  1. Any fool can be a judge as long as he's a lawyer. And lots of lawyers are fools. Judges are not chosen for their wisdom or legal acumen. They're screened according to various identity traits and then appointed based on ideological beliefs. And once they get to the Supreme Court there are no guard rails. They can make any decision they want on any topic under judgment for any reason. No one can overrule them.
  2. These are not a 'group'. People who base their whole life on their sexuality have nothing in common with someone who is asexual. No more than the others have anything in common. To paraphrase a comedian. Gays "I love dick!" Lesbians "I hate dick!" Trans "I want to cut my dick off! We should all be a group!"
  3. The courts control what happens to illegal immigrants and refugee applicants.
  4. So are Jewish teens. I don't think the school routinely have "Jew Month" or put up Jewish flags or spend a day every year having their kids do projects and learn about Jews and Jewish history and great Jewish figures in history. Why not? What about Muslim Month? Native month? How come schools don't put up all kinds of banners and flags and decorations to celebrate wearing glasses? There are tons of kids who wear glasses who are routinely bullied and discriminated against throughout their lives!
  5. I don't believe in judicial sovereignty. I think our elected leaders should be writing laws, not politically appointed judges chosen for their ideological enthusiasm for social justice. I wouldn't mind it but given we have a supreme court that found us guilty of 'cruel and unusual punishment' for delaying parole eligibility for serial killers I don't think they'd be willing to countenance that.
  6. We have never protected our sovereignty. And I'm not all that interested in starting with this guy. He should have been deported decades ago.
  7. I hate to point this out, but our politicians don't have control over who stays and who goes. That is the judiciary. And the judiciary will not allow anyone to be deported to anywhere they might be mistreated.
  8. Good question. Apparently he fled to Canada after being accused of involvement in a bombing. He came in under a fake passport and then applied for asylum. It was rejected. Eleven days later he suddenly married a Sikh woman and she applied to sponsor him. That was rejected as a fake marriage. There is no word on why he was kept around but I'm guessing the courts forbid us deporting him since he faced likely human rights abuse in India. According to our immigration minister he became "Canadian" in 2015, but he wasn't a Canadian, really. He had no interest in this country. He was devoted to trying to set up a separate Sikh homeland in India, and if he had ever succeeded he'd have left Canada. He was a technical Canadian, but not one I recognize as such.
  9. He has said that he knows no more about it than what Trudeau said in the House.
  10. In an unprecedented move today, Trudeau came out in the House and openly accused India of murdering a Sikh extremist here in Canada. He said Canada had 'credible intelligence' India was behind it. Okayyy. But how does that explain his actions today? He's had credible intelligence for a long time about China interfering in Canada, spying on us, blackmailing and threatening Chinese-Canadian expats here, funneling money into the pockets of politicians and interfering in our elections and he's taken no real action nor accused China. Also, Trudeau has never shown any interest in national security matters. Trudeau's only interest is votes for Trudeau. Further, the normal way to handle such things, particularly when there's no proof, is to rally support from allies and then do some stern, behind the scenes things with India. Why not try that here? After all, if it really did happen, maybe it's a rogue operation and Modi doesn't even know. Ah, but that wouldn't give Trudeau any votes. Suddenly, we have Captain Trudeau, standing nobly before us and the great evil Indian Other! Hands on hips, shoulders back, chin elevated nobly and bravely, a stern look on his face (which he's probably practiced in mirrors). "Rally around me!" he cries. Poilievre has little choice but to express support. Singh hates India so naturally he's on-side. Trudeau will institute some sort of minor sanctions he will play up which will have no affect on India. India will retaliate, which WILL have an impact on us as India has way more power and influence in the world than we do. But Trudeau will get to act tough against an 'enemy' and thus narrow the big gap between him and Poilievre. I think it will work, too. Watch his approval ratings and poll numbers shoot up. There goes any hope of any sort of trade deal with the world's largest country, but hey, if it gets Trudeau more votes that's well worth it! It's not like the economy matters to him anyway. https://www.theglobeandmail.com/politics/article-canadian-authorities-have-intelligence-that-india-was-behind-slaying/
  11. You don't need to poll these people. Their own actions and statements make their views quite clear.
  12. And a staple of street prostitution, kinky sex, and violence as long as I remember. The school board didn't do nothing out of fear of the Left. The school board did nothing because they ARE the Left. Because transgenderism is basically venerated by the Left now. Because their unwavering dedication to the idea that anyone who says they're a different gender has to be believed and supported would not allow them to do anything but agree and try to protect him and his decision.
