Canadians will pay the price for not building pipelines.

Good thing it wasn't built, we would have been tied to their apron strings even tighter. -

We did build pipelines but we built them south on the premise that it would provide energy security for both Canada and the US. Obviously a big mistake. -
Hitler invaded Greece because Italy had made such a mess of it. To invade Greece he had to go through Yugoslavia. The upside is that it delayed his invasion of Russia long enough that he couldn’t take Moscow before winter. Hitler laid out his intention to expand east (liebensraum) in Mein Kampf in 1925.

Norway, Belgium, Holland and Denmark were all declared neutrals, just like Sweden and Switzerland. Hitler attacked neutrals that had no Allied troops present. He invaded Denmark because he could, Norway for its iron ore and other minerals, Holland and Belgium to bypass the Maginot line to get at France.

No he didn't but he did make the mistake of thinking he could trust him. Hitler didn't just happen to be our adversary. He took over Austria and Czechoslovakia. He invaded Poland, Russia, Denmark, Norway, Holland, Belgium, Yugoslavia and Greece. None of those countries declared war on him nor were French or British troops based there when he did invade them. He even declared war on the US even though they hadn't declared war on him.

Alberta and Smith bend over... again... for Big Oil.

Canada needs leaders now, not politicians. Scary that the only people stepping up right now are Trudeau and Ford. -

Parliament is prorogued but the government is still functioning. The government does not need Parliament to impose tariffs any more than Trump needs Congress.. You would have us helpless for three months while Trump does whatever he wants because you don’t like the Liberals. I don’t like them either but this is far more important than playing politics. Why should I trust a man who puts partisanship above his country? I would be far more likely to support PP if he could show he is above that. PP says he will fix what is broken. Talk is cheap, how is he going to do it? -

Trump has said he will impose tariffs on Feb 1. Even the government fell today and an election was called immediately, it can't happen for at least 37 days. We need to have a united response ready in eight days and all you can go on about is getting the Liberals out of office. PP says he is almost on the same page. WTF does that mean? He won't say. It is true, he said Canada should become a state today at the WEF. -

Trump said again today at Davos that we should become a state. We are not a problem for the US aside from energy that they need, the US has a large trade surplus with Canada. -

Well they seem to have every province but one onside, including four out of five conservative premiers and Quebec. What is PP going to do because he won't say. -

No tariffs no getting closer to China. Why are you blaming the Liberals for what Trump is doing? This fixation on the Liberals when our country is being attacked is insane but sanity seems to be in short supply these days. Shoot yourself in the foot so the other guy can't have the only pair of crutches. -

What has he done other than constantly tell us how bad this country is? He could be part of the solution in trying to bring the federal government and provinces together to form a united front but instead he does what he always does, be the politician. If and when he does become PM he will need the provinces behind him just as much as the current government does. -

Not you too. I haven't voted Liberal since Trudeamania in 1968 and have never voted NDP either. What unity with PP, he won't even take a position on this or other issues and that's a big reason I can't stand the guy. I don't know what I'm going to do in the next election. Where is the Rhinoceros party when you need it. -

I’ll support anyone who can unite this country against what is the biggest threat to it in my lifetime. All I do know is it won’t be Danielle Smith.
