I'll play the Devil's advocate and say that considering Canada's size, the relatively small population and the bottomless watershed of natural resources it's future in terms of economy can only continue to grow. The problem for Canada is likely in terms of sovereignty - not the south, the north............ specifically sea routes. The country will need (crucial) to ally itself to defend it's north (diplomacy) Likely that country will be the U.S. because it makes sense - but that is not a slam dunk either. On the other hand, the upper class tends to exhibit “arrogant political behaviour” this class resists democracy - change, which can provoke extreme reactions from the lower class............. extreme reactions are in the realm of the political, civil unrest, etc. The middle class is the buffer between the two democratic ideologies. Generally, the middle class determines the winner in any general election. As the middle class shrinks, the extremes between the Left and Right become more prevalent. Arguably this will escalate to the point where a democracy with a shrinking middle class determines either an extreme Left or extreme Right affiliation. Fascism or Communism ............. Dictatorship. Germany 1933 is a prime example. .................. Fascism Communism, Dictatorship.
