Well, it costs money to travel the world but seeing that she doesn't speak French, let's get her that severance package and move on. We'll save a few bucks in travel expenses along the way too which will lessen the severance hit.

I didn't vote. You can easily find the liberal position on the votes that will much better explain their positions than I could. The AC CEO isn't being called to Ottawa by the liberals. The uproar started with Quebec politicians and media (surprise) and took its own life from there. The AC CEO should have thought this out better knowing you're a national carrier, but more so because one of the pilots was from Quebec. Getting called to Ottawa is a waste of time.... quick phone call to tell him to use his head next time speaking in French is needed, then move on. Also don't care if Mary Simon, or Paul Simon can speak French. Neither can I but got along in Quebec well enough, until I didn't and needed help with the language.

I'm more inclined to say it's only for Trump's enrichment, but not many seem to care about that anymore because it's become so commonplace. On Monday ~$580 million dollars in oil futures were shorted and sold in the minutes before Trump announced on his TS site that he was delaying strikes on Iran, who denied talking to the US. Oil moved downward and some profited greatly. You'd have to be pretty naive to think Trump had nothing to do with that, and isn't profiting from it somehow.

Smart isn't your thing is it.... If you haven't noticed I have little to no interest in conversing with your stupidity. Double up on the meds and take a nap.... it will help with the anxiety you're experiencing.
