  1. Carney has been negotiating for AC? Typical nonsense.... I take no side in this impasse but seems to me no charter rights have been trampled given our Canadian labour code. AC carry's far too many people and critical supplies that our economy and people depend on for it to be grounded. They've been negotiating since March and are not close, say they're at an impasse, so need an arbitrator involved. If the flight attendants have the strong case they say they do then I'd trust the arbitrator would recognize that in the binding settlement.
  2. Yes, I understand your position. I disagree with it but do understand. It's only your opinion that the government has overreached here so again, you can hold them accountable the next election. I don't live in NB nor do I follow your news but will only assume there are many on the opposite side of the fence believing what the government has done is the right thing. It's a fact of life you can't please everyone, but they're doing what they think is best.
  3. I'm talking AG in particular has come back non-stop saying the same thing you are now... Yes it's a discussion board and yes, Ive said what Ive said til I'm blue in the face. I don't see this as a big deal in any shape or form and honestly, find it comical and sad that people are sitting around complaining about it when people have lost their homes and livelihoods. So what's your problem with this.... you can't go hiking or you're a step closer to authoritarianism?
  4. Anecdotal only with no facts to substantiate, but don't most people think they're underpaid? Firefighters I'd debate.... but medics, nurses, doctors I agree they are underpaid given the critical services they provide. Therein is the reason they should not be allowed to strike....they provide critical services that are essential to our well being. If not for them people die.
  5. What exactly do you and AG want me to say....? You can talk about every activity known to mankind and it's not going to change the fact that your provincial government is doing what they think best. If you don't like, which obviously you don't, vote for another party your next election. Like I've said to AG.... if it's hiking you miss I'm sure you'll be back to it after the rains lessens the fire risk. If it's the typical right wing concerns that your freedom of rights is being taken away, I'm sure they're not and know you'll be living in the same democracy next week that you have your entire life with all your right intact.
  6. 'I bet' is not an argument, it's a comment that you guys/gals would also likely be complaining if in fact someone did get injured and wasn't able to get the emergency services they needed in due time. Of course your side would complain about the government not doing their job like you're complaining here while they are doing their job, whether you agree or don't agree with their decision. I understand you haven't been injured hiking, but other people have. Not much more I can in this thread that I haven't already said repeatedly....they made their decision and you have to live with it. And no, it's not getting you one step closer to authoritarianism.
  7. Sure, everyone has a reason and excuse for losing. He lost the election and seat in a riding he held for 20 years.... ouch! You can talk all day long about hypotheticals but at the end of day....they're just hypotheticals because Conservatives haven't been in power for 10 years going on more. And no, I haven't checked out Rebel or Juno News.... 😂 It is what it is.... Mr Carney is your Prime Minister. I'm sure you're right.... Poilievre will/should win the by-election. A very ballsy decision though by Poilievre to run in the safest Conservative riding a couple thousand miles from the riding he lost. Ballsy or embarrassing....??? Rant away 🤡 It's quite funny!
  8. PET was during my younger years and little to no interest in politics. I'll take your word for that because of PET's tenures and PP's recent failure. Yes, Carney lives in a different world than most Canadian's, as many/most PM's generally have. That's okay.... he just needs to understand the ordinary Canadian.
  9. 1. You're people reading skills need some work.... 2. Why does the right like divisiveness so much? Is it an anti corruption and crooks or a democrats thing pf why you want to see Obama and Hillary persecuted?
  10. The funny thing is, I'd bet it's a lot of the same people who would be complaining if there were no bans and someone actually did suffer or worse because of a lack of emergency response. I'm sure there would be an uproar because they didn't do their job. Can't make everyone happy. I'll bet that very shortly after the provinces receive a noticeable amount of rain the ban will be lifted and then it's life back to normal, except for the people who lost homes or livelihoods to the fires. The few asshats is the problem though isn't it. Asshats everywhere and if it's fact that asshats cause the vast majority of your fires. Like most things....it's the few asshats that ruin it for everyone. You guys complained about the government overreach during covid too. Best I'm aware though is that after covid ran its course and restrictions were lifted the federal government hasn't tried anything further to be an authoritarian state? Guessing the same will be the case with your province and NS.
  11. Then chalk it up as a moral victory. It's so easy to trigger you 😂 You're always consistent too....need to get angry, take a couple kid shots, then make yourself feel good about your online debate champ status. Hopefully one day I can get to your level little man...
  12. You know the facts, and no it wasn't when Carney was the liberal leader. Fact remains it was a 24% poll lead that he lost, as well as losing to a first time politician. A double kick in the ego. We've talked about this before... moral victories are for losers.
  13. Why do you assume they're my hero's... I think Trump's a POS but that doesn't mean I automatically think all democrats are heroes. I did like Obama and Bill Clinton though. I'm not so sure if it will be priceless or pathetic. Trump's hell bent on retribution and his never ending petulance of going after anyone he dislikes isn't all that becoming of a president, or a country. That's who he is and what they've become though so have it... Doubt anything will come from it other than just another thing to deflect attention from his latest gaffe.
  14. But we're not using the logic of banning people from driving cars, we're using the logic of keeping people out of tinder box woods for their and others safety. I agree with it, but I didn't put the ban in place so you're complaining to wrong guy. But all the complaining aside for a minute.... has not being able to go into the woods or on the water this past week been manageable and not causing too many problems I'd hope? I don't know your government well, but trust they're not on a clear path to authoritarianism, or are they...?
  15. lol... That's why Trump and his pathetic republican cronies are touching this. They don't care about democracy, only themselves.
  16. So true.... 😂 Poilievre had this one in the bag and was happily moving along until Trump and then Carney showed up. For a career politician you'd have figured he would know how to pivot away from the political schtick he was using and that people were turned off with. Not a smart guy. Next Conservative leader up please... Ford definitely knows how to play the game. He's not your typical politician and maybe that's why Ontarian's and people from outside the province like him. Poilievre couldn't have copied him though simply because of the likability factor which Ford has, and Poilievre doesn't. Interested to see what Ford's political future is....but to Herbie's comment, the Tories should be knocking on his door to find out.
  17. Yes. By its definition, it's innately bad.... ger·ry·man·der /ˈjerēˌmandər/ verb gerund or present participle: gerrymandering manipulate the boundaries of (an electoral constituency) so as to favor one party or class. achieve (a result) by manipulating the boundaries of an electoral constituency. "a total freedom to gerrymander the results they want"
  18. What's sad to watch, and tiring, is your non-stop drivel. 24% point lead gone.... An epic loss if there ever was one.
  19. Hopefully it's not contagious... 97% have turned into activists while the 3% have stayed true to science? That's a stretch even for you. No I don't, but you're welcome to look them up.
  20. Ford would have got my vote the election before last, and serious consideration this election even after Carney came on the scene. Alas.... they have ongoing leadership problems and chose a guy this time who is simply not likeable no matter how hard he tries.
  21. Sure he did. He's unemployed.... with very few applicable skills for the real world that he's going to need. lol... it must bite being such a hardcore conservative with so few results the past decade plus. Please refer to the WEF globalist as Mr Prime Minister. As a Canadian (albeit a poor excuse for one) show a little class jackass.
  22. 'I can assure you Mr.Canada and Taxme are not the same person.' Mr Canada was before my time here, but you appear to be rather defensive about it now..... 😂
  23. A Maple Maga trying to defend the indefensible and inept US government.... priceless 😂
