Of course it is. And lying about it just makes your motive seem suspect, which isn't helping your case. Well then there you go. As to the rest of your nonsense the right wing is reacting to the lefts unreasonable attitudes and grooming. Leave them alone and they'll leave you alone. And kids will grow up seeing that some parents have two mommies and that some girls used to be boys, and nobody will care much. I have tried to tell you many times, the evidence is pretty clear that this isn't just some far right republicans - this is a major backlash that is considerably larger than what polls suggest the number of transphobic people would be. This is a backlash against the politics, and it only gets worse.

I know - i hear they won't even CONSIDER letting you shoot your three year old either, EVEN IF HE DREW ON THE WALL! Screw the states and human rights a;ways wanting to penalize people for murder, amirite? There's a number of problems with your statement. The first is If it really is a baby (ie a human) then we don't kill it. We don't kill human beings, period. We don't kill them in the womb we don't kill them out of the womb. Once it's a baby, a little human being, then you're not allowed to kill it even if you really want to. We can discuss when it goes from a fetus to a human, but once that happens you're basically crying that we don't allow child murder. Not much of an argument. So if the state has determined a point where it's a child, then so be it. Second - you can always go to another state where they arrived at a different conclusion. Sure you may have to drive for a few hours but presumably you won't be doing that very often. If you are then you have other issues to consider. Third - the state can't tell you anything that the people didn't first tell the state. If you don't like the laws vote in a different gov't who's willing to look at it differently. If the public won't do that, then you have to respect the democratic process a little and realize i'ts not the state, its the people. Now i happen to disagree with this law as noted but lets not pretend that there isn't some legitimacy to determining a date where you wont' allow abortions after.

Truth and facts aren't their thing. They run on fear and anger. Those two things are incredibly motivating for humans and fear and anger have been tools for manipulating the public for millenia. Get the public mad about something or afraid of something and it's EASY to get them to either take action or to give you unprecedented power to take action. ANd then they will claim YOU are the one who's afraid and angry - because then they can dismiss any argument you make as just being the fear and anger talking. They are the ultimate snake oil peddlers and holy relic sellers.

Also obstructed the police. That was part of the sentencing too. -

No no - we should just ignore all crimes. That makes more sense. Why have laws in the first place? What's the point of a constitution? Why should anyone have rights? Do away with it all - lets see how that goes for us. You're retarded. -

So you haven't heard of this 'constitution' thing? Putin is smiling at you - he doesn't think people have rights either, just as you demand they don't. -

He committed real acts. Obstructing a police officer is a real act. Sedition is a real act. What's next? If you're argument is that we shoudn't punish criminals then you can try to make that, but good luck. Well you seem to be more like putin than me so you'll have to tell me. But - the fact is that if you committ a crime in Canada you face punishment. ANd you still haven't explained why he shouldn't other than to repeat faleshoods and to try a few insults. Now - do you have a real argument or are you just a m0ron? -

judge did - now its' up to you to explain why you feel he's wrong. This is sedition. Sedition is a very serious crime and deserves severe punishment. Saying that the judges SHOULDN"T have power is dissent. -
Yes - in the face of your stupidity all i can do is laugh Only a child thinks i did. you think you get a real education at college? No wonder you're wrong so often When you grow up and graduate from high school, your mommy will help you pick something better unless you want to do a trade, which is fine too.

So private. Entirely. So there you go. And i note you ignored clinton ALSO talked to the russians and shared info when it suited her. Thats' where the supposed 'steele' dossier came from. Of course the russians lied to her as later investigations discovered but she still talked to them through her people. Sure they did. It's right in the mueller report. I'd post it but it's been posted so many times i'm tired of it. You can find it yourself. But that is what they said - no evidence or indication of it. Then he tried to say "but - trump was so bad during the investigation that the investigation itself represents a crime on his part. but that failed as well. 3 years and 69 special agents and god knows how much money .... all just to prove there's no reason to believe he did anything wrong. What a waste.

