The key is "being read in" and in order to be read in, you need to sign and abide by the Security Act. If political leaders refuse to get cleared, that is, in my opinion, being a very poor leader. Not knowing or being able to see national documents that are secret makes them very poor leaders. You cannot presume to lead if you refuse to see or read documents that affect Canada. As I have said previously, I had top secret clearance when I was in the military and I will forever be obliged and bound by the rules in the act.

May spoke about a security agency report. Jagmeet spoke about a peers and colleagues written report. Neither could say much as, I think they were both secret or top secret documents....although I did link the peer and colleague report. I am kinda thinking that the peer and colleague report would not shit on their own? Yes, the two statements are at odds as they reflect 2 different reports. Yes, it is more than non disclosure. When you get secret and top secret security clearance, you sign a lot more than just "I won't tell". I held both and the restrictions and penalties are very severe and you are under those restrictions forever or until the documents are declassified. So, who is actually saying anything worth anything?? One says one name of ex MP and the other alludes to a list of sitting politicians. Or both are ambiguous enough just to get face time in the press? LOL Oddly, both Liberals and PC's are quiet. -
There are may symptoms and consequences of indifference. I suggest you Google "is indifference bad" as it can describe the consequences and effect much better than I can. Such as "While indifference can be harmless and normal to experience, it can also be harmful. The indifference, unresponsiveness, detachment, and passivity that are characteristic of apathy can leave apathetic individuals feeling exhausted and also lead to their making bad decisions — because, well, they just don't care"

Indifference will always bite you in the ass no matter what it is. You may not care now but...it may affect you tomorrow or in the future. Yes we do. Have a great day
-
Yup, the younger generation are more tolerant ...of everything. What does not touch or affect them directly is OK with them all the time. Their tolerance will eventually bite them in the ass some day and they will have to take a stand and hopefully their indecision and tolerance now will not affect their lives in the future. Not saying lqbrtgs2q++ is the only indifference to which they display but it is just one issue that they pass off as insignificant.

1. I stand corrected 2. No, the pride flag means one thing and one thing only. Symbology is a different topic. 3. 4 5 Yes, pride is a month and that is my displeasure. Why a month. No other celebration (other than religious ) is a month. 6. I completely disagree. Most people are not OK with it. Thing is that it is not politically correct to say so... you will be demeaned and called out if you don't so, they say nothing ad let the m be. 7. There was lots of "gay" talk 10 years ago. It is just that now every sexual or whatever group has jumped on the bandwagon. Your acronym grows constantly LOL Most people do not even know, let alone care, what clothes or costumes or who's bed you boink in with whomever you want. The fact your group is constantly advertising, playing victim and "celebrating" is getting old and tiresome as you seem to be aware of.

1. There is no semantics about my comment. Not displaying the flag opens up the criticism from that community. BTW, "semantics" is the use of language, not comparison of symbols. 2. I am not sure what your retort is supposed to mean? I am talking about raising a flag, painting a crosswalk and bench. 3. I splice nothing. I am stating a fact. The fact is that the pride flag flies for the month and no other flag flies for that period. 4. I believe that their "inclusion" or not is imagined. No one cares and a display for an entire month obviously does not change perception. I think the flag is a symbol of sexual choice and recognize it..but I do not need to see it celebrated for an entire month every year. We do not do it for any other reason for an entire month. A week ...well OK but really, a month every year seems like pushing it down peoples throats. This comes up every year and the rhetoric and arguments are the same year after year after year. Imagine, a year with no display... who would miss it beside the lgqb2sq+++ folks wanting to prance and play???

24 Sussex -Demolish, Rebuild, Keep Address/Place
ExFlyer replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
I have lived in Ottawa many decades and this debate has been going on for even longer than that. We all know that doing a renovation costs way more than building new. It will pretty well have to be demolished to fix all the issues that are with the residence now. So, the extra steps of knocking down the external walls would not be a big step. Actually, I think that half way through any renovation, it will be determined that it needs demolishing anyway. Personally I think the building needs to be demolished from the beginning and a new one built. The problem, with that is it will be a government project and will take longer than buying aircraft or ships to get done LOL The other problem is those old folks that have some sort of emotional attachment to a decaying building. Every city has them and they are a pain in the ass as they do not have to pay for anything they want.- 1 reply

Interestingly, "the flag" has become a means of intimidation for the lgbqt4s+++ crowd. Don't paint the crosswalks or the bench or raise the flag and you will get nothing but bad reaction and comment from that community. It is the only "other" flag that is hoisted at city halls and schools and elsewhere for an entire month other than the Canadian or Provincial or official flags. Don't fly the flag or paint or commemorate and the organization that does not will be fully chastised.

Did he ? Seems there are 2 reports. NSICOP and CSIS. I believe May spoke of the CSIS report. Not sure what sing is speaking to. One report is done by the Security Agency which has no political affiliation and the other is by sitting MP's and Senators. One report did not have a list of names the other, I am not sure. If NSICOP has a list of names, is it also top secret and is jagmeet divulging secret info? That last question is, why is one report different than the other? Were the mandates the same? Here is the NSICOP report: https://www.nsicop-cpsnr.ca/reports/rp-2024-06-03/special-report-foreign-interference.pdf -

I do not know anything that is in the report except what was said by Elizabeth May in her press conference.. I do know the report is top secret and only persons with top secret clearance can see it. I do know that one person that has that clearance has openly said there were no list and only one person was named and that person, an ex MP, should be investigated and charged. As I understand, the CSIS investigation and resulting report was to determine if there were any MP's engaged with foreign countries that may have interfered with our elections. As the one person willing to discuss it said, no sitting MP was mentioned. I am not "telling everyone move on nothing worth your time here" at all, what I am telling is that, as the person that read the report said there was no sitting MP's named in the report and and only an ex MP was named.is an ex MP. Speculation is just that, speculation. If you wish to call Elizabeth a liar, by all means, be my guest. -

I stopped reading your post after the first sentence. Somehow you seem to indicate that you know the content in the CSIS report, regardless that it is top secret. -
If it makes you feel better to say that.....then by all means say it LOL
-
And I was saying pride lasts a month.... Seems you have issues with keeping up LOL
-
Who said anything about shutting down an entire city?? Except you? I said "here it is an entire month all over the city." about Pride in response to events that are 6 hours in Reno.
-
Well, here it is an entire month all over the city.
