White Nationalists pose threat of Civil War.

You are so full of crap. Of course a crime is a crime, so arrest and prosecute criminals. Over and over and over and over, the media and Democrats said that there was no evidence of WIDESPREAD VOTER FRAUD in the 2020 election. I did not say that there was no evidence whatsoever. You showed a database of 1,300-ish cases of "voter fraud," but they go all the way back to 2000 and they include cases of politicians paying people to vote for them. That does not justify the disenfranchisement of ten of thousands of voters. Bottom Line: You don’t give a darn about fair elections, you just want to rig things to help your side win. Look at all the GOP gerrymandering, in one stage after another. It’s absurd. Or when the Senate says they can’t confirm a Supreme Court nominee 90 days before an election… but they can confirm one two weeks before an election. -

If you actually read the BS nonsense you post, it says things like, "We identified 30,000 potentially dead registered voters." They didn't identify that these people actually voted except in two or three cases. If you could perform arithmetic, you'd realize that with 330 million people in the country, not filtering 30,000 recent deaths is not an actual crisis, and it's not 30,000 false votes, it's hand-waving. Heritage claims 1,396 proven instances of voter fraud going back twenty-two years. And, this includes crimes such as vote-buying. In other cases, people were convicted because they took a legitimate, signed absentee ballot to the collection box. That shouldn't even be a crime. -

Study the war in Bosnia. Compare it to the disasters in Iran, Libya, Iraq, and Afghanistan. Clinton did a remarkable job there. He also balanced the Federal budget twice. Yes, Clinton was impeached because of Monica Lewinsky. Was Trump impeached because of Stormy Daniels? Isn’t it pretty much the same thing? -
Your thinking is the same as in the voting thread: You have no evidence to back up your statements. I get that right-wing sites, heavily funded by oil companies, are going nuts. But I asked you for one simple piece of evidence: What oil well has been shut down TODAY by Biden? Because an oil well that produces gas in five years does not affect the price of gas today. Price is a function of supply and demand. US supply has increased 20%, but US exports are exploding.

Once again: There is no evidence that lack of ID has resulted in fraudulent voting. If that evidence existed, I might agree with you. But voting is a Constitutional right, it has historically been illegally and unconstitutionally denied to people in America. Therefore, no restrictions on the right should be imposed without cause. And there is no cause. -
US petroleum production is up 20% under Biden, so nobody is shutting it down. You’re over-reacting. Under the best scenarios, we will have petroleum issues for another decade, but after a decade, we can be consuming far less petroleum than we can extract. I don’t see a scenario where we will stop consuming petroleum entirely. Technology changes. People freak out when it happens, because it impacts jobs. But when you look at the numbers, it’s clear that wind turbines are undergoing explosive growth. Yet we will never attain 100% wind power. Natural gas and hydro won’t be displaced because their capital costs are so high that they won’t be shuttered. And wind can stop blowing, although, statistically, it cannot stop entirely across a large enough area.

Here is the bottom line: There is no evidence that fraud occurs because of a lack of Voter ID, and election systems have been steadily moving to absentee and vote by mail. Therefore, the only purpose of Voter ID laws is to prevent legitimate voters from voting. This is not ok. -
You mean, because GLOBAL production is down? Sooner or later, it becomes obvious that petroleum itself is the problem. We suffer an economic calamity every decade because of oil. We go to war ever 15 or 20 years because of oil. We prop up horrible dictators because of oil. Oil harms our economy. Oh, and we’re destroying the environment because of oil. Time to kick oil to the curb. That’s why so many investors are putting their money in wind power. Texas, of all places, already generates 20% of their electricity from wind. Wind generation will continue to grow under Biden, because we no longer have an imbecile in the Oval Office who thinks that windmills cause cancer.

