Yes. Let's see the numbers behind your assertion that there is a tsunami of immigrants, Rue. Dub provided a very good link on the number of migrants to Canada. Perhaps you should look at those numbers to have a better understanding of how immigration works in Canada. Same goes for -1=e^ipi.

When Do We Say "No" to More Gov't, U.N. and I.P.C.C.?
Hudson Jones replied to jbg's topic in The Rest of the World
Who has delegitimized Israel? Pretty much every member nation accepts the state of Israel. The only questioning is Israel's occupation and annexation of land that does not belong to Israel. Only a very small number of people question whether life was worse under the apartheid regime for black South Africans. Those select people are either ignorant or they're bigoted racists who believe in fascism and dictatorship. -
Israel's Secret Field Hospital - For Syrians

Let's try again: Which country's official stance is that they do not accept international law and that they accept the Israeli settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem? So far, you have mentioned two countries, Canada and Australia. Unfortunately for you, despite their leaders paying lip service to the Zionist lobby, neither have officially rejected international law. Maybe Micronesia? Let me know when you find a country. -
Freedominion Closed - A Sad Day For Canada & Freedom

I just wanted to say that we agree on all of this. It's important to acknowledge sharing opinions when it does happen. I believe we should have no limitation on free speech. I believe no one should be banned from coming to Canada because of what they say. It doesn't matter if it's Ann Coulter, Galloway, some extremist Sheikh or some Koran burning preacher. Everyone should be allowed to speak. It doesn't matter how foolish they may sound. -

So far you have not shown any country who rejects international law. You tried to say that Canada rejects international law and accepts the settlements, but bud showed you that they don't. Next. -
The truth about Israel's secret nuclear arsenal

Isn't it great? The sooner that religion and nationalism is defeated and the sooner a humanist approach is taken to how we treat each other, the better. -
Israel's Secret Field Hospital - For Syrians

I think it is wonderful that Israel is doing this. Israel also sent in some help to Haiti during the devastating earthquake. There is no question that there are good deeds that are done by Israel and its people. However, these good deeds do not cancel out their policies towards the Palestinians and the land they continue to annex, as we speak. If Israel is going to be a close ally of the West and be held to Western standards, then Israel and its apologists should not be asking why it's receiving this kind of attention when there are countries with low expectation and who are not allies of the West committing human rights violations. Not to say I agree that the focus on Israel is unfair and unbalanced. This is not true, at all. I mean, just take a look at the policies and the double standard that the West has when it comes to treating Israel and Iran and their nuclear technology. Iran has signed onto the NPT and doesn't even have nuclear weapons. Israel, on the other hand, is sitting on hundreds of nuclear weapons and refuses to sign the NPT and allow any inspections of its facilities. Let's be honest about where the unbalanced and unfair focus and attention is. -
The truth about Israel's secret nuclear arsenal
Hudson Jones replied to bud's topic in The Rest of the World
That made me chuckle. However, in all seriousness, the relationship between Israel and Palestinians is viewed differently than previous generations, by the average young Jew outside of Israel. The BDS movement and the resistance from Jews who refuse to accept Israel's policies are the driving force behind the pressure on the establishment in Israel to change their policy against those they are occupying. -

Well stated. Another shift, which has many hawkish ZIonists, like Alan Dershowitz worried, are the younger Jewish population living outside of Israel. They can no longer relate to Israel because the Zionist policies contradict many liberal values. The big Zionist PR machine can no longer mask and stop the flow of information. The information is more easily available for people to see the atrocities that Israel continues to commit. The young Jewish population is speaking out more and more against Israel's policies as are politicians and major media outlets. -
PM Harper Shows Canadian Loyalty to Israel
Hudson Jones replied to bush_cheney2004's topic in The Rest of the World
To? You mean two? You posted a lot more than two incoherent misinformation. You need to focus. You are unable to grasp that the criticism of Harper is not about whether he "supports" or does "not support" child torture. The criticism is that Harper has failed to stand up for human rights and he has shown that he will be selective in condemnation based on who is doing them. -

Who Rue? Once again, you have the opportunity to post comments that show anyone on this forum who thinks Israel does not have a right to exist. Once again, you are seeing things that are not there. Aren't there rules on this forum for people to back up their claims? How many times are you going to accuse people of saying things without providing proof of it? -
Regarding the company, SNC-Lavalin: There is former CEO Pierre Duhaime's arrest by the RCMP last year over allegations of misspent funds that may have ended up as bribe money for projects in Montreal and Africa, and his re-arrest earlier this year on corruption charges linked to allegations of bribery involving the McGill University Health Centre in Montreal. There are the allegations of a ridiculously cozy relationship with the late Libyan dictatorMoammar Gaddafi, right down to offers of cushy executive board positions to the dictator's relatives, and allegations that the company tried to smuggle one of Gaddafi's sons into Mexico during the recent upheaval that left the dictator dead. The allegations of bribery against the company stretch from Bangladesh to Algeria to Montreal. At Quebec's inquiry into corruption in the construction industry, the company admitted to illegally raising funds for politicians in the province. The are two problems with what you are saying: 1 - Our political and financial support for Israel enables Israel to continue what it's doing. If there was no political and financial aid to Israel, when they are continuously violating international law, then I am quite certain that the conflict would be resolved by now. 2 - I point to and comment on Israel's crimes precisely for the above reason. We are partly responsible for allowing Isreal to go on with their violations. However, when it comes to most other conflicts, we manage to stay true to the standards of international law and human rights law.

