  1. Bullshit. L was the only strain in 2019. https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2020/08/200803105246.htm Currently, there are six strains of coronavirus. The original one is the L strain, that appeared in Wuhan in December 2019. Its first mutation -- the S strain -- appeared at the beginning of 2020, while, since mid-January 2020, we have had strains V and G. To date strain G is the most widespread: it mutated into strains GR and GH at the end of February 2020. ‐------------------ It originated in the wet market because a worker contracted it and gave it to everyone at one end of the wet market. They have that pinned down to a specific booth. I'm not lying. I just know more than you.
  2. Yeah, you lost the argument. You are picking nits looking for something to stick and attacking me. You have nothing. He said it was totally natural. As I've explained, if it was totally natural then it would have had multiple originating patients. If multiple bats or dogs had had it, then they would have given it to multiple people creating multiple origin points. There was one origin point. That isn't possible with naturally occurring viruses.
  3. Why do you think those are functionally different? Especially when paired with the second quote I posted. You are trying to make this about me because you've lost this argument and you are desperately grasping at air hoping a straw will magically appear. Natural virus don't have a single origin that happens to be a lab and Fauci absolutely claimed the virus was natural. There is no denying reality.
  4. I didn't change anything. I quoted him directly. Of course a natural virus can do what you said. However, had the virus occured in nature, there wouldn't be a single point of first contact like there is with SARS-COV-2. Had it occured naturally, it would have jumped from multiple animals to multiple people. The chances that the first and only time it mutated it then jumped to humans are absurdly low.
  5. So you think the 70%+ that support these goals are retarded? Is that because you can't address the issues at hand so you resort to name calling to avoid debate?
  6. I think most Americans think it is an amazing start. The left's problem is that he is dismantling government. Uh...yeah...government is the problem, not the solution. We need a government that is there to protect us from foreign and domestic threats and not ourselves. That means minimal social programs and maximum law enforcement with minimal laws. That is what we are getting. It is beautiful.
  7. I did quote it. You quoted me quoting it. Well, duh. Lol
  8. He said it was totally natural. There is no ambiguity in that statement. None. Cambridge Dictionary totally adverb completely Cambridge Dictionary completely adverb in every way or as much as possible There is no ambiguity when Fauci said totally natural, he meant it did not come from a lab. The lab leak theory is moot if it is natural because it would have jumped outside the lab any way. The reality is that there are no cases of Sars-COV-2 jumping from animal to human other than the supposed jump at the wet market in Wuhan. None. His assertion that it was totally natural was a lie. It was later exposed that the NIH did, in fact, fund the research that led to COVID. Fauci was likely in panic mode and trying to cover up the fact that he had paid for the virus that caused the pandemic. He was part of the reason so many people died. He thought that China could cover it up. So he lied. For you to make such semantic excuses is just absurd. It is possible it was natural and a lab leak? Do you even hear yourself? No. It is not possible to be natural and only come from a lab leak.
  9. I have no other recourse. Your retort was complete bullshit. You know it was. No one is that stùpid.
  10. Republicans are always playing Russian Roulette. Either support big spending and your base hates you or support cuts and the moderates hate you.
  11. Disaster of a start? The three main issues he's chasing (border, budget and trans) have between 70% and 80% approval ratings. What makes you think there is a problem?
  12. Lmao....bullshit. You are such a dem simp. Come on man. Have some dignity.
  13. No. He said totally. Totally as in total as in totality. There is no wiggle room there. Totally eliminates the possibility for other options.
  14. In no way, whatsoever, did I confirm his point. He said Fauci never said that covid didn't come from a lab. I proved that Fauci did in fact definitively say that COVID was natural. Unless you want to argue that "totally" has wiggle room. It wasn't until later that he started changing his tune. He was inconsistent.
  15. He is saying he doesn't want to talk about the reality of the situation so he will attack the source even of the source is perfectly accurate. In his mind, if he can dismiss the source as invalid then he doesn't have to accept the reality of the situation.
  16. Weird. I was told we needed legislation to do that. I guess we just needed this guy:
  17. https://www.forbes.com/sites/jackbrewster/2021/06/16/heres-what-dr-fauci-has-said-about-covids-origins-and-the-lab-leak-theory/ April 17, 2020 Rebuffing then-President Donald Trump, Fauci downplays the possibility of a lab leak, saying the virus’ “mutations” are “totally consistent with a jump of a species from an animal to a human.” May 4, 2020 In his strongest statement yet against the theories of a genetically engineered virus, Fauci tells National Geographic in an interview he’s “very, very strongly leaning toward this could not have been artificially or deliberately manipulated” and adds all signs indicate the virus “evolved in nature and then jumped species.” ---------------------------- That took 2 minutes to find and 3 minutes to format. Surely you could have done a modicum of research before you spouted off something so blatantly wrong.
  18. Let's talk about what will likely happen if the democrats DON'T vote for the CR that will prevent a government shutdown. But first, we have to talk about what normally happens in a government shutdown. The government doesn't shutdown. The government keeps going. The military is still doing it's job. The FBI and CIA are still on the job. The Dept of Ed and everything else keep going. Some, non-essential workers are sent home....with pay. So they get a vacation. And, usually, the President makes a big show of it by closing the Washington monument, the road going by Mount Rushmore, Yellowstone and anything that might government them some political sympathy. That is not what Trump will do. Trump will have a lot of room to maneuver. Meaning he can "shutdown" the government any way he likes. If Trump stays true to his tendencies, he won't pay the non-essential workers. The non-essential workers may not even have a job when the spending bill is signed. The entire episode will play right into Trump and DOGE's hand. Non-essential workers, departments, spending and the like will be gone. But here is the thing. If they do vote for the CR, the next big spending legislation will be a reconciliation bill and that will have all the conservative boxes checked. The Dims can either not vote for the bill and force thousands of non-essential workers out of the government while taking the blame or they can vote for the bill and facilitate the Republicans passing a reconciliation bill that is full blown MAGA.
  19. I wouldn't get too big of a head from that. There is a reason he has a thread about ignoring everyone.
  20. Ah yes. The "Trump is Hitler because he's nothing like Hitler and Hitler was nothing like Hitler so they are the same" argument. And to preceed that with a texr book rule #2 use is just priceless. The irony that this guy has a thread about ignoring people that contribute nothing is not lost on me.
  21. Lmao. Ok. Now tow something. BTW, accelerating to 60 in 3 seconds is illegal im many areas. So what good does that do you? https://www.drivinglaws.org/resources/is-all-street-racing-illegal-what-is-an-exhibition-of-speed-violation.html
  22. But you aren't talking to them. You are talking to the third party that reads the debate and maybe never actually posts. They are the ones that can be reasoned with.
  23. I mean it is so very typical leftist to ignore differing views. It plays to their tendencies. They tend to ignore voter sentiment when it disagrees with them and then call that democracy or an attack on democracy depending on who won the election. They also tend to ignore data, theories and science that doesn't play to their ideology. They enjoy sounding chambers that do nothing but repeat preferred ideological theories. As a result, they would prefer to dismiss any dissenting opinions or facts by degrading those that oppose them.
  24. Lmao. Do you know how bad it has to be for the government to layoff a small fraction of its workforce and that has a substantial effect on jobs reports?
