  1. Those "experts" are either incorrect, or you do not understand them. For example, here's Massachusetts law: "Section 13. Whoever, without reasonable cause, by outcry or the ringing of bells, or otherwise, makes or circulates or causes to be made or circulated a false alarm of fire shall be punished by a fine of not less than one hundred dollars nor more than five hundred dollars, or by imprisonment in a jail or house of correction."
  2. But the government did not prosecute people for expressing disapproval of their Covid policies. Nobody was jailed or fined over it.
  3. Interesting that you refer to Brandeburg v Ohio in 1969, in which the SCOTUS ruled: "the constitutional guarantees of free speech and free press do not permit a State to forbid or proscribe advocacy of the use of force or of law violation except where such advocacy is directed to inciting or producing imminent lawless action and is likely to incite or produce such action." For example, lying to a large crowd of people by telling them the election was stolen, and that if the false results put the other candidate in office it will “destroy America” and that they should “march down to the Capitol” to “stop the steal,” and the crowd proceeds to march to the Capitol and, in the words of the Supreme Court, “imminent lawless action” ensures… the First Amendment does not protect that. Second, “(falsely) yelling fire in a crowded theater” was not the actual ruling, it was a dictum, and Brandenburg did not overturn the concept. You can tell fire in a crowded theater… if the theater is on fire, or if you think it’s on fire. But can you pull a fire alarm on a building that’s not on fire? No. Can you stand up in the middle of a Broadway show and start screaming “The building is on fire!!! Run! Run for your lives!”… when you know the building is not on fire? No, you will be cited and if people are harmed in a stampede you will be criminally prosecuted and the producers of the show might file civil lawsuit for the financial harm you caused if you falsely yelled “Fire” during a performance.
  4. Franklin Graham. Happens to be a political ally of Trump. What a surprise. The Red Cross wasn’t good enough; had to be a partisan “charity.”
  5. Now he claims he’s going to give the money to a church that forces its employees to sign a document disavowing homosexuality and same sex marriage. Great. A “church” that paid its “minister” over $800,000 last year. What kind of minister takes a salary of over $800,000 from charitable donations? Doing that is taking the Lord’s name in vain.
  6. How about if he just doesn’t lie? “Hey!!! You lied about my lying!! I’m allowed to lie and you aren’t. So unfair!”
  7. Who objects to a fact checker? A LIAR objects to a fact checker. Cause facts are immutable. There aren’t alternative versions of facts. They just are.
  8. Yeah…. As long as you ignore all of the non-stop lying and hateful extremist speech Vance has been making outside of the debate. This is the guy who said Haitians are eating cats and dogs, who said we need to attack our universities, that it is against G-d’s law to believe in evolution, he’s way more anti-abortion than he let on…
  9. Your mangod Trump outspent every President in history, including Biden.
  10. No, you do not. The “clarifications” we’ve gotten out of the Supreme Court are repulsive. “Clarifying” that the President can break any law and commit any crime he wants is an absurd “clarification.”
  11. Oh? Here is a word-for-word quotation: “Do you know that in the US some medical schools are reducing the requirements for nonwhite students to enter, and then dumbing down the curriculum so more of them can pass?“ To be even more clear, medical school curriculums are incredibly rigorous. It is extremely hard for anyone to get into medical school and even harder to graduate.
  12. Did you read the article or just the headline? Interestingly, it’s mostly conservatives who have been calling for a second constitutional convention, not liberals.
  13. Lying once, thirty-five years ago?
  14. Convicted fraudster Donald Trump, who is legally banned from operating a charity in New York due to fraud, is operating a bogus fund raiser for hurricane victims. Trump has encouraged donations through a GoFundMe set up by his campaign finance director (red flag number one), which does not list a single charity which the money will go to (red flag number two). With Trump, everything is about Trump. He could just encourage donations to the Red Cross, but he needs to put his name on everything instead of just getting the right thing done.
  15. “He is still saying he didn’t lose the election,” Mr. Walz said of Mr. Trump, turning to Mr. Vance. “Did he lose the 2020 election?” “Tim,” Mr. Vance replied, “I’m focused on the future.” “That,” Mr. Walz said, “is a damning non-answer.” There was a reason, he added, that Mr. Pence was not on the stage as Mr. Trump’s running mate anymore. “America, I think you’ve got a really clear choice,” Mr. Walz said, his eyes getting bigger, “of who’s going to honor that democracy and who’s going to honor Donald Trump.”
  16. Excellent source: “The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 applies to taxes starting in 2018, and the first quarterly data on tax revenue are in. This graph compares current tax revenue categories with categories for the previous year. Most noticeable are a major drop in corporate tax income and the increase in taxes from production and imports. (In the latter case, both excise tax income and import duty income increased.) These changes are actually quite impressive: -35% for corporate tax income, +16% for production and import tax income. Personal income taxes are slightly down ” https://fredblog.stlouisfed.org/2018/06/movement-of-the-federal-tax-receipt-front/?utm_source=series_page&utm_medium=related_content&utm_term=related_resources&utm_campaign=fredblog
  17. How come you didn’t demand Obama’s conception certificate? How come the Constitution grants citizenship based on where you’re born, not where you’re conceived? I the entire nation has long-standing agreement that a third trimester fetus is viable and cannot be aborted on demand, unless there is a serious medical reason why. That was the Roe v Wade standard. Late term abortion as birth control is not something doctors in even liberal states will perform. But medical complications can occur and the government has no business making them.
  18. But how does that get TRUMP’S debts paid?
  19. If you think it’s even, then clearly Vance is losing.
  20. Providence Healthcare isn’t “a bunch of nuns.” They’re a massive multibillion dollar highly profitable conglomerate that paid its CEO $10 million. I’ve used one of their hospitals and it was great and I appreciate it. But pretending that it’s a church is ridiculous.
  21. So you’re saying that if Trump becomes President he’ll make the taxpayers pay his personal debts?
  22. I’m not the one who lost two defamation lawsuits for $100 mil.
  23. Who decides whether the child is killing the mother? The doctor who recommended an abortion to save the mother’s life? What if the doctor says the chances of the mother dying is 90%? 50%? 25%? Who should decide? YOU???? Or the mother and her doctor? Why do you think this is any of your business?
