  1. Yes, an amazing accomplishment in one of the safest conservative ridings in Canada. Indeed, it sure seemed those 15 people at his acceptance speech were excited. All this for only $2M tax payer dollars....priceless!
  2. Agree, the union will be fined. Disagree on the ordering back. Agree or disagree with the decision but it's within the law. I worded as 'characterized as an essential service' because it is essential to our economy, but the planes can't fly with people on them if the flight attendants aren't there. And no, I'm not anti-union.
  3. We seem to have a lot of elections. Could swear some guy with the same name lost one a few months back...? Your boy needs a new act so let's see if the nice lessons have paid off. Doubt it though...
  4. It's about all people have had to talk about for the last 10 years and counting....liberals. Why don't you conservative righties find a capable leader that the country can get behind first before we have people signing up for IQ tests.
  5. Wasn't aware that plane had to be moving. End of the day it's not important to me, but am curious now to see how this shakes out. Hadju said an investigation is being launched into the claim of unpaid work to see if their pay meets the requirements of Canadian Labour Code. So in other words.... don't buy AC right now 😂
  6. This from a guy who had to google how to spell IQ.... Priceless! If an IQ check-up was required you'd have been admitted to critical care long ago....
  7. It's not weird at all. It's how we pay for police, fire, emergency services, schools, parks, recreation and culture, water, garbage removal, etc... You (or the bank) owns the home, but pay for these services. Not sure what happens if you refuse to pay property taxes but doubt they would 'take' your home but rather put a lien on it or have you apply to defer your taxes with interest until you can pay them, or the home is sold.
  8. I understand the pay when doors are closed that I gather is industry practice but haven't dove into enough. Interested to see what comes of this, which could change the airline attendant industry if it does. That sucks.... My wife and friends have been in Scotland and Ireland for 2 weeks and couldn't get out of Dublin on AC so booked Delta back through Minneapolis to YVR right now. They bought insurance through tour group they went with that she said will be covered? It's only 2 days of strike but the cost and inconvenience is staggering, and they won't be back to full operations for another 7 - 10 days.
  9. You just make sh*t up as you go along don't you.... But to answer your question on polling numbers, 64% approval rating. You also probably want to read a bit more about what the economy is actually doing. It's a bit of a mixed bag, but certainly not plummeting.... Mark Carney Approval Rating: Latest Insights and Observations Personal Approval & Leadership Perception Carney enjoys broad popularity on a personal level: Overall job approval: 64% Perceived as a strong leader: 68% Decisive: 64% Honest: 63% Likeable: 70% Shares values with Canadians: 61% Cares about “people like you”: 64% https://www.opinionsandratings.com/top-stories/mark-carney-approval-rating-polls
  10. Interested to see how this plays out... both the terms of agreement and Hadju launching investigation into the unions claim of working with no pay. In the meanwhile there a lot of people out a lot of money and convenience because of this.
  11. Not when you're characterized as an essential service and ordered back to work by the CIRB
  12. Factual conversation....really. I asked a simple question and made a simple comment which turns into - 'The irony of a left4rd donkey talking about hypocrisy. Did you really not know? STFU about ever voting conservative, you're as much of a libt4rd cultist as MH. And Carney is doing as well as could possibly be expected, right, cultist? If I haven't said it already, STFU, idjit.' No, my insults are not baseless, they're well earned. Congrats!
  13. Yep, got it.... 'I don't know, just had to say something'
  14. Where did you cite BC's 'inept forestry management'? No need to get pissy with me if you can't talk beyond a riddled sentence....
  15. Are you aware that the 10 warmest years on record globally have been the last 10 years? Probably just an outlier..... The warmest years on record globally, according to NOAA, are: 2024, 2023, 2015, 2016, 2019, 2017, 2020, 2018, 2022, and 2021. All of the top ten warmest years have occurred in the last decade, from 2015 to 2024. Yes, a record rainfall on Aug 15 that doubled the previous record will lessen fire risks.
  16. So in other words.... 'I don't know but I'm a conservative so supposed to say something'
  17. No, Canadian voters said so. CBC just reported the results.
  18. You have trouble staying on task don't you... First it's covid, then it's Trudeau, then it's your usual liberal rhetoric. So getting back to the task.... what irony? And seriously..... why do you think I'd embellish a comment on voting across the spectrum on this random forum? If you do, then you take this far too seriously....
  19. So that's your retort DF? Holy f*ck.... hopefully your helmet is done up tight before going outside.
  20. Totally agree. The now typical political divisivness appears to be part of America's very core. For the life of me I can't see how that benefits the country and the people short or long time. In fact, it has and will continue to lend itself to a lesser global leadership position and weaker ally relationships as the divisiveness grows.
  21. Republican or democrat... there is something wrong when officials are allowed to choose their voters rather than voters choosing who represents them.
