“ABRAHAM DIDN’T THINK ISAAC WOULD DIE” This is not the standard belief by any means. The entire faith of Judaism is rooted in this one act. If Abraham didn’t think Isaac would die, then there was no obedience at all. Let me make sure I understand you: The Lord God Almighty made Abraham and Isaac the leaders of his chosen people… because they were clever enough to figure out that God was lying to them about sacrificing Isaac. Right? That’s why?

LBJ made it clear that the Democratic Party was not a home for racists, and it cost him politically and it cost the Democratic Party politically. GOP leaders and members alike react to racism by saying that it’s horrible but that they see and hear nothing. It’s not a subtle difference, unless you are indifferent to racism. Do you have any black friends? As them whether they feel the police protect them or scare them. Racism, my friend, is alive.

If you can’t see any difference between Republicans and Democrats, you’re in a coma.

“You can’t prosecute a man who’s running for President!”” Oh yes you can…

Two people read the same Bible. One sees reasons to love. The other reasons to hate. One sees unity. The other division. One finds prejudice. The other equality. One discovers compassion. The other, indifference. One goodwill. The other, malice. Two people, one book. One book, two views. The book is a mirror. The reflection is you.

Obama came into office with an economy in a massive Republican tailspin. Banks were declaring bankruptcy left and right. Houses were being foreclosed on all over the nation. Sellers couldn’t sell their houses. Buyers couldn’t get mortgages. The housing market had completely collapsed. Obama left office with a roaring economy! Housing market totally recovered! Banks were strong! Stock market was surging! House prices hit all-time highs! Trump left office with massive deficits! Economy was shut down! Covid was still surging because he refused to follow basic medical advice! He caught Covid after making fun of his opponent for wearing a mask.

You are utterly delusional. So… explain why the United States Treasury is covering all this up. I’ll go make some popcorn.

Point is, a $500,000 legal bill is a pretty F-info big impediment to divorce for a lot of people, wouldn’t you agree? And you’re probably thinking you could never possibly afford that, but then there’s a family home, and it gets sold, or loans taken out…. And the kids suffer a lot. Back to the discussion: Some families are better off split up and the law should make that as easy and affordable, at least when justified via criminal conviction (which is difficult to get!). And, back to our first grade kid who’s acting like an animal: He isn’t an animal; he’s a child. And he’s acting the way we expect under difficult circumstances. He’s not trying to be treated like an animal, he’s trying to express what he cannot express. On a purely financial level, dollars and cents, it is FAR FAR less expensive to tend to that first grader’s needs than to tend to the issues which will develop if not treated in first grade. Hitting other kids becomes stabbing, or stealing, or drug dealing. The costs just go up and up, all around. And all this kid needed was to be invited to some birthday parties and play dates.

Crystal Harris Pretzer https://abcnews.go.com/amp/US/sexual-assault-victim-ordered-pay-alimony-attacker-fights/story?id=16075409 By the time she ultimately prevailed, she had spent over $500,000 in attorney fees. That is why the law is changed, so that CA judges no longer have discretion if there is a felony conviction. No discretion means it doesn’t cost half a million in lawyer fees.

Oooh…. There’s plenty of ignorant and racist fools in TrumpLand. I don’t know what kind of La-La-Land you grew up in, but I grew up knowing plenty of hardcore racists and gay-haters in the USA. They’re most certainly out there, in big numbers.

I don’t think that’s a positive message at all. It might work for him; I mean, calling Mexicans rapists worked for Donald Trump. But there’s absolutely nothing positive of unifying about being “anti-woke,” because when you’re anti-something, you aren’t “for” anything. We need racial harmony, not division. Yes, the message could work but it’s not one I’d get behind because it is divisive and negative.
-
Hmm. All these important issues that matter, and you think the GOP candidate should run on a platform of racial division. We know that when DeSantis was a teacher, he taught his students to consider the “other side” in the Civil War and maybe the South wasn’t as bad as they seem. So he’s your racist baby, that’s for sure.

Ooooh! If we don’t agree with you, then we must be following Satan. Because you magically know exactly everything God thinks and says, so everybody else is a Satanist. You know who also says that? The f-ing Ayatollah of Iran. So did that shitbag bin Laden. You know who else did God’s will? Abraham. What would you call a man who murders his own son and says he did it because a voice inside his head ordered him to do it?

“Coco Chow”?

I began by saying I don’t know the family law in each of the 50 states, but in the ones I looked at, only California permits a judge to consider a domestic violence conviction. In fact, in the case of a felony conviction, alimony awards are prohibited. “Oh, just get a good lawyer,” you say. Well… sure!! Just sell your house to pay a good lawyer so you don’t have to pay alimony. It’s not corporate law, it’s family law. And, as I said, in states where judges are statutorily prohibited from considering a DV conviction, you’re SOL anyway. Beat your wife, go to prison, and collect alimony from her when you get out. Seriously, no joke.

De Santis vs Trump 2024
Rebound replied to QuebecOverCanada's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Don’t say gay! And, when Disney Corporation exercised their First Amendment right to criticize the law, DeSantis abused his authority by punishing Disney in retaliation, which is a direct violation of the US Constitution… it’s the government punishing someone for their speech. -

What would Trump have done? -
Well, maybe God lets children suffer, but you know who don’t let children suffer? Scientists. And who created scientists? God! Polio used to put millions of children in wheelchairs and iron lung breathing machines. Why didn’t God fix that? ANSWER: God did fix it! God created scientists. All we had to do was listen to them, and next thing you know… POOF! Polio is gone! Covid killed a million Americans. Probably would have been half that if we’d all listened to the scientists that God created.
