So the stories about kids coming home crying, I'd have to see some evidence of that. The number of trans youths spiking, the same thing happened when society became accepting of left-handedness and then again with homosexuality. In both cases, the numbers spiked, then they leveled out. It's not that anyone was being groomed, it's that these people, who have always been there, were now out of the closet. I have no doubt that the spike in trans youth will continue for a bit, then level out, just like every time something becomes socially accepted.

Yes, I'm familiar with the narrative that right-wing media made up. What's actually happening is that schools are using media, such as children's books, that have queer characters. The point of this is to let kids know that it's ok if someone is gay or trans. It's not that they're telling kids they can choose their gender. They're just saying if someone wants to change their gender, that's ok. If someone has two moms or two dads, that's ok. And really, can we stop pretending this is too confusing for kids to understand? In the words of Sophia from the Golden Girls, "she happens to like girls instead of guys, some people like cats instead of dogs." This really isn't complicated. Deflection AND smilies. You wrong AND big mad, so sad.

I know you're not going to click on them. Whenever I show you evidence, it's really for the other people here who actually care. I'm sure you've already made up your mind on this. Sex ed teaches kids about consent and how strangers shouldn't touch their private parts, so of course you're against sex ed.

Only in some cases, but it really shouldn't be. And sex ed is very useful. Kids who get molested are much more likely to report it if they've had sex ed. That's the real reason conservatives are against it. And as for LGBT representation, also extremely important, as it lets queer kids know that it's ok to be queer despite the constant anti-queer propaganda in media. Depends on the region. In rural areas, there's insane homophobia. Either way, it should be up to the student if they want to tell their parents what their sexual orientation is. It's not like this is a case of immediate danger. Yes, this is the current culture war that the Right is pushing. But eventually it will stop working and the Right will invent phony outrage over something else, like they always do.

Like I said before, the Republicans that oppose Trump are such a small minority that they don't matter. Also, how many of these Republicans will still be opposing Trump when he wins the primary? William Barr denounced Trump, but said he'll still support Trump if he becomes the nominee. That's how spineless these cucks are.

Yes, because we as a society accept that the parents don't have 100% control over their own kids. In certain cases, we say no, you can't do that. So this narrative that it's somehow shocking or unprecedented that schools think they know better than certain parents is just phony outrage. That makes sense. If a child is uncomfortable with their parents knowing that they might be gay or bi, the school shouldn't tell their parents anyway. If anything, it might put the child in danger if they have really homophobic parents. With the pronoun thing, it's a bit more complicated. If a child has gender dysphoria, the parents should be informed so that they can get help. Though there is also the issue of the parents possibly being transphobic. So yeah, it's complicated and I don't pretend there is a black or white answer here. But when it comes to sexual orientation, it's pretty clear that should be up to the kid. Yeah, that's always been a thing, but parents never had full say in the lesson plans. We never took a vote on if we should teach math.

Reminds me of how the creators of South Park said the show is about how kids really talk when their parents aren't around. And that was before social media. So yeah, kids have a long history of learning about where babies come from in the schoolyard. I'm actually pretty sympathetic to parents who just feel uncomfortable with their kids learning sex ed. I disagree, but I get it. But when it comes to these parents who don't want kids learning that LGBT people exist, they're just concern trolling. We already have a ton of children's media with straight couples. Kids know that human sexuality exists. These parents really just don't want kids knowing that not everyone is cishet.

Schools already have that power. If a child is being abused by their parents, schools are legally required to intervene. We also don't take a vote with everything schools teach children. Schools are going to teach that the earth is round, even if most of the parents in your district want them to teach flat earth theory.

How so? I'm saying if the conspiracy theories that the Republicans make up about Biden were true, then they should have Biden arrested. I'm talking about real socialism, not the right-wing definition of "when government do thing." You'd vote for Trump because you think it's cool that he's a serial criminal. And okay, you're entitled to your opinion. I just think it's pathetic that you're too much of a cuck to admit it. Your fellow incels on 4chan at least had the balls to admit what they believed. Source? By inventing votes? I mean, if you're anti-democracy, I guess cheating in an election is "the right thing." Even if that lie was true, it would still be whataboutism.

That's sucks. The Republicans should bring that shit to court. Yes, because under socialism the upper-class wouldn't have nearly as much wealth and power. There would still be rich people, but there wouldn't be billionaires that buy and sell politicians. Basically, the public as a whole would have more control of the government. As for communism, I can't see that realistically working. Though it might still be better than the current system. If the only choices were two criminals, then sure, I'd vote for the least bad criminal. But Trump is the only serial criminal in the primaries and if he wins, he'll be running against Biden, who hasn't had any real criminal accusations outside of bad faith conspiracy theories.
-
They could vote for Biden or even one of the other Republicans in the primary. I recommend Chris Christie because he's considerably less insane. No shit. The rich and powerful don't want to change things. That's one of the reasons I'm against capitalism. In the meantime, we can try to get money out of politics and we can refuse to support criminals.

Damn. Ah well, no hard feelings.
