Humans CANNOT change the climate of a planet
Aristides replied to reason10's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
They only think they have won. They will lose along with everyone else. -
Putin invaded Ukraine, Putin invaded Ukraine. Putin is using drones and rockets as terror weapons against civilians. You accuse Trudeau of being a fascist because of the EMA where on one got hurt and give Putin a pass on indiscriminately carrying out terror tactics on civilians. You are effing pathetic.

Sagan was an incredibly interesting dude and his scientific credentials are undeniable. HIs interests and positions on so many subjects were bound to make him controversial. When Cosmos first came out I was mesmerized, no one had made the universe so interesting and understandable before, or raised questions that we still struggle with today. -

Interesting how reason10 joined less than 24 hrs after DONKIROCK made his last post. -
Alberta is landlocked. Look at a map sometime.

I lived in Alberta during the 70's. It was great and I like Albertans but they make it difficult at times.

Like the supreme court, the Senate has mandatory retirement at 75. Lifetime appointments are a US thing.
-
I would hope they care for democracy more than any PM. The Senate doesn't answer to the PM. They have no reason to fear him.

High cost producers had already left the market because they were losing money. Oil production isn't just a tap that you turn on and off. -
Why can't they? If the US decides to supply longer range systems than HIMARS they definitely will. If they take more territory and get closer to the border they will be able to do it with HIMARS. Probably the only reason they haven't struck Russian targets is restraint from NATO not wanting the war to escalate past where it is already. Do you really think calling people names hurts them? It just makes you seem more desperate.

When Covid hit, demand cratered and oil prices went negative because buyers couldn't find places to store the oil they had bought. Now we have the opposite. Demand is has skyrocketed and all the players who left the industry haven't got production back up. At the beginning of Covid, supply far exceeded demand, now we have the opposite until production finally catches up. Demand has exceeded pre Covid levels because people are playing catch up. It's not complicated. -
Well Russia is doing its best to leave Ukraine a waste land from indiscriminate bombing. That's all it can do because its military is failing miserably. Just think how much better the Ukrainians would be doing if they could attack Russian supply lines within Russia. Russia has all the advantages and they are still getting beat. Must be humiliating for Russia booster like you.

https://www.livescience.com/65302-greenland-ice-melting-so-much-faster.html And then there is Antarctic glacial ice loss https://grace.jpl.nasa.gov/resources/31/antarctic-ice-loss-2002-2020/ If the Greenland ice sheet melts completely, forget Hawaii vacations, Waikiki will be under water.
