  1. 1 Actually, we in Canada are doing quite well when it comes to inflation. better than many. https://tradingeconomics.com/country-list/inflation-rate https://www.cfr.org/tracker/global-inflation-tracker 2. Not sure what "heavy handed hand outs" are What money are we throwing? So, carbon tax, which everyone, individuals, businesses and corporations pay is "redistributing wealth" fro m the middle class only? 3. I do not want to get into cow and pig farts. I will let you run with that one LOL Not sure what politicians (of all stripes) are deflecting. Bottom line, Loblaws, and all other grocery stores buy it's products from out of country sources and they pay what is costs. We, in Canada have a very short harvest season and when we do, our farmers charge us so much we buy imported because it is cheaper. If you decide to go to local markets and willing pay way more for your products when in season, then you have no right to complain about Loblaw (or any other grocery store) prices.
  2. Why? Just because I am not monarchist?? The Americans have their very own, made by them, system. Not hanger ons to the knights of the round table LOL You must be Sir Canadalot
  3. Global warming is another topic but....the carbon taxing to lessen our use of carbon based fuels ties into everything. The thing is, as this topic is named "Loblaws Boycott" people forget or do not understand the effect of carbon taxing. Everything and I mean everything in the supply chain from the tractor fuel to plow the fields, the fertilizer truck to feed the dirt, to the seeds and harvest etc etc affects the cost of our grocery products. Oh and, then there is the cost of labour too. And not even including the expenses the suppliers and stores themselves have to absorb. My point is, boycotting Loblaws is show business and useless at best. Loblaws will say things to appease but nothing will change. Lastly, the entire world is experiencing inflation.
  4. Monarchy Pffft. Parlaiment wants to be productive instead of bickering, find out a way to cut the British apron strings....completely.
  5. I hope you succeed but, statistics say, you will continue to drink and will probably re-offend (may not get caught but....). Unfortunately, I know several folks that are/were in your situation and once the punishment was over...back to normal.
  6. Who are you talking about? Or, what comment sparked this response?
  7. doogie, you have far too much to say for a part and short time quitter that worships torturers and murderers.
  8. Not sure what it is that you are trying to say Michael. I tried to give you my examples of wait times. Yes, peoples wants and desires have changed and they assume they can do what they want and not understanding the consequences Don't want to work nights and who cares about the people having to stay or visit hospitals at night.. Todays government managers have no one to manage...they are all pretending to be working from home. The government does not manage the economy, the market manages the economy. We pay more because the vendors charge more because it cost them more. We are an importing country so, if things cost more, it is because where we get things from cost more.
  9. Yup, you just continue to prove my point. "Man, you are one sad individual LOL Re-read all your posts. There is not one where you are not whining or complaining. My comment is not an attack but stating a fact"
  10. Lets be real. Every penny spent by a company or business is a tax write off as an expense. Been that way since...forever.
  11. Surprised at what? My comment is based on your statement "The biggest problem, imo, is that we don't know how to run services. " My response is that there is only so much social money to go around and unless you take from someone or something, you cannot give to other people or things. Is that wrong? Actually, resources are far more strained now than before and services have increased a lot more than before covid. Wait lists are with every organization and company in Canada. I waited for over an hour for CAA insurance and then they said they will callback....never did. I waited on Air Canada for so long , I gave up. I expected more from them but, hey, never happens. Maybe those people from CRA were working from home were actually not "working" and you had to wait for the ones that were? Hospitals are a different issue. Really, when it comes down to it, how can you force doctors to work anywhere or nurses? If they do not like where they work , so be it but that is not the governments fault (provincial governments). I need to get regular infusions and go to an office that has 5 to 6 nurses working there. I ask why they are there and they say it is straight days and do not like shift work. Not a government services fault. The government is managed by the people in the end. They do what you want them to do. You want more, they give you more. until they have nothing to give. You want services, transparency, more services more transparency to the point many workers are just spending time answering complaints and questions and pointing out and to the enormous volumes of manuals and policies. Every department has many many people just responding to questions and really get nothing moving forward. I had the misfortune of having to do time in the ATI office in my department. Hundreds of ATI's per month.Anybody and everybody pay $5 and gets to ask questions and demand answers. And that is not including the thousands of daily phone calls.Often, directing them to a website is the answer but, other times it takes telling them over and over again and they still do not get it. It all takes people and time. As for being managed by the economy? Michael, you are a smart guy and you know where that would end.
  12. I actually think we do know how to run services. I think the problem is people think they should or deserve more and more and there is no end to what they want. Hence, complaints about services....all services. There are finite resources and hence, finite services. Like a wise person once said, and it is so true "The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else" They also said "You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity. What one person receives without working for another person must work for without receiving." That is my take on guaranteed income ....sorry for the off topic
  13. Man, you are one sad individual LOL Re-read all your posts. There is not one where you are not whining or complaining. My comment is not an attack but stating a fact Fighting for freedom??? What a laugh LOL Sad sad sad ....
  14. You have never, ever given an intelligent and calm and honesty reply. LOL More canfux BS .LOL
  15. Yeah, still a bad decision. When an interim leader is better than what is running, well, you see what they got LOL
  16. The conservatives have never done well in Quebec anyway. Yeah, that was the condition of her interim leadership. The conservatives should have changed that. I mean, they picked Sheer and O'Foole. Both losers in more ways than one. PP will win by default, Trudeau is just to despised to come close. So, hopefully we will not get another loser conservative like the last 2.
  17. Wow, reading comprehension is not your only issue, understanding comprehension seems to go hand in hand with it LOL. You just make shit up and convince yourself you are right LOL.
  18. What was wrong about my post???? C'mon , instead of making BS comments, prove your claim LOL Oh and, no ass porn, you are an A$$ is a fact.
  19. So, whining for the sake of whining. OK then LOL
  20. Yup, the first person whining because you are not getting what you think you deserve LOL I can also think lots of departments should disappear (Indian and Northern Affairs...huge money pit) but, fact is, they are there because someone wanted, needed or were promised them.
  21. Yup, still an A$$ LOL Everything you say is wrong. LOL Everything you post is a rant LOL You argue with everyone on this forum...seems the A$$ is all you LOL
  22. Not sure what your point is besides the obvious that it costs more to live. My point was that it costs everyone more to live and to produce. As for your salary point, the minimum wage increased dramatically and therefore the cost of products has had to increase to compensate. Are you implying that the salaries should go up more? Seems like a never ending circle, more pay, higher prices so we pay more salary and the prices go up again. Yes Trudeau is giving everybody everything but, what do you suggest he takes away and from who?
  23. You know, you are an a$$. My post is not argumentative yet you turn it into some sort of platform for your rants. My simple point, which escapes you, is that Jagmeet is slipping badly. I do not like Trudeau and I do not like PP and I do not like Jagmeet.