And i think that's the answer right there. It's fine to say a trans woman is different than a man. And it's fine to say trans women are a type of woman. (ish). But to say they are the same as a biological woman is false, and basing your laws and policies on lies rarely works out well (trudeau, i'm looking at you. Staaaaaaaaare )
-
He is saying people demand they're equivalent. And people are demanding that. Further - "trans women are real women" is a very popular battlecry right now. So you appear to be wrong on the face of it. Sure - ask bud lite about that. Hell - the lefties on this board spend half their time complaining about the blowback trans are facing - blaming republicans of course but it's wider than that. LOL - begging someone to stop talking? "tell me you know you lost without telling me" It's the battle cry of everyone who knows they don't have a valid point.

And what are you basing your opinion that the man was mentally incompetent on? That kind of smaks of the whole 'perp is really the victim' mentality that got us trudeau's 'Parole for everyone' law that's worked out so well. -

This guy had been released on bail. Sooooo.... Your point? That means other people need to be locked up longer - not that this guy was locked up too long. -

Putin is a big fan of ignoring the law and pretending it doesn't apply to him.' So's this guy. This guy seeks to undermine the right of every citizen. His legal defense - not his opinion but his stated legal defense - is that there is no such law and the courts have no authority. It's sedition and an attack on democracy. We USED to shoot people for that, one year seems pretty light. Especially seeing as in our system that means half a year where he only has to be locked up on the weekends. -
Judge gives man one year in jail for contempt of court
CdnFox replied to blackbird's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
So's extortion but we lock people up for that. No, it is not. It is a very actual real world crime. he interfered with police and he showed contempt for the legal system - these are real crimes with real consequences. It's not a 'thought' crime at all. After interfering with a police investigation? I've got no sympathy at all. If he doesn't believe the court has authority, then what's to stop him from harming someone the next time? If laws don't exist then he can do anything. Better he learns that lesson right now. And the fact that other offenders SHOULD be in jail longer doesn't change the fact. So anyone who has a constitution is like putin? Give your head a shake. The constitution is the will of the people and outlines their guaranteed rights and creates the framework for our nation. If you don't like it then feel free to start a seperatist movement and create a new nation, but in the meantime you can't blather about 'democracy' and then also demand the rights of the people don't matter. -

There is in a constitutional democracy. Third time asking - why is this finding excessive? -

CdnFox replied to blackbird's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Blah blah blah blah blah - a whole pile of horseshit without saying anyting. Explain why this guys' punishment is excessive or admit you're just blathering for the sake of it. There IS a constitution. There ARE laws and they are passed democratically by ELECTED officials. and every judge's decision is subject to scruitiny. So what exactly precisely specifically is the problem here? -
I agree - but lets say for a moment that trans rights are human rights. I dont think they are but - lets say. it is QUITE common in our society for two people's rights to come into conflict. the old and often misquoted and slightly erroneous idea that you have the right to free speech but not the right to yell 'fire' in a crowded theatre if it puts others at risk becaue of their right to safety and life. So - when that happens our courts and our system tries to minimize the damage to 'rights' by choosing the scenario that infringes upon rights the least. I would argue that stripping multiple women of their dignity because of their ACTUAL biological sex and placing them at risk is a greater affront to rights than one single person being forced to endure the indignity of having to cope with their natural biological sex even tho due to a mental health issue it causes them grief to do so. I'm all over converting bathrooms and such to 'dual use' (enclosed stalls which men or women can use). but their comes a point where women's rights to their dignity and safety have to outweigh the rights of the trans woman, and when one transwoman can affect a half dozen bio women or more at the same time that line shows up pretty quickly. Agreed.

When a 'general citizen' believes they are above the law and above democracy - then force is an appropriate response. As was the case here. So show me that wasn't the case here. I asked you about that and you've ignored it. It sounds like you think it WAS just and can't argue against that, but just don't like it. Facts don't care about your feelings This is NOT a democracy. And thank god - a democracy is two wolves and a sheep deciding what's for dinner. We live in a CONSTITUTIONAL Democracy which creates the framework for law and governance. This asswipe chose to ignore that and claim there is no law. Well - if there is no law then anybody can do what they like INCLUDING LOCKING UP A BLOATED GASBAG FREEMAN. You have yet to make any case at all as to why this isn't just. A person who threatens the charter rights and constitution of the people deserves far worse in my books - make your case that he deserved less or admit you're just whining.
