  1. Russia has been blowing up civilians since this started. The bridge was a legitimate target as it is being used to supply Russian troops in Ukraine.
  2. Read the quote from the bill. It doesn't matter what the police do if the courts put violent offenders right back on the street. Why do you say it is what the people wanted? Since when did the people have a say in how the justice system operates? I think this will be a real issue in the next election.
  3. It's up to governments to do something about it. They aren't. In fact they have been making things worse. That quote I posted is from the Federal government's own overview of C-75. https://justice.gc.ca/eng/rp-pr/csj-sjc/jsp-sjp/c75/p3.html
  4. Again, how does a building contractor from Connecticut saying that add up to NATO boots on the ground?
  5. An ex American serviceman volunteer in the Ukraine army says welcome to America to someone and that equals NATO boots on the ground. Give me a break.
  6. It is a big bill, it's an omnibus bill that the Liberals used to rant about when they were in opposition. Bill C-75 makes it almost impossible to hold the people who are making these random attacks, that's why you see people arrested for these crimes and immediately put back on the street even though they have caused severe injuries to their victims. Courts are next to useless when it comes to protecting the public. The default position of the courts when a person violates conditions of release, is to just remove the condition. This just happened with a 17 year old in our town who continually violated a court imposed curfew. What does that teach a 17 year old other than he can get away with anything.
  7. Former US soldiers volunteering in Ukraine. Not mercenaries, volunteers. Your point?
  8. Not sure why Putin thought attacking Ukraine would weaken NATO. Instead it showed Eastern Europeans what a threat Russia is.
  9. It’s interesting that people who condemn the US for regime change, support Russia when it does it.
  10. So you agree, these young men had good reason for breaking Putin's law and Russia had no business jumping into this mess.
  11. I would think you should be happy that hundreds of thousands of young Russians don't want any part of this war because Putin has become a cornered rat and the Russian people are the only ones who can stop it. Were the Viet Nam draft dodgers who came to Canada hero's or zero's and did their actions have any influence on the US getting out of Viet Nam?
  12. Russia wanted this war. Russia started this war. You support Russia. I don't.
  13. This is my point. https://www.newsweek.com/putin-mobilization-backfires-russians-flee-kazakhstan-georgia-eu-1748771 https://nypost.com/2022/09/28/russia-tries-to-draft-those-looking-to-flee/
  14. I imagine there are some trying to avoid conscription but not the 300,000 that have already fled Russia.
  15. The offensive isn't Kyiv, it's kicking Russian butt in the occupied territories. What Russia is doing now is terrorism, not a military offensive and it is just pissing off Ukrainians even more than they are already.
  16. Thought this this topic was Nordstream but WestCanMan seems to turn all his topics into Covid topics.
  17. Any election your side doesn't win is a sham. We already know that.
  18. Putin is pissed off because the Ukrainians took out a big chunk of the Kerch bridge to Crimea. His only response is to murder more civilians. Zelenskyy has already been on TV addressing the attacks.
  19. Just the kind of people you want on the country's highest court.
