Vikek and Truth or Consequences
Hodad replied to Nationalist's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
^^This post demonstrates the "hole" in your sentence. Whatever you were trying to communicate here, it boils down to disregarding every scientific body and authority on the planet. Pretty farking dumb. The scientific consensus has been coalescing for over 40 years. Now you have to look far and wide to find anyone peddling heterodox science. Like smokers and lung cancer research, you don't want to hear the truth. Unlike smokers and lung cancer research, you climate deniers will let others pay the price for your folly. -
Vikek and Truth or Consequences
Hodad replied to Nationalist's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Well, let's see. You've got: 1. An op-ed from a non-scientist that has to be close to 20 years since publish. 2. An op-ed from a non-scientist published last year 3. An op-ed from a non-scientist published by an entity that's been engaged in an oil-funded climate disinformation campaign for decades. 4. A youtube jackass interviewing the same non-scientist who wrote op-ed #1 5. A youtube lecture of the same non-scientist who wrote op-ed #1 A looooooong slow clap for you. I'm not sure I could have supported my argument any better than this sorry display does. I'm taking this as acknowledgement that you have no science to support your point of view. And yet, you chase after these non-experts and dubious sources as if they have value, solely because they feed you a steady drip of convenient answers and excuses. -
Vikek and Truth or Consequences

Yeah, yeah. We know. You, with absolutely no qualifications and little reasoning to show, have decided that you know more than the entire global scientific community. They're all just "dumb fcks." Stoopid scientists! Meanwhile, over in the soft sciences they have to recalibrate the Dunning Kruger scale to accommodate folks like you. -

No, those young people and their potential are the ones who will have to live with the consequences of our failure to arrest climate change. They will be the ones bearing the cost in misery and money to adapt to new ways of living. Their rage will be directed at the aging know-nothings who arbitrarily dismissed decades of dire warnings from the entire global community of scientists because they felt mitigation would be inconvenient. They aren't as susceptible to "internet wisdom" as you old people and are engaged on the topic already. They know you're farking them over. -

Xenophobia and childish nicknames are straight from the Trump playbook. Why sink to that nonsense instead of actual reasonable objections to the candidate? He's another wealthy conspiracy-theory peddling narcissist with the political knowledge and depth of a pull-string doll, repeating trite phrases on command. Object to that. Or something else. His name has zero effect on his ability (or lack of ability) to lead the country. Do better. -

I'm sure you can provide a link to support your insinuation? Or are you just doing some very lame trolling? -
America Divided - I'm right, you're wrong
Hodad replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Indeed, we're pretty divided. One side thinks we're a democratic nation where the people vote choose the leadership via election The other side believes that the sitting vice president just gets to pick who wins. I wonder which side is in the right? It's a mystery. -
Trump should be disqualified - US Profs
Hodad replied to Michael Hardner's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
"Go with me to the Capitol right now and stop the steal or you won't have a country." ^^yeah, can't imagine how that lead to an attack. Such a casual remark. Who knows what it means? -

Republican Cities Don’t Have Less Crime
Hodad replied to BeaverFever's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
As far as I'm aware only one party in recent memory has tried to overthrow the government. Hopefully it doesn't become a trend, but Republicans show no remorse whatsoever, so who can tell. -

Tell that to the people involved in the planning (now felons), who literally, in black and white, called it an insurrection. Or the people on site who happily volunteered that they were there for revolution or a "1776 moment." -

This is honestly one of the most vivid examples of how grotesque Trump is. That the most powerful man in the world felt it acceptable to target and attack lowly election workers with no money and no power is beyond shameful. The absolute worst kind of bully. Exactly as you say, if he had a complaint he had every opportunity and resource to pursue it properly instead of sending a lynch mob to after these poor women. There is no sane world in which that is acceptable. No decent person could defend it. -
Just people wanting to be a-holes. A republic is a representative democracy. It's a democratic form of government. Unless one is a Republican post Jan 6, 2021. In that case you're obligated to argue that in this "Republic" the people certified votes don't count, the election doesn't matter, and whoever is vice president at the time just gets to decide who wins. Definitely NOT a democracy in that case.

