  1. Lol... Carney's ex-company. What part of ex-company don't you understand?
  2. Rather than this..... why don't you just answer Moonbox' question? I'm curious to hear as well...
  3. Try reading.... Climate change/weather events, disrupted supply chains, high energy costs and wars are driving reasons for food inflation...globally. Yes, youth across the globe as less happy than they were years ago, and social media is playing a big role in that. You really are that uneducated aren't you.... the entire report was about social media, not a small part.
  4. I absolutely didn't expect an answer, but it would have been fun to see for a good laugh... And a friendly wager I'll be getting the 'Derp', or 'loser', or whatever comeback he'll think of very shortly.
  5. Feel free to read for yourself.... https://economics.td.com/ca-grocery-price-inflation Copy and paste boy who neglects to understand why those grocery costs have risen.... Mom, look what the liberals have done! πŸ˜‚
  6. You apparently didn't read my first reply.... Must have been confused with the FX and tariffs on the imported food we procure. Okee dokie....
  7. I'm good with it... doesn't me. You, not so much.... I like things the way they used to be too but life changes. You'll be seeing a lot brown come into the US as time goes on.
  8. Rather than listening to Poilievre's usual rhetoric and/or finding information from your X and Facebook buddies, give research and reading a try. It really does help.
  9. The industrial carbon tax add's about one half of one percent to the price of food. Anything else? It's hard to blame Trudeau when the same food affordability issues are being felt in every developed country, isn't it...
  10. What business is Carney and the Trump family in together? Now you're upset about Canadian politics. So conflicted...
  11. 1. It will still be in progress as long as he's there. 2. I already said I agree with getting illegals a path to citizenship or deport them. You had a problem with brown, which many immigrants are.
  12. 1. That's not correct. The economy was the number one concern with US voters in the 2024 election and fair to say, he's done nothing to improve it, while actually making it less affordable. I have no problem with his America first policy. It is going down the road of America standing more alone though which will is not in your best interests. 2. Immigrants are immigrants. White, brown, black or yellow doesn't matter...
  13. For the same curiousity, I was actually looking forward to the response of qualifications. Instead you get 'Derp'... May have been a good laugh, but on cue you get the same old schtick...
  14. Your TDS is off the charts. Barron Trump.... you've got to be freaking kidding! What a fool you are!! πŸ˜‚ Sorry to disappoint though but nothing has been cancelled, except tariffs that were in place that hurt canola farmers and EC fishermen.
  15. On the contrary... I'm laughing again at your stupidity. Don't let facts get in the way Kiddo πŸ˜‚
  16. You're a perpetual loser Kiddo.... If facts get in the way, disregard them.
  17. Could be wrong but thought his mandate was affordability and immigration. He obviously hasn't done much to anything for affordability other than increasing it, and immigration is a side show for him. Biden deported more, but then again he let inmate illegals. Corruption.... is Trump's middle name. The amount of money him and his family have profited since becoming president is staggering, with more to come. It's what he does.
  18. I'm not sure he's better than nothing, let alone a democrat...
  19. Bringing TDS and gag reflexes into the same convo isn't a pretty thought...
  20. No disagreement that Harris wasn't a good candidate, but I think she would still be better than what you ended up with. The upside is that we get to watch a bit more comedy tonight with his Iran address. You just can't find this type of entertainment value easily...
  21. Ahhhh... calling out Trump for what he is has upset you. That's a shame.
  22. It's the back of a napkin Kiddo... Each time goods show up at the port they just use the iPhone picture as the signed document to allow for export or import. You lose again little man...
  23. You're not a very bright person, or... well, just not a very bright person. Maybe they just put it on the back of a napkin after a couple drinks in the bar? Probably good enough don't you think...
  24. Wow... you can't be this out of touch, are you? https://www.pm.gc.ca/en/news/news-releases/2026/01/16/prime-minister-carney-forges-new-strategic-partnership-peoples To help deliver the full potential of these partnerships, and build up our domestic manufacturing sector, Canada will allow up to 49,000 Chinese electric vehicles (EV) into the Canadian market, with the most-favoured-nation tariff rate of 6.1%. This amount corresponds to volumes in the year prior to recent trade frictions on these imports (2023-2024), representing less than 3% of the Canadian market for new vehicles sold in Canada. It is expected that within three years, this agreement will drive considerable new Chinese joint-venture investment in Canada with trusted partners to protect and create new auto manufacturing careers for Canadian workers, and ensure a robust build-out of Canada’s EV supply chain. With this agreement, it is also anticipated that, in five years, more than 50% of these vehicles will be affordable EVs with an import price of less than $35,000, creating new lower-cost options for Canadian consumers. Agri-food and trade are foundations of the longstanding relationship between Canada and China – and China continues to be our second-largest export market. To renew and strengthen that relationship, Prime Minister Carney and President Xi secured a preliminary agreement-in-principle with landmark measures to remove trade barriers and reduce tariffs: By March 1, 2026, Canada expects that China will lower tariffs on Canadian canola seed to a combined rate of approximately 15%. China is a $4 billion canola seed market for Canadian producers, and this change represents a significant drop from current combined tariff levels of approximately 85%. Canada expects that Canadian canola meal, lobsters, crabs, and peas will not be subject to relevant anti-discrimination tariffs from March 1, 2026, until at least the end of this year.
  25. Since 2019 our food prices have climbed only slightly more than those in the US, and we've only surpassed them in the last year. We import a lot of our food, have a weak dollar, and had retaliatory tariffs on some items until last fall. The cost of food is a challenge in every developed country... weather events/climate change, disrupted supply chains, high energy costs, and wars like Russia/Ukraine have a bit to do with it...