Cause Tucker Carlson says so? You realize that he filed documents in court under oath stating that his tv show is entertainment, not news, and that his viewers realize that he lies to them… right? -
“Stewart Rhodes, the leader of the far-right Oath Keepers militia, and one of his subordinates were convicted on Tuesday of seditious conspiracy as a jury found them guilty of seeking to keep former President Donald J. Trump in power through a plot that started after the 2020 election and culminated in the mob attack on the Capitol.“ https://www.nytimes.com/2022/11/29/us/politics/oath-keepers-trial-verdict-jan-6.html 2384. Seditious conspiracy If two or more persons in any State or Territory, or in any place subject to the jurisdiction of the United States, conspire to overthrow, put down, or to destroy by force the Government of the United States, or to levy war against them, or to oppose by force the authority thereof, or by force to prevent, hinder, or delay the execution of any law of the United States, or by force to seize, take, or possess any property of the United States contrary to the authority thereof, they shall each be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both.

If you have your bank accounts and you don’t drive, you do not need to have a valid state issued ID. I have one, and you have one, but a lot of people don’t. And they expire. -

Yes. But she would have to pay for that ID, and if the only reason for purchasing the ID is to vote, then the ID constitutes a poll tax, which is unconstitutional. -

What if your grandmother decided she no longer should drive, so she doesn’t renew her drivers license? Now she doesn’t have a valid ID anymore. Should she be prohibited from voting? The reason why I believe voter ID laws are unconstitutional is this: These laws disenfranchise voters, particularly the elderly and those too poor to own cars. They prevent people from voting, which is a constitutional right. I don’t need an ID card to speak freely, do I? **IF** voter fraud was a problem which was causing widespread election fraud, and **IF** voter ID laws were the least invasive remedy to prevent voter fraud, then YES, I would agree with that. But that is not proven, and I believe the courts should insist on such proof before permitting measures which disenfranchise voters. -
CAN YOU READ? The blue state article you linked to said that Catcher in the Rye was BANNED, but their “proof” was a hyperlink to an article titled, “Catcher in the Rye dropped from US school curriculum.” If you replace one book in a curriculum with another, are you “banning” a book? Does this prohibit students from reading the book? No. Was it removed from libraries? No. I don’t know if the new curriculum is better than the old one, but I don’t think curriculum should be static, and if you add new books, you need to remove something.

Calm down. Try to deal with ACTUAL FACTS. I get that you saw Hannity or Carlson swear up and down that there’s proof the election was stolen… but where is that proof, it’s like Bush and his WMD’s… they were not there! Trump says his election was stolen, but no facts come close to supporting that claim. So you claim there were cases of dead people voting. I don’t know if that’s true or not, but I accept that some voter fraud is inevitable. HOWEVER, the fraud that’s been found has been isolated incidents of a few ballots. For example, a guy’s mother has dementia, she’s still alive, and he casts her ballot. But these types of cases aren’t enough to influence an election AND they occur on both sides of the aisle. Point is: The Democrats did not win due to fraud and there clearly was not enough fraud to move the needle. The remedies which Republicans are proposing done improve voting integrity, what they do is disenfranchise legitimate voters, and that is unconstitutional. Everybody gets to vote in America. -
Yes, California is RACIST
Rebound replied to reason10's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Really? Is the $1.3 trillion agriculture industry moving? Are Apple, Intel, and AMD moving? Is Hollywood moving? I gave you hard facts. You don’t like those facts, but they’re still facts. Per capita income in California is about twice that of Florida. The economy is three times larger. California has many more top-rated universities, and they out-rank Florida’s. Look at a periodic table of the elements sometime. Nearly two full rows were discovered at Berkeley. Plutonium. Heck… it practically spells out the address of the university… there’s Berkelium, Californium, Americium. There’s Lawrencium and Seaborgium (Berkeley professors) and Nobelium, Einsteinium, Bohrium, Rutherfordium, and more, all discovered at Berkeley. There is no Floridium, is there? -

Hey, you made an accusation: You said that dead people voted. And someone said, “Ok, we cannot create a 100% zero fraud system, BUT is there any evidence that there was so much fraud that it affected the outcome of an election?” And you did not respond. In Arizona they had a ridiculously expensive recount with those CyberNinja dudes, and the final result was that they found MORE votes for Biden than the official results reported. But it was about 80 votes. It had no impact. All you have is a ridiculous nonsense conspiracy theory backed up by a very small number of very insignificant, isolated incidents.