  13. Are you saying only the Conservatives could do this? I'm pretty sure the Liberals could do it tomorrow. I know people who are in jobs or who are still working in areas which had jobs that paid several dollars over minimum wage years ago. Now they just pay minimum, because they can. Because even at minimum they get tons of applicants. This is what all those foreign workers and foreign student workers have wrought. I don't what happens to overpaid educrats busily accomplishing nothing at universities while pouring out rules, regulations and decrees that treat everyone like toddlers.
  14. The parents will be personally impacted and have to live with it. And unlike the students they have fully developed brains. You think maybe people with the fully developed brains ought to be the ones making the decisions on irreversible medical procedures?
  15. Canadian surgeons performing mastectomies on trans teens as young as 14 https://nationalpost.com/news/breast-removal-surgery-trans-teens
  16. I think what you meant to say is it would cause colleges and universities to slash some of their hordes of non-teaching administrative positions and would lead to higher wages for lower-skilled workers. Right?
  17. That is not a fast solution. A fast solution would be to slash foreign workers and foreign students in half. That would give cause a million people to leave Canada and open up the cheap housing where they were living. Don't know if it's true but haven't seen it mentioned elsewhere.
  18. Parents, you mean? And if you can't afford rent?
  19. All Canadian sports teams underachieve. Toronto is the only one that can't use lack of money as an excuse.
  20. Trying to figure out what the hell is wrong with school boards starts with why they don't seem to be representative of the parents of those schools. In fact, these 'educrats' appear to be more closely aligned with the far left indoctrination types that flow out of universities with degrees in gender studies and sociology, and who think merit and punctuality are symbols of white supremacy. I don't know if it's still the case, though it probably is that the NDP uses local school boards as a kind of training ground for its politicians. They help them get elected there, where there's no real organized opposition, then see how they perform both as candidates and while at the board to assess whether to support them going for something higher, like city council or MPP The other parties don't do this and this kind of accounts for political the lopsidedness of the schoolboards. Even the Catholic schoolboards have fallen prey to this nonsensical leftist ideology that is anti-capitalist, anti-western cultural values, and to a degree, even anti-religious. I mean, nothing will infuriate our local Catholic school board as much as questioning trans or gay rights! And I don't think that's really a reflection of how Catholic parents feel.
  21. It will help them. 99% of those who will be upset with them on these issues would never have voted conservative anyway. And it will help them pick up a lot of votes among ethnic/immigrant groups in the cities.
  22. If you think the trans issue is going to hurt the Tories you haven't been paying attention. It's not just hard-right conservatives who think it's gone way too far, it's almost everyone but progressives.
  23. That's not the only problem. It's just the only problem you're allowed to cite in a country where any expression of pride in country or nation, in its history, accomplishments, values and traditions draws howls of accusations of 'white nationalism', or 'xenophobia' or 'racism'. You aren't allowed to say letting in tens of millions of immigrants from places with wildly different values and cultures without the time to absorb them will destroy any sense of shared identity or history. We're not allowed to care about our culture being washed away or to wonder or worry about what will replace it. Unless you're French, of course. Then you're encouraged to take pride in your unique identity and history and values and culture. But we've let the leftist ideologues take over our schools and universities, our media and artistic groups, even our museums to the point they all wallow in hand wringing guilt at everything about Canada's and the Western world's culture, values and history. Hell, our museums hate everything about Canada and are busy 'decolonizing' their collections, which means eliminating anything that even hints of any pride in our history. Our artistic groups and the government that funds them (they're all talentless welfare whores who couldn't fund a single book or movie without government cheques) spew out nothing but guilt-mongering stories designed to make anyone who isn't a member of a protected identity group feel ashamed of their existence. Our media is nothing but a pack of ideologues regurgitating every American progressive inspired platitude about race and society. And you'll find more truth and realism on the Disney channel than in our universities. Six years ago the Immigration department itself warned that Canada was reaching its 'absorbtive capacity' and that new immigrants weren't learning the language as much, were settling into ethnic enclaves more, weren't becoming in an way 'Canadian' because there were just too many of them and they were so regularly reinforced by more. And the Liberals said "who cares" and just upped the numbers more and more. And nobody complained because to care about Canada's culture and native values is, to the progressives who infest our cultural industries and media, akin to declaring your allegiance to Adolph Hitler. I suspect what our future culture and values are going to resemble is something closer to a mix of India, China and mainstream Islam. And the only good thing about that will be watching all the progressives' jaws drop as they start electing leaders who don't think anything about gay sex should be legal, that natives should just shut the hell up about the past and get to work, and that women should properly spend their time at home in the kitchen.
