NATO has had Tanks all up in their grille since at least 2004... My geopolitical knowledge and awareness are just fine. You need to work harder on yours. NATO is a defensive alliance created to oppose the Soviet Union's aggression. NATO having tanks all up in Russia's grille is no more a threat to Russia than the United States having tanks all up in Canada or Mexico, except for the fact that Russia is the aggressor state and only has to worry about NATO because of that.

There was nothing to think was bullshit. The Russians agreed to a formal deal that did not include any of that language. You are the one ignoring that Baker himself said he didn't have that authority and the formal deal agreed to by the Russians included no such language. Negotiations are just that. Until an actual deal is signed and agreed to, they hold no weight. Putin is no way to blame?! He is the one who invaded a sovereign country. No, he didn't. He admitted he was outside the scope of his authority... nothing was ever formally agreed to.
