Yes, EV's are the way of the future bit we still have obstacles to overcome. Electrical infrastructure, not just at charging sites but in homes, range (we are a large country with wide open spaces), and cold weather to overcome. As for how many are already here....."As of July 2025, there are over 901,545 zero-emission vehicles (ZEVs) registered in Canada, according to Transports Canada. This includes a mix of battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs)."

Bottom line is, no matter how you try to spin it, the conservatives dropped the ball. They could not pivot or recover and hence, they lost.

A few posters seems concerned over Canadian involvement in Latvia. We are doing what is required for our NATO allies. Fact is "Canadian troops have been there since 2017 to strengthen the defence of Europe's eastern flank and to deter Russia from invading Baltic countries, through what many call a "trip wire." The current authority for the mission ends in March 2026, but Carney said he plans to extend that by another three years." "Canada leads the NATO Multinational Brigade in Latvia, a formation of approximately 3,000 personnel from 14 NATO Allies. During their meeting, the prime ministers underscored the importance of NATO, of ending Russia's war of aggression, and of securing a just and lasting peace for Ukraine."
