I don't know anyone who supports forced vaccinations but those who think not getting vaccinated won't have consequences is dreaming.

I do read the comments and I see the same unsubstantiated stuff I see here. You call news organizations with names and reputations propaganda but will swallow anything you see on posted by real or fake sources on social media. That itself is a pandemic which has spread throughout the world. I've had this discussion with a grand daughter who is in 3rd year university with 60K worth of academic and athletic scholarships. She is an intelligent woman but also one of her generation. During the election she would say O'Toole or someone else said so and so. I would ask where she heard that and the answer would be it was on Facebook or they Tweeted it. I would ask her whether she had seen the actual quote or tweet and the answer was, "well no". I would ask her, are you just going to believe an anonymous source on social media without fact checking it yourself. It finally sunk in that maybe she should although I don't know that she does..

What’s your point, anyone over 40 is expendable? Your little article may be fake or real, just like everything else on Facebook. But the fact 41 out 42 Covid patients transferred south were not fully vaccinated makes no impression on you.

What nurse, provide a source. It’s common knowledge that it is difficult to get health care professionals to move to and stay in the North. If a system is overwhelmed it is overwhelmed, whether for the lack of beds or people to staff them.

Critical care patients do get transferred south because they need specialized treatment not available in the North, not because a bunch of dumb asses have overloaded northern hospitals.

Because dumb asses won’t get vaccinated. Well over a million dollars has been spent sending a bunch of dumb asses south because another bunch of dumb asses have filled up their own regions hospitals. How much do you think it costs to send a specially equipped aircraft with a doctor and nurse from Vancouver to Peace River to pick up a patient on a ventilator to transport them to a hospital on Vancouver Island, then position that aircraft back to its base in Vancouver, just to try and save one unvaccinated fool’s life. Like any of you hypocrites care what anything costs. They’re just damn lucky the Island has a high vaccination and low hospitalization rate and the capacity to take them. This isn’t Norway sunshine but maybe you should think about living there and enjoying their taxes.

Looks to me like you are trying to make big numbers look small. Almost all the dead people pass through ICU's to get there. This is a cluster all right, a Cluster F**** caused by a moronic antivax mentality in the north of the province. Good thing the parts of the province with high vaccination rates have room in their ICU's to take these idiots.

Peace River has the lowest vaccination rate in the country and it shows. 55 ICU patients have been airlifted to Fraser, Coastal and Island hospitals. 42 of them covid patients, 41 of them not vaccinated. BC currently has just over 150 Covid patients in ICU, more than a third of them from Northern which has 5% of the population.

And here I thought the north had a young population, turns out they are all geezers with co-morbidities.

Northern Health with 5% of the population had 25% of the Covid deaths over the long weekend. The great majority from the eastern part of the region.

The Peace River anti vax crowd must be really proud. They are now providing over a third of the BC's Covid ICU cases with just over 3% of the population

Herd immunity without vaccines has never worked. That is a real fact. If it did we would have developed immunity to diseases that were around for millennia before they were controlled with vaccines.

You are free to say what you want short of advocating violence, however no one is obligated to give you a platform to do it.

Depends on the passport I guess. In BC you go on to the government website and put in your health car number, date of birth and date of one of your vaccinations. It checks the government database to verify your info and issues a QR code specific to you. Black if you have had one shot, green if you have had two. When you go to a restaurant you show them the QR code and they scan it with an app they have downloaded from the government. It authenticates the QR code then you have to show a picture ID to verify that code is yours. Not impossible to fake maybe but not easy either. I have only used mine in three different places but all of them have checked it properly.

Ya but in this case the law they would be breaking is demonstrating too close to hospitals, they wouldn't get an opportunity to obstruct anyone. It has nothing to do with cracking down on opinions but very much to do with cracking down on selfish children who put their own wants above the health and welfare of the sick and those who treat them. The great majority are losing patience with this bunch and their tantrums. .
