the international stage. Canada, today, needs the international stage. ya think?
  13. dude, In terms of human nature we are not a long way from WWII............, WMD notwithstanding. ............. the internet / social media has destroyed trust and introduced misinformation by leaders on a scale that is difficult to quantify. 'Don't believe everything you read on the internet' / Abraham Lincoln
  14. They say that hindsight is 20/20 - who would argue? In hindsight, I believe those elections u quoted were right out of the dictator's Sudetenland playbook - tainted and illegitimate. In hindsight what should have been done post Crimea is for Europe to turn Ukraine into an armed camp. Historically making the juice not worth the squeeze keeps the dogs of war at bay........... it works and has proven to work. I believe Ukraine would consider an extended armistice a 'win'. Of course Russia rejected it. ................ Russia is governed with something resembling Al Capones HQ in Cicero, Illinois. Why does Ukraine fight on? Did Europe fold under the onslaught of the Nazi. Did the United States fold under the weight of imperialism? Did Vietnam fold under the weight of imperialism, corruption and hegemony? Did China? Did Russia itself - post revolution? Those that criticize Ukraine should at the least respect their struggle, acknowledge the sacrifice and simply admire the leadership. Putin will not pull in his horns until he faces opponents that are willing to 'punch up' or the Trump administration is defeated in Congress. In terms of strategy it is sound and that is the reason he will not negotiate an extended truce. oh yeah, there's China ............ Taiwan?
  15. ............... arguably Justin Trudeau would disagree ........................ ditto Biden/Harris
  16. Mediocre elected political leadership can usually be attributed to less than mediocre opposition.
  17. Russia today has no policy that denies them 'first use' re: nuclear theatre or greater, weapons. That's with the assumption being that, 'there is honor amongst thieves'. The squib that would trigger Russia's use of such weapons would be in defense of what they consider their territory. On 30 September 2022, Russia, amid an ongoing invasion of Ukraine, unilaterally declared its annexation of areas in and around four Ukrainian so-called, oblasts - Donetsk, Kherson, Luhansk and Zaporizhzhia ..... a nod to Crimea. Just to be clear they consider this geo-conquest, Russian territory. Set piece battles generally favors the defense (WWI) - Russia is the aggressor and the attrition rate of it's own forces is appalling due to poor leadership, training, moral, losses, modern weapons. Putin's rhetoric: 'many of you may die, I am willing to accept your sacrifice'. Depending on the Midterms and negotiations following, Putin could very easily commit to tac nucs, in defense of the homeland. (aka annexed territory) As the World evolves into a new world order ........ China and the U.S. would concede to Russia's demand, for concessions of their own. Light the fuse, baby. Those that study history cannot fail to make a comparison to the Munich Agreement, 1938.
  18. I can't imagine a larger podium ..............
  19. Hamas was strategically placed amongst the civilian population ................the bombing was also strategic. The greatest examples of strategic bombing occurred during WWII - culminating in the crowd pleasers (literally) Warfare has not changed ........... will never change .......... it will only get more .......'strategic'. Condemn Israel if you feel the need, but at the same time deep down realize that they are the ones with skin in the game (for now) and they know how to play it - as, given the chance does Iran and their acolytes.
  20. Pretty sure the ICE campaign in Minneapolis was an unmitigated political disaster. The strategy was correct the execution was a political windfall for the Left They say the road to hell is paved with good intentions. Tom Homan is the right herald, at the right time, with the correct message which is .............. get the fk out of Minneapolis Stop the bleed in terms of politics .......... to win a war in Minneapolis and lose the War in terms of midterms is asinine. Note to ICE: Get in the corner and lick ur nutz. Consider reassigning Kristi Noem ....... this beotch lacks any degree of leadership ....and most esp leading men.......... what is totally laughable is she is tasked with convincing a Nation. OMG
  21. ............... how the U.S. would view any Province in negotiation - they'd be foolish not to.
  22. ............. the beotch reminds me of Benazir Bhutto.
  23. China sees things very clearly and acts accordingly. What China sees is the Global Economy and an expanded Silk Road. It's all business with China - its not personal. Likely we'll all be dialing 1 for Chinese in the not too distant future. Russia will likely become a pseudo Chinese puppet -