PM Harper Shows Canadian Loyalty to Israel
Hudson Jones replied to bush_cheney2004's topic in The Rest of the World
I am not trying to insult you. I really do feel that you may have an issue in translating what is being written to what you are taking away. Because I could not have made it any clearer what I had said and what I meant. You are right, my words are clear. However, you are once again wrong about what I said. Just in case, I will re-post them. Despite quoting my comments, which could not be any clearer, you still took away something else from it. Now that you have been caught with another obvious error, you are still not able to admit that you were wrong. Instead you are now changing your tune, by going from "you did say Harper supports child torture" to "suggest that he is complicit..". I don't think Harper supports child torture. I think he believes the unconditional support for Israel trumps calling Israel on its violations of the law. This shows the hypocrisy and biased approach Harper takes when it comes to the Middle East and to world politics. It goes against what Canada stands for, what he supposedly stands for or what he wants us to believe he stands for. Harper has become an embarrassment on the world stage and I do hope that the next prime minister will be able to fix Canada's reputation. Wrong again. Palestinian children tortured, used as shields by Israel: U.N. It voiced deep concern at the "continuous use of Palestinian children as human shields and informants", saying 14 such cases had been reported between January 2010 and March 2013 alone. Israeli soldiers had used Palestinian children to enter potentially dangerous buildings before them and to stand in front of military vehicles to deter stone-throwing, it said. "Almost all those using children as human shields and informants have remained unpunished and the soldiers convicted for having forced at gunpoint a nine-year-old child to search bags suspected of containing explosives only received a suspended sentence of three months and were demoted," it said. Link According to the Public Defender’s Office, it learned of the issue during a standard visit to prison complex in Ramle at the height of the storm, with the children enduring freezing temperatures and inclement weather outside a transit facility. The children were to be held outside for a number of hours overnight after their arrest until they were to be brought to court in the early morning. Livni’s office confirmed that she had personally intervened. Link Here is more: Today, the U.N. Committee on the Rights of the Child accused Israeli forces of torturing Palestinian children. The report (pdf)comes within a year of three other reports: a UNICEF report on children in military detention last winter; a British report of a year ago, Children in Military Custody, which gained wide attention for its assertion that Israel was torturing children by holding them “routinely and for substantial periods in solitary confinement;” and this Breaking the Silence report last summer on Israeli soldiers’ abuses of Palestinian children, which included many reports of children getting beaten “to a pulp.” Link -

PM Harper Shows Canadian Loyalty to Israel
Hudson Jones replied to bush_cheney2004's topic in The Rest of the World
In other words, "look the other way." Let me know when Canadian government has shown the same affection for a country that has been accused of committing war crimes by numerous reports and investigations by respected organizations (like the red cross) and headed by respected individuals (like Judge Goldstone) and a country that has time and time again, violated international law and human rights for so long. I love how one of the most recent Zionist apologists attempts at stopping criticism of the Zionist atrocities against the Palestinians is to bring up the worst things in the world and say: "hey now. it's not so bad compared to those!" - like our governments support those who are committing the atrocities, such as in the Congo or Syria. -
Omar Khadr reclassified as a medium-security

I hope he writes a book about his experiences, including about his relationship with his father and his years in Guantanamo, where he transitioned from a boy to an adult. -
Why should we respect the imbecile until then?

Libya is another example. I'm not stuck in some cheerleading corner for a political party, cheering on some team and pretending they don't exist or trying to justify the HUGE mistakes that have been made.

The truth about Israel's secret nuclear arsenal
Hudson Jones replied to bud's topic in The Rest of the World
I think no one should have nuclear weapons. However, as long as Israel, U.S., Pakistan and India are surrounding Iran with the weapons, who the fck are we to tell Iran they cannot have weapons? I'm not going to sit here and drip with hypocrisy and tell a country who is surrounded with countries, who are not only militarily aggressive, but have repeatedly said that "all options are on the table", that they shouldn't have weapons. That's just retarded. I find it extremely puzzling that there is such an aggressive approach to Iran, who doesn't even have nuclear weapons when it's surrounded by the U.S. and its nuclear warheads and Israel headed by its unstable warmongering leaders and Pakistan, who is being influenced and bought by the crazy, Saudis who also fund Al Qaeda. -
The answer is, no. Let them sort it out on their own and with time. The reason is: Because we have seen what the outcome has been. Most recently: Afghanistan and Iraq.

Hypocrisy? Of course. Unjust? Certainly. This is a simple case of the mafia (Israel) and their mouthpieces, not wanting weapons in the hands of anyone else. The mafia wants to control the whole piece of the pie. -
an israeli's evaluation of ariel sharon's career
Hudson Jones replied to bud's topic in The Rest of the World
Sharon helped shape was ZIonism is and what Israel has become. Unless the Israeli people realize the path that they are on and prevent people like Netanyahu to get into power, Zionism will follow Sharon's path. Here is a good article by another self-hating Jew, Max Blumenthal How Ariel Sharon Shaped Israel’s Destiny A central player in Israeli affairs since the state’s inception, Ariel Sharon molded history according to his own stark vision. He won consent for his plans through ruthlessness and guile, and resorted to force when he could not find any. An accused war criminal who presided over the killing of thousands of civilians, his foes referred to him as “The Bulldozer.” To those who revered him as a strong-armed protector and patron saint of the settlements, he was “The King of Israel.” In a life acted out in three parts, Sharon destroyed entire cities, wasted countless lives and sabotaged careers to shape the reality on the ground.
