The evidence shows she was trying to flee as we can literally see her doing just that on the video as her partner is yelling DRIVE DRIVE after being given lawful orders to exit the vehicle. Whether she was trying to run down the officer is irrelevant as she accelerated towards him and did in fact hit him. Those are facts. The officer doesn't have to read her mind; he can see her accelerating towards him. Those are the facts, and enough to justify shooting in self-defense.

We have video from the officer and multiple others all showing he was in front of of the vehicle when she started accelerating and eventually hitting him. There is no if. It’s on multiple videos. he was hit. The fact that he was moving out of the way enough to be hit less only proves it would have been worse had he not had to try to move. The reason to shoot comes BEFORE being hit. Not after.
