You provided a list of MOONS, not planets. You shouldn’t be teaching children if you can’t read a simple table. The only planet on your list is Neptune. As I explained, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Saturn and Jupiter are easily visible with the naked eye and have been known for thousands of years. Venus is brighter than any star in the sky by relative magnitude and is so bright that it will cast a shadow on a moonless night. But Jupiter, Mars and Saturn are also very bright and easy to see if you’ve got decent vision. Hint: Mars is the red one.

You’re just making this up. The reality is that glaciers on Antarctica and Greenland, and interior glaciers as well, are all melting at extreme rates, which will increase sea level. This will make hurricanes even more destructive to the coasts. The NOAA has been tracking both glaciers and the seasonal extents of the Arctic ice caps for decades, and the warming trend is very clear. And it is dangerous to humankind. The reason you don’t believe this is simple: You don’t WANT to believe it. Your TEAM doesn’t want to believe it. It’s part of your social identity. You can’t be on the TEAM if you merely believe these basic scientific facts. AND IT WILL HURT YOU AND YOUR FAMILY ONE DAY. Liberals aren’t saying these things to “win.” I don’t win any more than anyone else. The simple truth is that we need to accelerate our use of renewable electricity generation and transition quickly to electric vehicles.

Not all students who menstruate are female
Rebound replied to reason10's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Reading comprehension failure out of you, again. I said that a person who is born female and identifies as male might have periods. Or maybe not; I truly have no idea, and I don’t particularly care. Who was fired for calling a ‘they’ a ‘she’? -
“Washington(CNN)A lawyer for former Vice President Mike Pence discovered about a dozen documents marked as classified at Pence's Indiana home last week, and he has turned those classified records over to the FBI, multiple sources familiar with the matter told CNN. The FBI and the Justice Department's National Security Division have launched a review of the documents and how they ended up in Pence's house in Indiana. The classified documents were discovered at Pence's new home in Carmel, Indiana, by a lawyer for Pence in the wake of the revelations about classified material discovered in President Joe Biden's private office and residence, the sources said. The discovery comes after Pence has repeatedly said he did not have any classified documents in his possession.” https://amp.cnn.com/cnn/2023/01/24/politics/pence-classified-documents-fbi/index.html

I’m not the M&M guys. They’re a multi-billion dollar candy company. They aren’t liberal or conservative, they’re just selling candy. That’s why, as soon as dumbf*ck Tucker politicized them, they ditched their cartoon characters. They do not want any part of any political controversy because no sane businessman wants to alienate half their customer base. So what’s the actual problem? The problem is that fools like you listen to a bombastic a-hole like Tucker Carlson and you actually think he’s somehow protecting you against “danger” like cartoon characters with high heels. WTF, dude? How do you think a cartoon character is some kind of danger? This guy does a routine every day that attacks somebody so he can get attention and ratings, and he doesn’t give a shit how much harm he causes, cause it’s all about making a buck out of gullible suckers like you.

Most of those facts relate to things we cannot see or measure, such as the skin color of a dinosaur or the composition of subatomic particles. And I think even particle scientists were always pretty clear that sub-sub-atomic particles may exist. But temperature is measurable, and the composition of the upper atmosphere is measurable. The theory that CO2 is increasing is measurable and proven and the theory that it is warming the planet is measurable proven. Ask yourself this: Why do you feel it is so important to seek out every anti-climate change article you can, and to believe only that? Have you ever once thought, “What if I am wrong?”

No you f-ing jackass, you said that Mars, Jupiter, Saturn and Neptune were all discovered in the 19th century. I don’t know how else to break this to you: You Are An ldiot. You are poorly educated. You lack basic understanding of the world around you and you suffer from some sort of demented view that you’re the smartest person in the world, even though you routinely make easily disprovable and often blatantly contradictory statements. It’s pathetic. I feel sorry for you and your dog.

Are you blind? Puerto Rico destroyed by hurricane Bahamas destroyed by hurricane New Orleans destroyed by hurricane California city destroyed by largest-ever wildfire Oregon skies turned orange throughout state from largest-ever wildfires Highest temperatures ever recorded Ice caps and glaciers that are 30,000 years old have been melting. Ignoring all that evidence makes you an ldiot

Everybody’s entitled to their opinion, but not when they confuse opinion with fact. -
George Santos was a Brazilian Drag Queen
Rebound replied to CrakHoBarbie's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Seriously, for a moment: George Santos is a total lying shitbag and very likely a criminal. He should not be in Congress and the GOP should kick his ass to the curb. In the 1990’s, a GOP Speaker named Craig Livingstone resigned from his role as Speaker of the House AND from Congress after it was revealed he’d cheated on his wife. Look how far they’ve fallen! Santos is obviously a disgrace to himself, and the longer the GOP keeps him in Congress, the bigger they all disgrace themselves. -
Saturn, Jupiter and Mars are all very visible with the naked eye and brighter than nearly all stars in the sky. They have been well-known since antiquity, which is why they’re named after Greek/Roman Gods. Galileo discovered the moons of Jupiter and the rings of Saturn in the early 1600’s, which was when Kepler figured out that the retrograde orbit of Mars is caused by its elliptical orbit, which described the orbits of all planets and moons. I sure as hell hope you aren’t ever a substitute astronomy teacher.

I get you… but the Voting Rights Act became law in 1965 and when Dr. King was assassinated in 1968, all Hell broke loose. This should tell us clearly that African Americans were not happy with their treatment in 1964 or 1965. Then again, the Vietnam was wasn’t a massive clusterf*ck in 1964 and there were a lot of positive things about that time… except the Beatles really didn’t get good until 67-68. Imagine living in a world where the only Beatles music was “I want to hold your hand.”

It doesn’t matter how much CO2 is emitted by termites and volcanoes, because that is all part of the balance of nature which our planet and our species has adapted to. Let’s be clear about what climate change means: Life on Earth will definitely go on, it just might go on with a lot less humans. You forget that we are dependent upon food which grows in the ground in massive fields across the mid US and Canada. If climate change makes 30% of that land unproductive, it can have catastrophic effects. And then there’s the weather and the loss of coastal cities. Ignoring all that, we will all be much better off if we develop energy production methods which don’t rely on the whims of unstable Arab dictators. Those people are not our friends.

Not all students who menstruate are female
Rebound replied to reason10's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
If someone is born female and identifies as male and uses the Men’s room, then maybe that person menstruates. I don’t honestly know. I also don’t care very much. You seem to care about it a lot. You seem to be on your period all the time. Honestly, try smoking weed or something. You’re gonna give yourself a heart attack with all this anger. -
What defines someone as being a “qualified scientist”? I’d venture to say that it’s someone with a doctorate in the field they are researching, who is employed for the purpose of conducting scientific research, and who has performed scientific research in their field and published the data and results in scientific journals. That, I believe, makes someone a “qualified scientist.”

There’s no comparison between the pillow clown and the chairman of $17 billion industrial conglomerate AND a $34 billion shipping company. He’s trying to protect his businesses as much as anything else. Exxon’s scientist proved climate change long ago; they know about this too. https://news.harvard.edu/gazette/story/2023/01/harvard-led-analysis-finds-exxonmobil-internal-research-accurately-predicted-climate-change/
