You say "them" like all addicts. I suggest to you that the tragedy that befell you was one, not all. You may say otherwise but I can pretty well say that it was not some unknown public servant that made this decision sitting in their cubicle by themselves. i am quite sure for a government to backtrack such a controversial program that there were many experts (all detached as opposed to personal involvement) involved. "Ragging" on me is pointless. I am far from an expert and only an observer yet, I see and hear and read of the failure of the gentle on the addicts programs. Fact is things are getting worse. More people are dying every year and less is being done to help. So, if what was being done over the past 100 years does not help, then what do we do? Oh, lets give up and let them take drugs anywhere, anytime without consequences. Nothing wrong with that? Maybe we should become harsher on addicts??;

Don't need to be lectured. Fact is, whatever BC did was an epic fail and they are correcting it. Good on them. Sorry for your experience with your son but, perhaps you did not want the hard approach, incarcerate till cured? Sounds like you were an enabler? I am very sorry that you lost him. Don't be an a$$, I never once said I am more knowledgeable than anyone, let alone you. If it is a "sickness" then it needs to be healed, not encouraged and without consequence.

I find it interesting they people are actually believing the increase in prices is because of the grocery stores. We buy almost all our product on the open market from November to August and it is almost all imported from other places in the world. The cost of production there has gone up. too. The transportation has gone up, the warehousing has gone up as well. Then we need to get it here. Shipping has gone up. Trucking has gone up. Labour costs have gone up 25+% alone. Then the dreaded carbon tax which affects every aspect of the supply chain not just for imported products but for locally grown stuff too. Then, we blame Loblaws?? Give your heads a shake folks. i see proponents of this boycott on TV and wonder if they actually understand anything except that it costs them more for groceries, not why or how. Blame the end seller??

The Feds were not part of BC's plan and never discussed hard drugs.. PP is always "bellowing" not know what the issues are. Not sure if you are a former junkie or have some in your family but surely you must realize the "new" rules/processes/procedures did not work. It only seemed to make the addiction problem get worse. As for your statement about wanting "tweaks", I think you are wrong The government does not take such a dramatic an drastic change without the backing of all those organizations dealing with this problem. I am not reading or hearing any significant backlash against what the government is doing. Your analogy is not simple, let alone valid for the situation.

Goodbye Muslim hater. Nobel prize??? LOL

When I said "We were the ones that said, wait for it... it will only get worse..." it was about BC (and other provinces and cities) opening up drug use in public spaces and anywhere, including hospitals.... and it did, to the point they had to repeal the directive. All along I have been in favour of treatment but we seemed to have fallen into the hole that it is OK and doing it safely anywhere and everywhere instead to treatment. Maybe enforcing treatment instead of just giving it lip service will be the answer.

Yes, they took steps to correct a problem. A problem that they caused. Where they take it now a\makes it easier for police to enforce and perhaps incarcerate addicts. There was no consequences before. Oh yes, we all gave a shit about the freedom given to addicts. We were all very upset but realized we, un-addicted, had no mre say. So, we are not "clueless 1diots". We were the ones that said, wait for it... it will only get worse.... and it did and we cans say we told you so.

WTF????? You on drugs or cannot read? RTFQ...and answer that. "Can anyone give an example of a Liberal green initiative that doesn't involve party members or friends making a lot of money? "
-
It takes a tradesman to build a =million dollar home and a garden shed. No tradesmen no or very reduced building of anything, big little multi family homes. As far as buying 1 million dollar homes, well, the market and customers will decide. Or do you want the government to ban million dollar homes?? LOL Having the people to build homes will most certainly help relieve the shortage. No tradesmen, no homes being built and the prices go up. Regardless, the price is determined by the buyers and what they are willing to pay. That is what bidding wars are all about....

