You don't really want to find out. Finding out requires reading, and you've often mocked and refused to read anything that's more than a few paragraphs long. But here. Try these. https://nationalpost.com/opinion/our-universities-ideology-problem https://nationalpost.com/opinion/jamie-sarkonak-education-student-punished-for-questioning-decolonization-sues-uwo https://nationalpost.com/opinion/jamie-sarkonak-woke-teachers-openly-preach-as-common-sense-colleagues-are-silenced

Speaking for myself, it's not just that the government pays to take care of these people. It's that the government pays to take care of all of the asylum claimants. Presently, that numbers over half a million. What bothers me is how easily one can get refugee status in Canada, which means permanent residency, which means citizenship. Being gay is now the top claim for asylum, though the government won't tell us the numbers. But the concerning number is 87%, which is the success rate of claims. And since the government doesn't even track who leaves Canada, we don't even know if the remaining 13% left. We have no reason to believe they did. You think those Japanese lesbians were being oppressed?

The Media betrays itself on racial crime issues.

The story of the Ukrainian girl being murdered by that black savage was ripe for sensationalizing, but the media didn't. Why not? -
Carney is wrong: Free Trade with America is good
I am Groot replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
I have come to the conclusion that Carney does not actually want an agreement with the US. He's using Trump and his tariffs and threats for cover. Any economic issue Canada has (and it has plenty) now gets hand-waved away as being due to Trump. He even gets to use it to justify his enormous, bloated budgets. -

As someone who has a number of investments in the US, it's because the way the Trumpicans are slashing away at regulations and corporate taxes while pressuring the fed to cut rates means stocks are having a field day. It will eventually end in disaster, of course, much like the financial crisis, which is why gold, silver, and bitcoins are shooting up through the roof. But in the meantime, I'm making money (in both US stocks and gold/silver/copper), and hope to get most of it out before the collapse. -
You realize that was at the instigation of the Left, right? Even today, someone who brags about being openly communist can be a professor at any Canadian university and be made welcome by his mostly leftist colleagues. Try doing that as a professed Fascist and see what happens. Or they're just claiming to be LGBT to get in. Like that bisexual guy with a wife and kids. Claiming to be gay is a free ticket to citizenship now.

It's not a coincidence that the birthrate has collapsed in tandem with a massive rise in immigration/foreign workers/foreign students/refugees into Canada and the resulting scarcity of housing and decent jobs. Before Mulroney increased immigration, massively increasing it from about 85k to 225k in hopes of making inroads with ethnic communities, we were doing okay. Now we took in more than twice as many mostly illiterate, unskilled third-world types under the refugee program last year as we used to take in total immigrants. And they began their time in Canada by repeatedly lying in order to get in and qualify for various social programs. So they're unlikely to ever be decent citizens.

It's not short. We have 500,000 asylum claimants in Canada now waiting for hearings. Virtually all will be staying. Virtually none will ever pay income tax. Almost none of our refugees have ever experienced persecution. Many of them have persecuted others. Many want to persecute people here, and say so openly. They shout 'death to Canada' and 'globalize the intifada'.

Being gay should absolutely NOT be a criterion for claiming or granting refugee status, barring exceptional circumstances. It's simply too easy to claim and too hard to discredit - even if our government would accept anyone in its employ daring to challenge someone who says they're gay. Hell, we aren't even allowed to challenge a six-foot-five bearded male with his dick dangling below the hem of his miniskirt who says he's a woman. What this means, in practice, is that everyone can come to Canada and claim to be gay and stay. We don't require evidence of persecution. We granted refugee status to a pair of lesbians from Japan who said they were discriminated against. That's how low the bar is.

Well, it kept it from being Muslim... Naw, typical politician. Well, it ruled the world, so not too badly. The EU is absolutely NOT strong today. Their moronic pursuit of climate change policies is bankrupting them and driving their industry, even German industry to China, India, and other places that have plenty of cheap coal power. Meanwhile, this organization, with a population of 450 million, is panicking because the US might not protect them anymore against a country of 145 million next door. And meanwhile, millions of foreign, military age men, almost all Muslims, are streaming into Europe because the Europeans don't have the balls to stop them. They'll be taking the place over in another couple of generations and doing what their ancestors failed to do: turn it into another huge group of Muslim shitholes.

American Dollar: Ponzi Scheme?
I am Groot replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
It shows how low the American right has sunk that you'd consider being able to borrow more money is one of the primary reasons for being American. Used to be a time when NOT borrowing money, but paying your way, was the thing American conservatives stood for. And if the fat orange toad was even slightly serious about Canada joining the US he'd be saying he wants to bring them in as ten states, not one. The idea you'd have a state the size of Canada is as deranged as most of the rest of his demented bleatings.
