  1. He is still under a grand jury investigation in Georgia which has nothing to do with Jan 6.
  2. She will go down in history as a real Republican who resisted its conversion to the Trump party and refused to join the cult. I don't know what will happen to Trump when the hearing is over because I am actually following it. Unlike you who is terrified of anything not fed to you by FOX. I'll take one MH as a fan over two dozen idiots like you.
  3. I said you can't blame it all on Trump, you know that if you bothered to read my posts.
  4. Bullshit. Imprisoning people and making them cope on their own with no assistance is more of a conservative ideology. They don't give a shit about innocent children, their resistance to even minor changes to gun laws into keep them out of the hands of mentally ill is proof.
  5. Alberta has received 0.02% of all equalization payments. The last was in 1964/65. So they became prosperous and the RoC benefited. Yes, we do look after each other, I just get sick of people dragging up the Norway canard.
  6. Yup. Like I said, you will wait while FOX tells you what to think.
  7. Her opinion means nothing to you. I asked how would you feel if she tried to interfere in the electoral system by lobbying officials. What you think means nothing. He is the one having his integrity questioned because of her actions.
  8. You are also one of the only developed countries in the world with the death penalty. The only other country is Japan and it executes almost entirely for multiple murders. South Korea still has the death penalty but hasn't executed anyone in the last 25 years. Still doubling down on the same insanity. https://worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/countries-with-death-penalty
  9. And what was the result of those challenges? They didn't get the time of day, even from fellow Democrats. They certainly didn't result in a mob storming the Capital, head hunting representatives. Jones was pointing out things in the system that could thwart democracy. You seem to think a party with a majority in Congress should be able to anoint a President on its own. That would make it like a parliamentary system, so why have a presidential election at all? That article was written two days before Trump supporters stormed the Capital.
  10. Not if you live in BC. The federal tax will eventually go into general revenue as well. Too much much money for governments to keep their hands off. Remember when the GST was sold on the claim it would be used to pay down the debt? Maybe you are too young for that.
  11. Norway doesn't share its revenues with nine other provinces and three territories, it keeps everything. Comparing a country with a province of a country is dishonest. Because of geography, Alberta also depends on the rest of the country for access to world markets, Norway depends on no one. The RoC's resistance to pipelines to tidewater has made Alberta a captive supplier to the US. The 20 billion more Alberta sends to Ottawa than it receives in federal spending would add up to a trillion dollars over the past 50 years. If it were independent it would have to maintain its own military and other federal jurisdictions but of course, it currently contributes a significant amount to those existing organizations. I still think Alberta is better off in Confederation and there is no question the RoC is better off.
  12. The US already has more people in jail than any other country on the planet. Still doubling down on the same insanity.
  13. So says the disciple of a self admitted crotch grabber who walked through the Miss Teen America dressing room and said he would jump on Ivanka's bones if she wasn't his daughter.
  14. When it comes to things the court may have to rule on, that's correct. Her interference was political, not legal. Would you be happy with Sophie Trudeau taking an active part in trying to influence our electoral system behind the scenes. We don't know and it would be irresponsible of someone in his position to make his reaction public. Whether he is upset about her position is between them but he can't be happy about being put in this position. If he is, he shouldn't be on the Supreme Court.
  15. I mean her activism that supported invalidating the election. She is the wife of a SCJ, not just another lawyer with an opinion. Her actions have the ability to damage the court's integrity and she should know better. If she wasn't the wife of a SCJ she would be just be another Trump disciple and the Jan 6 hearing wouldn't care about her.
  16. Point taken. Maybe it's to many on this forum, "liberal" is regarded as a swear word. I can be forgiven if I thought you were one of them. But I'll ask, why do highly socialized (and liberal) countries such as in western Europe, Scandinavia and Japan not have these issues to the same degree? Canada certainly has those issues but with the possible exception of a drug overdose crisis, not to the same degree, while Americans regard Canada to be extremely liberal. We only disagree on the use of the word liberal, we do agree that it's about supporting people instead of jailing them. Not just marriage counselling but giving them the good education and other opportunities to be successful in life. Marriages break down for many reasons, not the least of which is financial stress. Unfortunately, supporting people and education isn't big business like the prison and legal systems. The US spends over 80 billion every year keeping people in jail and over 100 billion to put them there. Many American police institutions need reform but defunding them can't even be considered until those supports are in place and functioning. Other than watching some of CNN's specials that have nothing to do with politics, I don't watch US cable news. CNN, FOX, any of them.
  17. Not really considering what she has been up to.
  18. Which Thomas, Clarence or his wife?
  19. Cheney is looking at her place in history and is showing more balls than just about anyone else in her party. It may cost her the primary but she will not go down in history tarred with Trump next to her name.
  20. Ya, anyone not of the Trump cult is a Democrat. SCJ's are not supposed to be loyal to anyone but you would think that if the cases had any merit, a least they would have decided to hear them.
  21. I guess you will have to wait until Tucker tells you what to think.
  22. The SC doesn’t hear cases that have no merit. They have far more serious matters to take up their time. So who is the real SCJ, Clarence or his wife?
  23. Funny but I don’t like JT. He’s an ass. The SC that ruled against him had a 6-4 conservative majority, 3 of the judges appointed by Trump.
  24. It doesn’t show that at all, she consistently voted along party lines during Trump’s time. Thanks for confirming you never looked.
  25. Because they had no merit. That’s what courts do. Even his stacked SCOTUS wouldn’t give them the time of day.