You are a liar. As before, there was broad consensus that Shokin was corrupt. Archer's testimony was specific that Burisma did not want Shokin fired because they had him under control. That is not a circular argument. (I don't think you know what that means, BTW). Your premise is that Joe Biden corruptly did Hunter a favor by firing and honest and earnest Shokin who was investigating Burisma. This theory falls apart on even the slightest examination. 1. Shokin was not investigating Burisma- had shelved the investigation and actively sabotaged the UK investigation. 2. For these reasons (and others) there was broad, international consensus that Shokin was corrupt. 3. Per Archer's testimony, not only could Hunter not influence Joe, but Joe did the opposite of what Burisma wanted. What is so crazy about you conspiracy kooks is that the western world broadly understood Shokin to be corrupt, US Republicans included. Joe Biden was sent to apply pressure in service of US and allied objectives. You don't like Joe Biden, so suddenly and magically you claim that Shokin was not corrupt, and everyone else is. Fix your brain.

Your can probably up your count. I thought it was already north of 60, but GiuilianI lost his defamation case today after admitting a few weeks ago that he lied about the two Georgia election workers The judge mandated punitive damages which will be determined by a jury in the next phase. Not only did GiuilianI thoroughly embarrass himself and destroy his legacy for Trump, he's going to add financial bankruptcy to his moral bankruptcy.

Dude, you're a bottom of the barrel zombie if you can read that list of entities and boil it down to "Joe Biden says..." You've been shown the evidence and analysis. You can read for yourself how Shokin sabotaged the UK investigation and got Zlochevskiy's money unfrozen. You can read the a Archer testimony that Burisma itself worked with Shokin. He also wasn't investigating Burisma and hadn't been for some years. That info comes directly from the anti-corruption prosecutors in Shokin's department. He had shelved the investigation. Which aligns perfectly with Burisma saying they have him under control. You're just parroting the same debunked nonsense. You'd literally prefer to appear stupid than admit the conspiracy theory is nonsense. That's your choice. N'joy!
-
Don't you mean, the Obama administration, Democrats in Congress, Republicans in Congress, the UK, the EU, the IMF, Ukranian anti-corruption groups, the Ukranian people, the reformers in Shokin's department, AND the Burisma contingent in D.C. This was not a Joe Biden project. It was literally international. Are you just flushing that info down your mind toilet because it's inconvenient? You really think all of those entities were expending their resources and credibility to help Hunter make an unimpressive amount of money? Insane. GTFO!
-
Jeebus, man. I quoted the transcript directly to you. It was not US officials. Why would Archer even be talking to US officials? You are just plain lying. Of course he can't know if it's true. He can only report what he was told. But your conspiracy theory gets even stupider if you tack on Burisma lying to Archer for no discernable reason (other than that you had a crazy thought).
-
It's not splitting hairs you kook. The US government--along with everyone else--was very public about Shokin being corrupt. That's well established. You choose to believe a conspiracy instead, because crazies are gonna crazy. But it is something entirely different for Archer to testify that his own team, Burisma people, quietly told him the same thing: we want to keep Shokin. You don't understand anything in this whole sordid scenario, do you? Sad.
-
Not that you have the grace to acknowledge that you were incorrect, but I'm taking this pivot as a concession that you (finally) opened the transcript and DID NOT see anywhere that Hunter called Joe to get Shokin fired. It was a false claim. we can take that lie off the table. You're factually incorrect again. Archer was not told that Burisma liked Shokin by US Officials. The "D.C. team" is referred to several time in the session and identified as Burisma/Rosemont people back in D.C. In other words, people on the Burisma side told Archer that keeping Shokin in place would be good for Burisma and firing him would be bad. Pg. 106 Mr. Archer. That was like -- that was a narrative that was -- that was told to me by various of the D.C. team, that the firing of Shokin was bad for Burisma because he was under control. Great, then you'll have no problem providing a citation for that claim.

This is the kind of shit that grows in Trump's "post-fact" world. Everything is corrupt except that which is blessed by their god/king. I wish that were a significant exaggeration. Unfortunately, it's not. It's just how far they've fallen. Objective reality holds no longer holds any attraction for them. The Republican party needs to cut off the loony extremist wing before the infection spreads.
