If I say that seatbelts have a 90% effectiveness rate at stopping death in car crashes, but more people drive so deaths go up... that doesn't mean seatbelts were not 90% effective or bad or didn't work... it means the sample size increased so more people were in that 10% not working and more people driving without seatbelts at all... Hospitalization is not the only outcome. If my position is that COVID reduces deaths and severe illness, what point is there in saying, well, look at all these people in the hospital! That doesn't show how many died...

Um, sure, the vast majority survived... as millions died. Millions were severely ill and sick. What is your point? So... screw him? Or do you admit that the COVID vaccine works well for people like him to reduce his risk or just really screw him and better for him to have died than take the COVID vaccine? Once again, millions died. COVID evolved over time, the initial strains were much more highly contagious and deadly. You are looking back with hindsight at something and ignoring how bad it was initially and how unknown it was initially. When a significant portion of the population is vaccinated, more will be hospitalized, and this has ZERO to do with rates. If 100 people are vaccinated, and 10 people are not vaccinated, if you have 40 unvaccinated in the hospital and 60 vaccinated... you would be on here trying to say look how bad this look because there are more vaccinated in the hospital! No, a far less rate of them are. This also is void of any other data such as how severe it is, death, or outcomes. It is also just a snapshot in time... on and on and on.

I’m not interested in vague generalizations about “seems” What are the facts? The facts are that Trump has been and continues to be the one President doing the most to effect deportations. Sorry that we are still a nation of laws and Trump is operating within the law. We can’t just fill planes with people and deport them, but Trump DOJ is on the cusp of getting more major decisions worked out through the courts, continuing to build detention centers, continuing to arrest and deport, etc… Plus the border remains secure with the bleeding influx being mostly stopped as well.

No, I fully support and encourage people to take the vaccine if they were in certain risk groups. Specifically to this vaccine alone, the variants of the disease became less harmful as time went on, so the vaccine became increasingly less useful as well as our understanding for its effectiveness in preventing transmission. While it was less effective as stopping the spread, it remained highly effective at reducing severe illness and hospitalization for some people.

As to the percentages, it has also been pointed out to you this is a dishonest use of percentages. As the unvaccinated continued to get sick and die… when looking at the TOTAL amounts makes perfectly reasonable sense.

No, the point is that for the vast vast vast majority of people who got vaccinated, there were no side effects. The vast majority of those with side effects they were not significant. The point being that the vaccine did far far far far more good than any bad.
