  1. OK. But the Quebec premier has said he will not.
  2. No he did not. I am saying the stock market reacted but it recovered bu y the end of the day. Oh and, Trump announced the big 3 car makers are getting an 1 month reprieve.
  3. I think you have to look at what vehicles are actually made in the USA. Many so called "imports" are actually made in the US. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_automobiles_manufactured_in_the_United_States
  4. Have you been paying attention? Trump has already "torn up" the trade agreement by imposing tariffs. His trade agreement by the way LOL The elephant in the room is a really really big elephant and his name is Donald Trump and he does what he wants. So, at best, there will be talks of reductions and the questions is, "What will Carney do next Monday"??
  5. Quebec is the largest electricity exporter to the US and they already said they would not cut exports to the US.

  7. I am really curious what Carney will do with Trump when he is Prime Minister next week. if he, in any way, get the tariffs reduced or eliminated, he will come out smelling like a rose and PP's hole will get deeper. I will say again, as I have all along. Trump hates Trudeau, not Canada. Trudeau dissed him when Trump was Pres the first time and he did not forget. I agree that Carney is not off the Liberal bandwagon and is a liberal through and through but, PP will have a pretty big wall to climb now. The Libs have announced a by election in April in Nova Scotia so I do not think there will be a federal election soon. Carney will get extra time.
  8. Nope, I am not the police officer that arrested them. I am not the prosecutor that tried them, I am not the judge that found them guilty as charged and not the judge that sentenced them. My political affiliations (whatever you make up) are not on trial or in evidence or being judged (except by you). The buffoon is basically you if you think anyone but the legal system tried and convicted the convoy king LOL Trump, the uber conservative is painting all conservatives with his brush. Look at his speech yesterday, abound with lies, falsehoods and incorrect facts and all the "conservatives" gave him a standing ovations while cheering for the lies. That paints all conservatives as followers, not matter what. PP has also never said anything against Trump and his actions against Canada. If conservatives here are "dropping in the polls" then even you are calling them "wishy-washy" and why would anyone want them in power?? You are not making a good argument to go conservative LOL
  9. If we were smart, we would not put an import tariff on things we need, like food. There was never a need to search for export markets because the US was buying all we had (or almost all we had). Yes, time to search now and the result of that is the Americans that used to rely on us will have to got hunting for new places to get their goods.
  10. Not sure why you are saying this? Obsession??? Only posting news articles. I did not make them up. Ia m not the one hero worshipping criminals. My point, all along, has been , you break the law, get arrested, get charged, go to trial and are convicted, then you are done. That is what they did. How can anyone be envious of having a criminal record??? There is no honour or principal in achieving a convicted criminal status and having that on your record...which will be with you for life.
  11. When could we ever have trusted Quebec? Let alone Alberta. Thing is, the feds do have the power to initiate an export tariffs. This is a tariff on all or designated exports. Quebec and Alberta can contest it but, it can happen.
  12. Before the price increase LOL
  13. Weapons manufacture is the backbone to most country's economy. Yeah, ban guns??? LOL We cannot even do that here and you want the world to do that? Pie in the sky stuff LOL
  14. Yup, here we go. Trump put 25% across the board on us except energy, which he knows he needs. Canada should increase or put on a export tax on all energy to the US. to at least 25%...hit em where it will really hurt. Our "tariffs" are really a pittance and only hurt a few exporters and manufacturers in Canada. What exactly are our Canadian tariffs on American imports? What products??? I hope it is not on products we really need, like fruits and vegetables.
  15. You surely don't believe you can make it from Toronto to Montreal (or further) faster than driving or flying with the route they picked and the number of stops they will make? LOL I used to take the VIA train from Ottawa to Montreal quite regularly but stopped. We went back to driving. The cost of the train and all the delays did not make it economically or logistically feasible any more.
  16. His riding is South Burnaby.... I think he will be voted back in LOL
  17. Me and your Dad feel the same LOL
  18. It could very well be but, there must be a reason for the decline from the cons and increase for the libs? Are there that many people that believe trump is influencing Canadian conservative party?
  19. 121 seats in Ontario But the 60 in GTA alone can win it for the libs LOL
  20. BC has been NDP as long as I can remember. Yes, there were others but only for a short time. Ontario has always been liberal
  21. One poll at this time is as good as another. Don't like it? OK. LOL
  22. Seems to me the nation has always been split. NDP in BC, Libs in Maritimes, whatever in Quebec, Libs in Ontario, the Prairie provinces waffle again LOL If the cons get a minority...it will be a disaster
  23. CPC 38& Lib 35% NDP 14% https://338canada.com/20250222-leg.htm While I think they should go, I cannot figure out what is causing them to climb in the polls and PC declining.
