Which part of science is most important to you?
LinkSoul60 replied to Deluge's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
You have, and will have a lot more important things to deal with than DEI thanks to your guy. Incredible what one guy can do in such a short amount of time. You're slowly imploding while cheering him on along the way... -
Which part of science is most important to you?

Isn't peace and quiet the last thing you've had since your guy got back in the seat? Seems to me it's one thing after another and always with the purpose of creating political division. He's doing a great job though so keep marching in line and enjoying the walk. -
If you can't answer the questions or read what's front of you, I'm good with not engaging. Again, why the concern with China now... And if you can't read black and white of the survey, not my issue. Patience with foolish people like you has never been one of my better traits... I've tried my best over the years but have come to the realization that it's not going to work for me. I've also learned that sometimes names are appropriate.... it's like a 'if the shoe fits' kind of thing to better get someone's attention, or just calling a spade a spade. Put your big girl pants on. No need to blow off steam... Golf in a while is a better form of relaxation.

Which part of science is most important to you?
LinkSoul60 replied to Deluge's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
I enjoy the phycological science and curiosity of trying to figure out how and why your minds work like they do. I'm just an amateur though so trying to understand that on my own is way over my head.... -
Then why not post something that's current, instead of from 2024? I'm sure he's posted more investigsative reporting theories since then hasn't he...

No you're not free. You're a subordinate to Trump's view of the world. -
Lol... so you agree then that your idol is a serial lier. The logical questions would be how do you know when he's telling the truth, and how/why do you idolize someone with the amount of character flaws this guy has, but those would be tough to answer... It's non-stop so I can't keep up with it.... A simple "Trump's lies' google search has this and countless other pages you that you can look to see those for yourself, which I guess you're not interested in doing. Below is just from his year-end presidential address; But above all, the Republican president did what he always does: He lied uncontrollably. In fact, his speech was so littered with brazen falsehoods that it was rather easy to come up with a top 10 list. #10: “Already, I’ve secured a record-breaking $18 trillion of investment into the United States.” It’d be great if that were true, but it’s not. #9: “Our country was being invaded by an army of 25 million people.” That total wasn’t even close to being true. #8: “I was elected in a landslide.” No, he wasn’t. #7: “The price of a Thanksgiving turkey was down 33% compared to the Biden last year.” Is he still peddling this nonsense? Evidently, yes, though it’s still not true. #6: Trump said the Republicans’ “One Big Beautiful Bill” passed this year included, among other things, “no tax on Social Security.” That might sound nice, but that wasn’t actually a part of the far-right package. #5: “When I took office, inflation was the worst in 48 years, and some would say in the history of our country.” Trump says this all the time, but it’s demonstrably false. #4: “I’ve … settled eight wars in 10 months.” I get the sense that he’s convinced himself that this happened, but it hasn’t, no matter how many times he repeats the line. #3: “Gasoline is now under $2.50 a gallon into much of the country. In some states, it, by the way, just hit $1.99 a gallon.” This is a weird thing to lie about, since consumers know better, but for the record, this obviously wasn’t true. #2: “The price of eggs is down 82% since March, and everything else is falling rapidly.” The president would very likely be more popular if this were true, but it’s not. #1: “I negotiated directly with the drug companies and foreign nations, which were taking advantage of our country for many decades, to slash prices on drugs and pharmaceuticals by as much as 400%, 500% and even 600%.” This whopper claimed the top spot for me, because on top of the absurdity of the lie, one has to layer the fact this guy still doesn’t understand how numbers work. I could keep going. In the same speech, for example, Trump said he’d restored international respect for the United States, which is the opposite of what actually happened. Before that, the incumbent president insisted that during Joe Biden’s presidency, there was “crime at record levels, with law enforcement and words such as that just absolutely forbidden.” Both of these two claims were outrageously wrong. Indeed, I’m honestly not sure which is the greater challenge: chronicling all of Trump’s lies from his end-of-year speech or trying to find a claim in the remarks that was true. Either way, that the president found it necessary to lie incessantly throughout his year-end address speaks volumes about just how awful the first year of his second term has been.

