Interesting segment on Global's New Reality tonight about boosters. The Moderna rep said that Canada delaying the second dose will likely delay the need for boosters because it produced a higher level of antibodies. Turns out Dr. Skowronski was right about delaying the second dose. Two researchers in Montreal said just concentrating on measurable antibodies is a mistake and doesn't tell the whole story when it comes to immunity. T cells remain dormant until they see the virus and then wake up to produce the antibodies to fight it.

I got a warning for that post but don't regret it one bit. I meant every word.

When you said you don't care about anyone but yourself you really meant it.

They may not die but at the beginning of the month 32 of the 130 BC Covid cases in ICU were under 50 and another 25 were in their 60s
-
Really, who then? Your solution is everyone at higher risk should hide or be locked up just so you aren’t inconvenienced.

How do you quarantine and vaccinate people when there were no vaccines? People in LTC’s weren’t exactly running around the neighbourhood. Anti vaxxers have the ultimate non plan.
-
We didn’t have any vaccines for 18 months after this started and now we have a bunch of bone heads that won’t take them.

And of course a hospital will admit them with no symptoms. Get real.

Gas Prices, International Markets -- What's Happening?

And yet, other EU countries have good facilities for those same long distance drivers. -
Ya, just what we need, unvaccinated nurses working in cancer wards. Effing pathetic you are.

A good VPN encrypts your data right on your computer and sends it to a server in the country you choose, which then decrypts it and sends it to the destination. Our government has no control over ones based in places like the Cayman Islands, Panama and other such places. Some websites will not accept data from a VPN server but they are rare. For instance Canadian Tire won't recognize mine but just about every other retailer does.

Enough is enough. Ban protests outside hospitals.

Nothing about god there. -
Dumber than dog crap. I was in palliative at our regional hospital today because my wife is there. They are short staffed because nurses are being removed for other departments because they are overloaded and there are non palliative cases in the halls of the palliative ward. You are so fucking ignorant you make me want to puke, and if that gets me banned from this site, so be it you wanker. I've tried talking sense to you but i'm done with you ignorant pricks.

Not fully vaxxed until at least two weeks after the second shot but not unvaxxed. That is misleading, although in BC, partially vaxxed doesn't cut it for a vaccine passport as of October 24 for the rest of the province and immediately for Northern, Interior and Eastern Fraser Valley regions. You do see posts where people say the unvaxxed should pay their own costs if they get sick but we all know our health care system doesn't work that way and holding people accountable for poor life choices would be a slippery slope. What would be next, too high a BMI or poor diet? Personally I think that people who choose not to be vaccinated should pay for the cost of drugs like MCA if they get sick. As long as they know that up front. After all, our medical system doesn't cover all drugs as it is.

The US is making such a mess of this pandemic, I certainly don’t look to them as an example. I find it hilarious that an anti vax, anti big pharma person like you is championing and expensive treatment over a cheap preventative when it is well known that treating disease is far more lucrative than preventing it. Makes me wonder if you aren’t a fake and in big pharma’s pocket yourself.

Gee, the guy heading the Covid Early Treatment Fund is bad mouthing vaccines. Quell Surprise! No conflict of interest there.

Brexiteers were moaning about Eastern Europeans taking their jobs so they all left and this is some of the fallout. -

Drivers who were EU citizens went back to EU. EU drivers don’t want to come to the UK because of red tape and poor amenities for drivers compared to Europe. -
I’ve always cared what it cost. Keeping people out of hospitals with vaccines is much cheaper, you can fully vaccinate 60 people for the cost of a single MCA treatment, never mind the cost of administering it. BC hospitals have cancelled elective surgeries. If you break a hip, you will wait at least three weeks. Got that first hand from a nurse working in our regional hospital yesterday. They are also taking nurses out of palliative where they have people in the halls because the rest of the hospital is swamped. You have no frigging clue what is going on.

Is this a great solution to Brexit?
Aristides replied to Jeshan's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Do you think the US would allow Brits to freely live and work in the US like they could in EU countries? I doubt it,
