The salmon are still there. The reality is a story of gross mismanagement by an idiotic NDP government, a virus which apparently originated in a salmon farm and a landslide a few years ago in the canyon. However...apparently every 4th year is a "dominant" year for salmon and 2022 will be a "dominant" year. Expectations are the salmon will be back in good numbers this year. Like forestry, the resource needs to be managed properly. Not by morons in the NDP, but by people who want the resource to be there tomorrow. But just yelling the salmon are disappearing is nonsense.

They haven't bombed the crap out of the entire country. In fact, much of western Ukraine hardly knows there is a war. How do I know this? We rent our Euro-house to a Ukrainian woman who tells us what her family tell her. But Don LeMon says the opposite so...hook line and sinker.

Ukraine applied to become a NATO member in 2008. The application is still "pending ". Russia is attacking a non-NATO nation. This is none of NATO's business.

Ya know what? I agree 100% with you on this. Those who push for war land in 1 of 2 camps. 1. Leaders who are staring a personal fortune in the face, if only they can push the USA into another war. 2. Those who, for whatever reason, lack any foresight at all and figure a war of the magnitude these idiots are contemplating, won't really affect them. The members of the first group should lead the battle charges, should they happen. The members of the second group are...well there's no other way to put it except...dullards.

Oh Gawd! Were there tears running down your li'l cheekies while you produced this drivel? Look...child...Natural resources is one of the major bases of Canada's economy. Indeed...the entire world's economy. Until you...young-uns are able to produce a reasonable replacement for forestry or any of our resources, we should continue full speed ahead. Forestry happens to be a renewable resource and in fact, the forests are replenished after cutting. Don't live next to a mining operation, harden yourself to the actual realities of life, and get the hell outta the way or be bulldozed. Your choice.

Actually they are not mine. I can buy the land AROUND a lake, but I can't buy the lake. As for the forests, much of our forestry is on lease to huge foresting companies. Same with almost all mining operations. I think the issue here is, some people think that money grows in the Canadian Mint and is just...there. This gross misjudgement of economics, leads such folks to come up with all sorts of nutty ideas like... "Hey! Let's make laws that hamstring the (pick mining operation of choice here) and howl like mad that our very existence is at stake if we don't stop (pick mining operation of choice here)." Except...the simpletons never think past their impression that there will be no financial consequences to this silliness and that no replacement for said (pick mining operation of choice here), is necessary because...we have the Canadian Mint. Unfortunately...every action has an equal and opposite reaction. We who actually think past our own noses, see this and find the suggestion...childish. Thus I suppose to summarize... Our natural resources are not mine...not yours...nor are they cougar's. They are Canada's property. ALL OF US. And a lot of us...don't like the idea of tossing out our old shoes, before we have a new pair to wear. If you don't like forestry, find a reasonable alternative and we'll talk. Until then...those who scream about "their resources"...will be dealt with accordingly.