Take your orange glasses off.... His threats appear to have little impact so far with Iran supposedly saying 'no thanks'. Yes he's taco'd, twice now. Why did he just extend the last deadline he gave them? My 2 cents... he caved again because he's between a rock and a hard place and buying time with no easy way out now. Yes, I know who they killed but that doesn't what Iran still is and will be when the US goes home. Killing the known leadership has probably created more problems for them. This wasn't thought out very well....obviously.

If you approve, then what's the problem.... because it's a liberal government. You don't believe the accounting, you don't understand that planting tree's are part of bases' related upgrade expenses, you haven't bothered to look that the military received pay increases in November, you don't understand that military procurement isn't like Amazon and picking equipment and weaponry from a magazine to ship the next day, and you certainly can't back things up factually by saying "I don't think that's what happening by and large".

By definition 'Lying' means making an intentionally untrue statement. Your idol does that a dozen times a day... You can type out another 5 pages, it doesn't matter.... the list of Trump's lies are never ending and easily validated. Fortunately for him he's found a following of naive and gullible people like you that believe him.

Didn't think I'd say it of FB posts, but they're right.... 4 weeks in and Trump still hasn't said what the final objective is, he's Taco'd twice, he's panicking for a way out to save face, and all the while looking to profit from Iranian oil and insider trading when the markets pop after this concludes.... or at least this part of it. That's what happens when you have a guy and his secretary of war sidekick playing GI Joe. Then US is spending billions on this war while Iran is profiting billions from selling it's oil and charging transit fee's to go through the strait. Mind you they have been kicked real hard that will take a lot of years to recover from. The FB comments you got were fairly accurate...

If you had a half a brain you would find the humour in your response.... Okay, maybe Biden did lie but are you trying to say that your orange idol doesn't? The guy has the art of lying down to a science. Maybe Biden was also a hate monger but he sure was quiet about it. Your orange idol, not so much and seems to be quite proud that he's turned the DOJ into his personal retribution department. How naive and gullible can you be?

Right Wing Religion and Politics in the US
LinkSoul60 replied to Barquentine's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
It's obvious... a brain wasn't used to come to that conclusion. -
This is from 2024. Any recent news? Not sure if you're following on X but the US launched investigations into 60 countries to see if they've bought forced labor products from China. The one and only reason is Trump's tariff policy getting shot down so he needs to find any angle now. My guess is that his lackey's will find 60 countries have bought forced labor product... When did you become more sensitive to this... after the recent trade agreement?

Your friend doesn't have a great memory. It costs $75. Canada isn't encouraging travel to China, or maybe I've missed those travel ad's... The US isn't warning citizens not to travel there. They have an 'increased caution advisory'. China can check your laptop or phone, so can and so does the US CBP. That's a bit to pull out of your áss... What's your point?
-
You go from a pïssing match between the two to the liberals reversing the China agreement of EV's being sold here.... Not going to happen. Would be a real bad decision on our part and a huge kick in the shorts for Prairie canola farmers.

You missed the words 'current projections'....meaning it's a forecast, not a factual number PBO noted that while NATO military spending targets are 2% of GDP, current projections, when corrected for GDP forecasts, suggest military spending will only reach 1.58% of GDP by 2029-30. Suppose you have to go with the NATO report given it's in dollars today, not in 2029-30 'projected' dollars.

Canada's (In)Justice System AKA "Thanks, Bill C-75!"
LinkSoul60 replied to Goddess's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
With the insight you have, I wouldn't expect any other explanation for your imagined thoughts. Are you really that thick though... okay fine with your AI summary, but it has nothing to do with this particular report. I'm done with this and you.... -
I didn't think Biden was there strongest president but what he had that Trump never will is class, morals and decency. What did he do.... managed the pandemic and mess that Trump left him, doubled the number of people who had access to affordable healthcare, and improved the economy with 2.23M jobs created.