Of fools like you going off into never never land again?? LOL

For EV'S? Topic is electric vehicles and green initiatives. I know how difficult it is for you to stay on topic but, please try LOL
-
How is that Liberal?? BC is NDP. Ontario is Conservative. What liberal " party members or friends making a lot of money"? And why are EV's a farce??
-
Where and when have I admitted that and where and when have I lied? You sound very much like a couple of Trumpites on this forum. Making shit up to align with your narrative. LOL Such a shame to see a reasonable poster turn to... whatever you have become. I had respect for your comments and posts but in one foul swoop, you lost all credibility. Block.

Look, I will tell you like I have told everyone else that still insists on barking up my tree. I do not give a shit about them over there. Nuke em all and turn it into a wasteland. I do not give one shit at all. Arguing with me is fruitless, i am only here to play the opposite side. No more no less. It absolutely amuses me at the reaction, passion and vehement denial of anything but their opinion. Even when said that there are 2 sides to every story and it takes 2 to tangle they still insist on picking sides. OK. Arguing with me or trying to get me to say anything other than what I have been saying is foolish on your part. The only thing I can say , again is, hope you stop before you head bleeds too much

Being purely practical, knowing the cost of just gas in my car and gas for my house and electricity for my home and that has all increased dramatically, I can only see that all those expenses are also applicable to Loblaws and all their subsidiaries. All the cumulative costs from the growers, producers , truckers, delivery people warehousing folks have all incurred those additional costs. As always, before this present time, increases are always passed on to the end user. Pissed off? For sure but, surprised? No. Loblaws is a company and all public companies are in it to make money. They are not food banks or charities. We shop weekly and see what people are buying and to me, it does not look like people are being frugal at all.

You clearly do not read what I post either. I don't know how many times I have said, nuke em all. Turn the region into a wasteland. I do not care for either side. It is just so much fun watching an religious christian zealot like you become a warmonger LOL F'n hypocrite LOL Duhhh LOL

Whoa whoa there puppy, it is you that said ""Every country surrounding Israel has waged war on Isreal since its inception." Israel did declare itself a state, once it was given the territory. The Israeli knesset then made the official declaration, as they had to. Now here it the most honest and thought out thing you have said so far....right along what I have said all along. "Just because there are two sides doesn't make each side accurate or honest. " At least now you acknowledge there are 2 sides. Yeah, well, i don't read much of your trash. You are just another hypocritical religious zealot. I am far from blind, unlike you LOL
-
Israel has only been around since 1948 and the arab/jew thing is thousands of years old. they that each other that long. Considered they came both from the same loin, Abraham. As a devout obsessed christian, I am dismayed you support the killing ad destruction imposed by the Israelis, regardless who started it. F'n christian hypocrite..
-
MEH Nonsense post. LOL So,both were there, why does one deserve a contry and not the other??? Pakistan???? WTF??
-
I thought it was quite obvious, I will be more explicit: In 1948 those surrounding Middle Eastern countries went to war against Israel. In the 6 day of war, Egypt engaged in actions tantamount to war by closing shipping lanes, and when Israel responded as they said they would, surrounding Middle Eastern countries engaged in a war against them... Not sure why you put "wars" in quotes. It demonstrates exactly what I said earlier: "Every country surrounding Israel has waged war on Isreal since its inception." ..... When British left, Palestinians could have done similar to Israel, declared themselves a state and taken what they had... but instead they went to war against Isreal. ... If "every country" surrounding Israel has waged war, that obviously means that all those countries have no basis or reason to do so? Israel never declared itself a country. It was spearheaded by the Brits and consecrated by the UN. The Palestinians never had an opportunity of were able to declare anything. Look, none of us here, especially on this forum, has any idea what it is like to actually live there, on either side and what we say is meaningless. If you are in fact an expat form there, then you obviously have some bias. I will play the opposite side of your argument even though I do not care but just to make you aware there are 2 sides to every story and conflict. Who is right or just?? Again, opinion and whatever you at for breakfast this morning. After thousands of years dude, there is nothing "obvious".
-
Palestinians have lived in that area for thousands years...they were not Muslims till the 600's AD. Muslims did not "conquer", there were living there already. Muslim population grew there, Christianity did not. The Brits promised the Jews land if they gave support to Britain in WW1. Nothing happened till after WW2 although Britain ruled the area after WW1.
