No, it is a fair criticism. Biden and his handlers selfishly robbed Democrats of a chance to have a real primary to select who they feel is the best candidate. He was finally pushed out by Democrat leaders and the donations drying up as it was apparent he could not recover from this and was not fit. If he is not fit to run, he is not fit to be the President. Now he will have 6 months of this to deal with because he didn't step down.

Not sure who you think is crapping themselves. This was literally the optimal outcome for those on the right after a Biden withdrawal. The biggest worry would be a contested convention with Biden not endorsing Harris and then getting someone else. Harris has been polling awfully. Folks on the right were hoping for just this outcome, other than Biden dragging this out on his own still trying to win. And it sounds like most of the big players are all backing out of trying to contest Harris. This is great!

LOL, Biden only withdrew because the party turned against him and his donors were drying up. This was only AFTER his awful debate performance and even then, he spent several weeks forging on trying to remain as the candidate. If this was some kind of noble selfless action, he would have dropped out before the primary, not after he was dragged out kicking and screaming.

The President already has all the power of the executive under him. It is no dictatorship, we have 3 parts of government, checks and balances. You are the one pushing for this unelected bureaucratic dictatorship.

You need accountability. A protected bureaucracy that works to its own ends is not continuity to run a government, nor is that democracy. Voting for a leader is democracy. Voting for a leader to enact the policies and positions they want that you support is democracy. No one voted for a system of bureaucrats who think they are above an election and can do whatever they want to oppose the administration that was elected.

The civil service is not working for the country, they are people protected by a bureaucracy and they wield their power and influence. This needs to come to an end. You are the one who doesn't support democracy and supports authoritarianism when you defend this unelected bureaucracy wielding its power over us.

The civil service is already a political tool. The point Trump is making is that the administration in office should have their policy and goals followed and implemented, not an unelected bureaucracy doing everything they can behind the scenes to fight and oppose that.
